I recently made a crystal bracelet using fireline but stopped when I saw the fireline shredding. Next attempt was with nozio thread but when it broke, I gave up the project. Your video is helpful. Thanks!

That is great advice as I have had a few bracelets break using crystals. I have been advised to go through my crystals with my thread more than once to reinforce them. What is your advice on this. Thank you.

As long at the thread is thick enough I would not recommend double strands. This will push the threads both closer to the edge of the crystal.

Thank you for this great video Allie. I recently bought 3 boxes of cheap (but still pretty!) crystals (although they're probably glass!! LOL!) which look like fake Swarovski beads. I have real Swarovski crystals in my stash so I compared 2 fakes with 2 "reals". The real Swarovski beads were smooth and so sparkly, while the fakes LOOKED nice, the colors were very good, but when I felt them they had quite a few sharp divets in them. Can I still use them for making, say, 'Illusion Necklaces'?

I've only had problems on the rare occasion I used Nymo. I was new to beading, didn't yet understand the differences between threads, and it came in a project kit, so (not yet having a thread stash) I used it. Bracelet's had to be repaired 3 or 4 times, and sits in pieces again as we speak. Almost exclusively use Wildfire or Fireline now, and no further problems.👍

Thank you for this video! I’ve had bicones break my thread, even fireline and wildfire. Delica beads that is silk glazed are also difficult in my experience. I think your advise will help me! ☺️👍🎉 on Instagram I’m called @lovelylittlethingsimake

Great tutorial! Thank you. This goes along with what you are saying, but I learned to be super conscious of how I am going through the crystal. I go straight through without pulling up of down right after coming through the other end. Thanks for helping us to improve our skills!
