Cool channel btw been sat watching all your stuff for about 5 hours , i was trying to sort the house out and put the christmas tree up but ended up getting sucked in by the warhammer 30/40k stuff 😏
The Outer Circle this has surprisingly always interested me. Yoy work with steel but to what ends? Like TIG or MIG stuff or do yoy work on a lathe or something? Bit off topic but surprisingly interested
Structural steel and reinforcing work. I sell it, I bend it, I cut it, I weld it, whatever needs to be done. Some days it's incredibly hands on, other days I'm sifting through plans and figuring out how much steel, what sizes etc. are needed for a structure, and I'll then make up a take-off list and get it manufactured.
Oddly enough kids are something I have infinite patience for.. up to a certain age, maybe 7 or 8, from then on, they are self-aware enough to know when they are being a dipshidiot. That's my new swear word by the way, and I want to make it a thing.
Huh, I might convert those Genestealers into a unit for an Imperial Militia from a mineral mining planet in 30k. Will probably support on Patreon anyway though. I need to keep my fellow Aussie funded to keep yelling at GW when it frequently fucks up.
I hadn't thought of converting the Cultists back into militia, that's a brilliant idea! Probably the closest we can get to normal Imperial citizens aside from Necromunda, or those metal militia models that cost a fortune on eBay.
Nuln oil is fcking awesome stuff, makes almost everything look like it was painted by a pro, if you do gold or white skulls on space marine chests, backpacks or on their weapons then put nuln oil over it all, it makes it look like you spent hours shading it 😎👍 put nuln oil on anything with detail and it looks cool af 😉👍
Its nice to watch a painting video that doesn't make me feel like a moron, unlike a certain other channel.
So what you're telling me is you DON'T thin your paints?
The Outer Circle well I actually didn't use to but I think we all have that awkward early hobby phase.
Thank you for this video! You gave me great ideas on how to paint the bases for my new Orlocks ^^
Cheers mate, that was interesting and entertaining to watch, helped me along nicely with my mate's Thunderhawk.
Thunderhawk? In what way out of curiosity?
The Outer Circle I'm building the sucker for him, it's the old skool resin version so a 'characterful' kit for sure.
Just paint up the Realm of Battle Board with the crashed ne on it hahaha
The Outer Circle hell of a lot cheaper as well!
Thunderhawks only last 1 maybe 2 turns anyway, s just cut-out the middle man and go straight for the wreck.
Good tutorial. These bases look quite nice.

Man, my hands are worn out up close! This is what happens when you work with steel children.

Real children wear you out even faster...

I shall now use that every day of my life
I think I'm going to do this for my dark mechanicum on sector mechicus bases.
they are some cool bases, i will get some and paint them as necron bases :)
Did you pick out the egdes of the steel after the wash but before the sponging? Kind of looks like it.

Genestealers and chaos cultists are coming to necromunda via white dwarf sometime around the release of the orlock boxed set
sam newman You just made my day!
Is the orange wash you are putting into the resesess just a little bit of brown with orange and water mixed?
It is indeed. Nice and simple mix with a bit of water to thin it right down.
Looks like I'm gonna have to join the Patreon then :^)

You're actually a fucking crackhead if you think putting a black wash over something makes it look pro-painted
