Hiking Diamond Head

There are 4 ways to get to Diamond Head from Honolulu. You can go by car, taxi, bus/shuttle or walk. We decided to walk from our hotel all the way to Diamond Head and then hike the summit trail. The summit train is 0.75 miles each way or 1.5 miles total. There are some amazing views at the top and it is definitely worth the hike. If you are visiting Oahu this is one the things you need to do.

I absolutely loved Hawaii!!! I’m more of a mountain kinda girl but there’s just nothing like Hawaii!!! I’m definitely going to go back!!! Watching your video brings back such good memories!!! Thank you for sharing!!!

This is my favorite video to date! We were blessed to make this trip 30 years ago! Brought back so many memories! We too thought those stairs would never end 😂 the view at tge too and from the bunkers was truly amazing. One of my most favorite times. We stayed a full week on Oahu but needed two to see everything and do everything we wanted! Some of our favorites was the dole plantation, Pearl Harbor, and Edpecially the Polynesian Cultural Center, we planned only 1 day but should have done 2 or 3 days, it was so fun!!

Chris and I took my mom in January 2023. We did not visit Diamondhead. My favorite thing we did on Oahu was Punchbowl National Cemetary (my grandfather is interred there) and it’s a beautiful memorial and driving along the North Shore is much more beautiful than the Waikiki side. We also went to Kauai, which was our preferred island to go to.
