This weapon absolutely destroys in PvE. Moveset is crazy good in both forms, great range & attack speed, buffable, good scaling and base damage and considering no enemy is strong against thrust, it basically wrecks everything. How people choose Burial Blade over this is beyond me.
The Burial Blade is a scythe, which instantly makes it a popular choice for its aesthetics, and of course, not everyone has the DLC. The Burial Blade also compliments the Blade of Mercy really well, having similar scaling but a nearly opposite moveset, and the Blade of Mercy is also very popular for its stunlock potential. The Church Pick is superior in most ways though, and it's versatile AF. My Church Pick character is probably the third most effective that I have (after my Beast Claw and Kos Parasite builds).
Don't get me wrong, my Burial Blade build is probably my 4th most effective, and it is my most used. I think that the Church Pick can output damage more effectively, but it isn't as fun or satisfying to use as the Burial Blade.
For me it seems not a lot of people know that the church pick has a follow up charge attack. So I always bait that and usually it kills them, does a ton of damage none the less

Jo Moose, I just found your channel. Nice stuff! If I can give you a little tip? Use more combos/delayed chain attacks. Its really hard to dash in and hit something with a single attack. But with delayed attack chains (even if you miss your first shot) they will come back and run into your attacks. Its also hard for most people to keep track if your playing this fast. Thats why I always opt to ~200 stamina (mostly through runes).

At 5:24, why not just start shooting at him? I understand that it's not considered very good sportsmanship if you just finish your opponent with a pistol, but he tried to cheese you with an arrow, so it's only fair.

+Mike Dubadub Most of it's attacks are thrusts, but it does have a few that wont get the boost so I always use physical ones because then all the attacks will be stronger.

I think it has lore implications as he had poise, what games have poise? Dark souls and what weapons in that game? The moonlight greatsword. Therefore the holy moonlight sword allows for the activation of POISE

The design was probably made to look like a stake on purpose too, considering how in mythology, the stake was one of the weapons employed against monstrosities, more specifically the vampire, like the silver bullets and whatnot.
I dont like PvP becuase it makes my character seem weak i have Lvl 9 Burial blade with 12% damage gems and 50 skill and 30 arcane im lvl 130 and i dont even scratch people but in pve my Burial does nearly 400 damage per R1 hit

You should have a heavy abysmal the damage I have on a 50/50 build with two 21.5 gems has a AR of 703

drumsallday19 If a gem is based on % then it will give a greater increase if it's attached to a higher base damage.
the transformed mode deals pure thrust damage so, why didn't you put thrust gems?
