This man was my childhood. Devastated he’s retiring but he deserves to do whatever he wants.

And similar things that we faced Kenny as well from 3 years ago and Michael Kay wasn’t simply pleased about Kenny retirement

Wishing this gentleman all happiness and health going forward. “I don’t have to go anywhere, anytime I don’t want.” Exactly. Retirement is freedom.

I wasn't expecting this because the season just started. It's weird because I started listening to some Yankee games on the radio last year since I got the SiruiusXM app. I really enjoyed listening to him and it turned out to be his last full season. I was sorta looking forward to hear some this year but oh well I understand. John Sterling retired just one day after Verne Lundquist retired and they both got great voices in sports.

John Sterling was the soundtrack of my childhood and into adulthood. What a legend. I'll miss hearing him every night.

All the love and appreciation in the world to John. I’ll miss this man’s voice more than I can put into words. Can’t imagine someone ever quite filling his shoes. He’s a true legend of his craft.
