Six or 'Jimothy' wasn't bad or evil. She simply dropped Mono because she realized he looked a lot like the thin man, the one who captured her. So to avoid being snatched up again and have who knows what happen to her, she drops Mono in an attempt to save herself. She took a long look at his face to come to the conclusion. If he had his paper bag on, she wouldn't have known Mono is the thin man, therefore she wouldn't have dropped Mono.

The end of this game threw us a curveball, and heck, that caught me dead unaware

By the way the yellow raincoat girl is Six and the boxhead is Mono
Six dropped Mono because Mono destroyed the thing she loved in front of her. Her safe space and her music box. The Thin Man is not trying to kill you and Six. He is trying to stop you. He captures Six to separate Mono and Six and try to break the time loop cycle but just when The Thin Man gets Six the cycle starts. As The Thin Man trying to save his child self he chases you away from the Signal Tower but in the end he is defeated to save himself and his chidlself. And also The thin man is not the only one to break this cycle. The Lady who is Adult Six is also trying to break it in the first game. When Six goes to the Maw by the Ferryman she has one thing only and is to defeat her future self and take the place as the lady and no matter what they do they are both powerless to break the cycle. The reason why the cycle cannot be broken because this Eye Creature is the reason for it. Little Nightmares II is not a sequel from the first game but a prequel shown in the secret ending in the poster showing the location of the maw in the first game. To Mono it makes sense he is trying to save Six from her nightmare but to Six, this enrages her all she wants to do is to protect her music box even to the point of killing him. Six doesn’t catch Mono to save him she wants to look at him and when Mono looks back for what is taking so long he realizes there is mo remorse for what she about do and with that she retracts her arm and watches Mono fall. Six is actually a Sadistic kid when she was with the mannequin arm in the hospital she was not playing with the fingers. She was breaking them, when the citizen kills himself in the TV Six kicks it, and after the kids in the school captured her when she is confronted with one she pounces on it smashing it’s head against the floor till it breaks and also in the hospital when the doctor was burned in the furnace she shows no remorse for she actions. But on the other side of Six ever since Mono and Six helped each other, Mono and Six were starting to form a friendship of some sort but that friendship ends when Mono hits the music box with the mallet. In the first game when you get captured as Six and the runaway kid in the DLC by the Janitor , that is the way of the Lady/ Adult Six stopping any child interfering with the maw and to stop any child that resembles Six coming to her. When the mirror breaks the lady does not put up a fight she knows what is going to happen and she has accepted her fate to be eaten by herself. The reason why Child Six eats is to fill up her mind and Soul to fulfill her mission. The rat helps her navigate the Maw, when she eats the Nome who was the runaway kid turned into a nome from the lady, the power helps her to know what she needs to defeat her. So the Thin Man and the lady are both powerless to stop and break-the cycle and to be defeated by their child self. Hopefully you guys enjoyed that theory of mine now this is my theory this came from the Gaming Beaver’s theories.

This is what I think what happened: I think that Jimothy was trying to take mono out of the tv because Jimothy was protecting himself from his bad self
But then Jimothy was evil when you broke the music box that’s when she became bad. ( Jimothy was a girl by the way )
That’s why she let you go so she could live without you. She also know that you where bad when she was holding on to you
In the future, and that is another one of why she let go of you.
