This was a really good episode!! My husband's been diabetic for a long time, and I just got diagnosed recently myself, so I've done quite a bit of reading about insulin - and this is the single clearest explanation I've ever come across!! In fact it actually explains why we have to take insulin by subcutaneous injection, too. I knew about some of the proteins and processes but the illustration of the mechanisms is just so well done here - they make SENSE in a way they didn't before, the various separate bits of information finally lining up into a coherent picture in my head. Great job, y'all!!!
My A&P professor taught us the immune system using this exact analogy. Her name is Dr. Margaret Long, and she is an amazing instructor! It helped us to understand the immune system so well.
11:18 An interesting consequence of those transporting processes is that exocytosis increases cell membrane surface area, while endocytosis decreases it. That implies there needs to be a balance between both, or the cell could become too big (potentially rupturing) or too small.
I have a request can you please make the serieses of physics chemistry and English too so we can easily get knowledge and benefits from this channel it is difficult to search best channel but randomly i found this channel on RUclips this really amazing 😍 love from Pakistan
Proteins again! The viruses have proteins on their surfaces that can mimic "authorized" stuff; that tricks the transport protein, the gate, into opening.
First of all i wanna appreciate the whole team of crash course who brings alots of informative vedios regarding our subjects thankyou ❤ lots of love from Pakistan ❤ iam the biggest fan and student of this series and dr Sammy is doing his best his way of teaching is so amazing 😍 keep doing I know this platform become most famous in the whole world its pray from my side as Iam Muslim ❤ inshallah you'll become most popular by these series and this channel
I absolutely love this video and the way it simplifies complex biological concepts! 🌟 It would be amazing to see a follow-up video exploring the evolution of the cell membrane, particularly focusing on Abiogenesis. Understanding the origins and development of this crucial cellular structure would be incredibly fascinating! 🧬✨
i think the most important thing i learned from this episode is that dr. sammy would make an amazing dungeon master :P

I am taking biology in college even tho i did not take it in high-school. thank you crash course for these informative videos!!
You are a new teacher. Your way of teaching is amazing
Yay!! New updated crash course vids for Biology 🥰
I love the structure of these series from really big biologic systems to now veryy small! Thankyou sm for these videos.
I love this analogy of the cell wall
How do viruses trick the cells into letting them in? Also love the new biology vids it's definitely my favorite subject
Proteins again! The viruses have proteins on their surfaces that can mimic "authorized" stuff; that tricks the transport protein, the gate, into opening.
That was outstanding.
please continue this biology series...

Sammy should be knighted by the Queen for this excellent video👑
Thank you!
I wanna play D&D now
Nice
Well done ☀️
You have a watch in the video, Courageous!
SO EARLY!! love the vid, 80th like!
Awesome thanks to this course i have an A on Biology is cool
this is so cool omg
