The Perfect Form Spell should also be working correctly on the Main Character now! Here are the Patch Notes from 20 Oct Patch: "Fixed the incorrect stacking for the Perfect Form ability;" For me, when I first tested it, it was not working for MC, but should now!
Perfect Form can also be Extended with you have an outside source of Extend (either Universalist or a Magus). Doesn’t affect the build on this video, but just a FYI.
You can also extend (I think) by taking favorite metamagic extend. If you enter battle and use casters gaze and have one other source of caster level increase you can have it apply for 24 hours...

2 things you might have missed - improved Aeon Bane also applies to all of your summons. That's why they make good summoners. Also, at Aeon 8, the gaze Temporal Jump opens up. Which gives everything your team does advantage, and everything enemies do disadvantage. That is by far the strongest gaze.
They do, but you do not need to spend gaze for that and/or mythic ability. Everyone, including summons, in the guarded heart circle are strong critters. Apply nice mass bufs and edict of impenetrable fortress and you, your party members and summons are free from harm. If somebody in the party do have an ability to share team feats that makes everyone on the board a killing machines. Aoen bane + mass buffs + guarded heart + shared team feats + edict of impenetrable fortress = you could leave your summons to deal with a deamon lords and watch the show from the first row.
I cover Temporal one at the end of the Guide in the Mythic Section, as I indeed forgot about it in the Gaze Section as it comes pretty late! It can make for a nice combo with Attack + AoO Gaze. My only issue is it basically only applies ONCE, per round no?
No, its definitely not the strongest gaze by far. Its attack rolls only (not every roll or even every d20 roll), and only 1 per target per round. This is vastly weaker than the standard attack roll gaze, whose bonus is +5 by mythic rank 8. When is forcing an enemy to reroll a single attack per round, or allowing a character to reroll a single miss per round, going to be better than a constant +5/6 to your AB and -5/6 to enemie's AB? Assuming we are disregarding mythic rank 10, +/-5 AB is an increase/reduction in chance to hit of 25% to every single attack roll. This is in absolute terms, not proportional terms, ie. 20% chance to hit becomes 45%, not 25%. Forcing a reroll is mathematically more complex, but will almost never be better than a 25% increase/decrease in practice, unless the enemy is overwhelmingly likely to miss or you overwhelmingly likely to hit in the first place. Let's say its a 50/50 chance. Rerolling makes it 75% chance, which is no better than the attack roll gaze. The further you deviate from 50/50 either side, the weaker the effect size. If its a 30% chance, now its a 49% chance, vs 55% with the attack roll gaze. If its a 10% chance, now its a 19% chance, vs 35% with the attack roll gaze. If its a 5% chance, it increases to a 9.75% chance, so even if the enemy's AC exceeds your AB by 24, the AB gaze would still increase your chance to hit to 10%. It would only be when the enemy AC exceeds your AB by 25 or more than that temporal jump is better. At the other end of the spectrum, if its a 70% chance, now its a 91% chance, still less than 95%, and if its a 90% chance, now its a 99% chance, which actually is better than the attack roll gaze, which will always cap out at 95% chance due to auto success/failure on 20/1 rolls, which is what I was referring to earlier with it being better only with an overwhelming likelihood of success or failure on the first place. Making a very likely event near certain honestly isnt that useful when it comes to attack rolls. The occasional miss isnt a big deal. If its vital not to be hit by an enemy, protective luck is FAR more powerful for this purpose than relying on an ability which allows the enemy a save and effects only one of their attacks per round anyway. And aside from nearly always being a mathematically superior effect, the AB gaze applies to every single attack, which is massive. Conservatively, after haste and attacks of opportunity, a warrior will attack 6 or more times a round.
@@notalefty999 It depends on your perspective. First hit with high chance to reach your target's skin to is all you need to apply dispell on the target and have 100% chance to hit with the lowest bonus attacks. As I wrote before, it's not so hard to stack 5 rerolls on the first hit. Bit of Luck, Brilliant Inspiration, Temporal Jump.... You not even need double hex for that.
@@leevothas No, it doesnt depend on perspective, its just mathematics. You can be correct or incorrect. Believing temporal jump, with its weaker effect once per round is "by far the strongest gaze" is objectively wrong. The AB gaze blows it out the water. If you stack other reroll effects, the relative benefit is even smaller. The difference between the best of 5 vs 4 rolls is far smaller than the difference between the best of 2 rolls vs just having 1 roll. A +/-5 modifier on a d20 roll is always a stronger effect on a d20 roll than rolling twice and taking the best/worst result. If it was the best of 4 rolls with +5 to hit, that is WAY better than the best of 5 rolls with no modifier. The only reason why there is any exception to this is the automatic success/failure on a 20/1. Basically, unless the gap between AB an AC is so large that you will hit only on 20s, or so small that you will hit on everything other than 1, you will always prefer AB over temporal jump. And that would be true even if temporal jump applied to every single attack, not just once a round.
I played Aeon with a Trip Kineticist focused on melee. One of Aeon's gazes make your party immune to continueous aoe skills, so I basically threw Deadly Earth on top of me and then rushed in swords blazing (literally). Everything was simply droping before they could retaliate. Glorious.
That would be an amazing way to fit a kineticist into a party, since their best infusion is by far deadly earth and it doesn't play nice with the rest of your team. I guess Demon would still be better assuming you see your party as an entourage dedicated to buffing you up.
It's worth noting that with a full caster and an item or two to increase caster level, the caster level gaze can push your casting up to over 25 by the end of the game, for 24 hour round per level buffs
The biggest issue with Aeon is for fully two thirds of the game, its impact on your gameplay is pretty minimal. I think to help the pacing, the 2nd gaze should be mythic rank 5, and perpetual gaze should be baseline. Having perpetual gaze baseline would be a significant quality of life boost also, as it could just be a toggle, not need each gaze to be manually toggled every combat. Also, caster level gaze outside of combat would be a lot more convenient for getting round per level spells to 24 hours.
Doing a Tactical Leader 14 / Divine Hound 3 / Gendarme 3 for this one. Not sure why people make straight up AWFUL suggestions like "Judge" tbh, the class that loses bane from Inquisitor??? For an Aeon build??? Hello, what?
I'm currently doing Inevitable Excess DLC with my Aeon, after beating the main storyline with him, and yeah, it's a very enjoyable mythic path, story-wise. As for the gazes, I must say that even though I do have the attack of opportunity gaze, I generally do not have a need for it. Perhaps it's due to a few reasons, such as me having two casters on my party, my main character being based on Vital Strike, or maybe me just playing the game on Hard difficulty and not unfair, but I simply prefer my setup to be the attack gaze, the temporal jump, and the relativity of space, just so I can really reduce any chance of missing attacks (which I find specially important for Vital Strike) for any given reason, and it also makes my whole party far tankier to attacks due to concealment and rerolls, even though I do have displacement prepared if need be. I simply find it to be overkill since outflank combos tend to delete anyone when you already have Ever Ready, but maybe I'm wrong, and I'd like to know what you think on the matter :) As for the damage reduction gazes, it's kind of unfortunate that they nerfed how damage reduction works, since there probably could be a build where you could just take very little damage through stacking damage reduction along with the gazes, making this impenetrable wall of a character. Could be a fun concept, but who needs that when you got Edict of Invulnerability, heh. Either way, thanks for covering this Mythic path, it's always nice to see what experienced players come up with!
Aeon Bane can be applied to your summons at Mythic 6 right? Will the dispels proc from your summons as well? if so, then Monster Tactician Aeon is a fantastic boss killer. Afaik, Inquisitor Bane rounds stacks with Aeon Bane as well.
I was really hoping this Aeon guide would help me make a summoner build or something, trying to avoid the melee main character + animal companion build that is like 90% of the builds I see because it feels so boring.
Monster Tactician + Spell Focus Conjuration + summoning based feats and mythic abilities. Gozreh for the Animal Domain and the trident weapon. You’ll have an a ton of summons, you’ll be thematically fitting (trident + shield, riding your pet). It’s very powerful. You get a ton of teamwork feats so you could go with the CMD based ones and ride your wolf to help him make the trip. Or the defensive based ones and ride a smilidon.
I'm still trying to come up with a powerful Summoner Build in Wrath, the main issue is the summons outside of limited OP ones like Spider Swarms, don't really seem to scale well with how stacked the enemy stats get past Chapter 2.
The recent changes have made this build even better, since Master Shapeshifter now procs off of animal aspect you can pick it up at mythic 5 or 7 and gain an additional untyped +4 to str, dex and con which is a fantastic additional boost since there's no reason that you can't have animal aspect up permanently.
Nice Guide, i was waiting to see your take on the aeon. It was an unexplored mytic path for me so this guide is gonna be useful. Should we expect more builds for this mytic path in the near future? 🤔🤔
There could be, such as Inquisitor. It's just that usually I'd prefer Trickster for most melee builds that aren't full casters, but I'll see what I can do 😀
I find myself wanting to try aeon monk of some sort, flurry of blows with each blow dispelling is just too sexy. Punch the buffs right off the demons! Only problem is I don't know how best to build a monk at all. I've also heard that aeon is the only mythic path that can make a summoner playstyle viable. What would be the best chassis for that, beast tamer bard, monster tactician inquisitor, druid?
I'm planning on releasing a Monk Guide, same for a Summoner Guide 😀 While Aeon has an ability to support summons, I'm currently theorycrafting the Summoner Build which might go Angel or Lich because 24h summons is very fun!
Loving your videos! I've definitely been watching all of your content as to familiarize myself with the systems and class combinations. What are the odds you plan on doing a solo build? While not the most standard way of playing, it seems like it would have its own challenges that could be worth exploring!
Solo offers its own challenges and definitely requires a certain strategy to it overall. I'm thinking of releasing guides for Solo, but I first have to properly play an entire run doing it as to truly experience it myself!
Hey there :3 I've been watching your guides for a while now, and I just wanted to say they're amazingly helpful in my own runs :) I did have a question, if you didn't mind. Have you ever thought about doing one for alchemist - grenadier? It seems like a fun sub class to play around with imo
Thank you! I'm actually planning on making Grenadier Legend Build for the max Bomb damage possible. It's just that sadly, Bombs have little support in Wrath, even less gear for it than in Kingmaker.
@@cRPGBro yehhhhh, I've ran into that in my own playthroughs, but they tend to be good crowd control or debilation at least :3 but woo!! I'll keep my eyes out for it then!
I have a question, how do you keep track of what potions and scrolls you have? Like you just sell automatically the ones you know you won't use. Or do you just kind of ignore them completely
I missed the synergy with Kineticist, I suppose the thing is in the end one Deadly Earth often just ravages the entire enemy pack so friendly fire is not that big hah. But it sounds fun to spam Deadly/Wall while allies are free to do their stuff as well!
@@cRPGBro to be fair, unless you want to go some very specific demon feats, none of the mystic paths are super fitting. With Aeon you get a lot of useful spells and gazes to support the team that does not weaken your action economy.
Erm.. question! You have a lot of build guides, but not sure if I've found any for a character that I want to make. So I was thinking of some kind of Wizard Aeon anti-mage mage.... if that makese sense (taking features/traits that make me stronger in countering, or immune to magic, etc) but while being a powerful spellcaster myself in Arcane and Divine magic (which the Aeon seems to have a lot of the latter). Do you have a build guide for that? (Should I follow your DUAL CASTER guide and just swap the Lich type for Aeon with some changes that way?
Mostly because I had to fit Focus + Dazzling Display + Shatter Defenses on most of my builds now, for space. Shake it Off can still be fun, but eventually you get enough saves or immunity buffs, especially depending on Mythic Path. For the more annoying effects like Confusion you also have Unbreakable Heart.
@@cRPGBro I most certainly did! I'd been researching Aeon builds that help give an Aeon a special edge but most builds I've seen are more for roleplay purposes (like a banisher Aeon), and don't really go in-depth. Thanks for making amazing and in-depth builds!
Hi there and thank you! I used Arueshalae for my Angel Oracle run. I just prefer to go with Wenduag or Lann for ranged because they are far more customizable, coming at level 1. Sometimes I also don't use any ranged ally at all due to the higher synergy with Outflank + AoOs for melee.
Just now watched the video so I don't know if you mention this elsewhere, but one note regarding the Perfect Form: Based on the text of the spell, it works with the UNMODIFIED value - meaning it takes Seelah's Charisma as highest and sets everything else according to her Charisma, as her base Charisma 20 is higher than her base Strength 16 => I don't think it's bugged, seems to work as intended On a side note though, I'm actually not sure if "intended" wasn't meant to be that it normalizes only the base values for better consistency with the spell text and less ridiculous results, so in the case of Seelah in your video, having 16 Str and 20 Cha base, she'd get +4 Str (and of course +whatever needed to fill the gap between base value and 20 for all the other stats)
Hey this may be a really dumb question, but what are the requirements for it? I am 100% sure I found the prolog dragon coprse, but somehow it didnt unlock. Even with lawful netural Alignment
Current run for me is Core Last Azlanti Chaotic Evil Divine Hound Motherless Tiefling. In Act 2 atm. Taking it slowish atm, but will be heading Demon, as I have never gone that Mythic Path yet.
Do I understand right that for now if you have both outflank and seize the moment perks you wasted 1 perk point, because they dont work together? And what for do we have seize the moment in the game? Why you pick it for your Lann and Arushalae?
It was picked for Aru and Lann before because it was one of the ways of getting ranged characters to achieve AoOs, as they can't really "flank" the enemy to proc Outflank, I believe.
A side question, I have Lann as divine hunter, but it is always 2 judgement is used, is this normal (and because it is applied to the pet?) IT is very poor withouth the unlimited judgement, and I decided it is not needed because Judgement only needs 1 per rest for big bosses, but still annoying.
quick question about bane...it makes your attacks and spells dispell buffs, question is, how does it work with multi hit spells? Exemple: hellfire, it have 3 rays so does it try to make 3x dispell or just one? Magic missile can have 5 missiles so 5 dispells? Sirroco AoE dispell? How does it work with Greater dispell spell?
I don't know if you ever got this answered, so I'll answer it. It works with every hit, period. So yes, 5 magic missiles creates 5 separate dispel attempts, AOE spells attempt dispels on every target on every hit, and with greater dispels... it attempts to dispel multiple effects on every hit, but not every single effect (I think that one was patched) every hit. In other words, Aeon make enemy buffs go poof very fast, very efficiently. If it wasn't for the limited rounds you can use it, it would be absurdly broken... as it is, it can trivialize most boss fights if utilized properly.
I think Aeon is one of the most interesting paths as far as lore goes. Aeons are truely otherworldly and mysterious. Most recommend Inquisitor or Divine Hound Hunter. I was thinking about playing something like a Paladin/Scaled Fist/Oracle/Witch/Swordsaint/Dragon Disciple/Hell Knight/Demon Hunter though, so a more tanky melee warrior, but I'm not sure whether this is really viable.
Aeon is indeed very unique story and thematics wise, I think the most unique of them all. The second build you mention to me has... far too many dips, but that's just my opinion. I'm not a fan of delaying main abilities and spells from certain classes through dips.
@@cRPGBro The idea is maximizing AC and saves by getting charisma modifier once to saves and twice to AC. There is also the intelligence modifier to AC from sword saint and some AC and strength from dragon disciple. I already played a wizard gold dragon and an azata kineticist and wanted to try a melee character this time.
Saw you had a divine hound build for Lann, thought about doing a 3 monk 17 naked cleric(dont remember subclass name xD) build guide for him? Lets you go pure WIS for both your spells and your bow attacks. :)
I plan on releasing an updated Lann Guide for Enhanced, I'm wondering if I should keep Divine Hound or go for something differnet this time 😀 But ideally I prefer to leave the other Zen Archer levels to 17+, because if you get them early, you highly delay both Lann's Dog & also Judgement + Hunter Spells progression which I don't enjoy.
Is character creation broken in the Inevitable Excess DLC? I used it to test an Aeon mythic build and I couldn't use any Aeon Mythic spells because it said that I didn't have enough charisma.
Aeon mythic path is good late game until then is lacking. Also having that blue light over enemies is really irritating. I know demons are bad and they are clearly breaking rules of the universe. On the other hand I would really like to see build based on Bloodrager.
I found even the first Attack Gaze to be great due to the party wide nature. But it is true it's only when we can stack 2 Gazes at M6 that the power really goes skyhigh.
Nope, Cleave is something you only want to have on until you get a second attack/round (so level 8), or if you are already buffed with Haste you can also turn it off. It's mostly for double attacks early game until 8, and also because it's needed for Cleaving Finish which is a permanent free attack whenever you kill an enemy, regardless of Cleave being on or not!
I'm 3 months late, so you probably already have this answer, but... yes, it does. Your unarmed attacks are considered weapons for all spells, including the mythic ones.
Thanks, was looking for an Aeon guide for next playthrough. The story spoiler about Cam seemed unnecessary though if it's not avoidable like other paths.
Glad I could help! The Cam note is because I though it was important to explain what party members will 100% leave you depending on Mythic as that can change people's parties and such. To the day I still have people thinking Seelah or Sosiel will leave on Demon for example, when that is optional.
Hi cRPG BRO, great job!, but I noticed something, Judgment not working, they are not adding any of the buffs. Also, at lvl 6 It consumes 2 Judgment instead of 1. Have you encountered this bugs?
Judgments were working just fine for me during my whole Aeon run. But yep, sadly Gaze at M6 will consume 2 uses for 2 different ones, at least that stops mattering once it becomes infinite at M8!
@@cRPGBro thanks for the reply! I also noticed that Divine Hound pet teamwork feats, outside main char shared feats (i.e. Tandem Trip, Seize The Moment), are not working, and I already selected them. I'll just drop this gameplay, 8 hours lost, sad.
@@cRPGBro I will test some builds after I get the game because it is still hard for me to decide should my legend be 20 Two-Handed Fighter + 20 Demonslayer or maybe 20 Spawn Slayer + 20 Demonslayer with two scimitars or kukris. Or maybe even something like 20 Spawn Slayer for sneak attacks and rogue feats and bonus hit/damage vs big enemies or 20 Demon Slayer for Trip Dog and bonus damage vs demons + 20 Mutation Warrior for mutagen and weapon training and weapon mastery or normal Fighter for weapon training and weapon mastery and armor training. So many options for legend xD I want damage but I don't want to create a legend that will jsut do big overkill damage and nothing else.
Well, I first thought it would be underwhelming too but boy was I wrong! Attack + AoO Gaze alone is absurdly powerful. I don't think my characters ever got so much to +AB without limited/short buffs.
I tried an aeon scaled fist monk build (with the intention of switching to gold dragon for rp reasons) and it sucked. I dropped the run after reaching lvl 11 or 12. I didn’t want to have anything to do with aeon afterwards, but this build looks interesting and I might give aeon another shot. P.S. I tried out your azata bard build and it slaps so hard. Having a lot of fun with it. Thanks for that.
I haven't done it yet, but I plan on releasing an updated Crusade Relic Guide as to explain it properly. You need to get the Unholy Symbol of Rovagug item from a Crusade Battle (it's close to the middle right part of the map), then enchant it into the Axe through Crusade event tabs.
It was not working on the main character when I first tried it, but it seems the 20 October Patch fixed for MC: "Fixed the incorrect stacking for the Perfect Form ability;"
@@cRPGBro for example, add those points to dex for more attacks of opportunity with combat reflexes, and if you wanna still be good at persuasion, you can just choose the oblate acolite background
Seize the Moment and Outflank are 2 different teamwork feats mechanics that work separately in Pathfinder RPG and Pathfinder Kingmaker so they should also work here. Seize the Moment gives you AoO when your ally crits. Outflank gives your ally an AoO when you crit.
@@cRPGBro Strange. In Kingmaker it was working as intended and was a strong combo. But even if this will proc only once it would still mean 2 extra attacks each round with high crit weapons for everyone in the party. 1 AoO from Seize the Moment and 1 AoO from Outflank. I will test it soon after I get the game this weekend.
Interesting Build cRPG -a ranged / hunter / inquisitor type build is congruent to what Aeons are. Curious can a build for Aeons include include these martial ranged skills as well as a full spell caster similiar to your Angel / Oracle builds? This is a fascinating idea. I appreciate your suggestions. Bravo!
The strengths of a vanilla inquisitor really wants you to be in melee range. Some of their best spells and teamwork feats are melee only. By going range you’re only weakening the strength of the archetype. A few of the subclasses, however, are designed to pair nicely with ranged weapons.
They can, but ideally the true strengths of Aeon I think are much better suited to melee parties, mostly because of how powerful Attack + AoO gaze combo is.
That can be very powerful too! I have something similar for my Lann. I just prefer to delay monk levels to later as I hate delayed Judgment progression.
@@cRPGBro So mechanically Azata > Devil makes more sense as a transition, but story/characterwise I personally think Aeon > Devil is a smoother transition, as opposed to the former's dramatic leap between opposite corners of the alignment grid
I find the normal inquisitor to have too many problems with conflicting quick actions. Like Daniel mentioned, taking 3 fighting rounds to get fully buffed is not optimal. Judgments, Bane, and Resounding Blow etc. Cant all be activated in one round. I am not sure if the pen and paper is the same.
No much of debuf, by reducing the big dude you just giving him a big boost to AC in exchange of damage output, but on unfair they still making large amount of damage to clear your all party. So, not worth to take it.
@@leevothas No, if you read the description, it states that they keep only the negative effects, not the positive (except for reach, largely due to animation issues I expect).
@@notalefty999 So, it does not work in 2.0.2 version of game as it written in the description. Tried, and the Daren's dark side manifested to 78 AC monster of the usual 76 AC after the application of normal size.
@@leevothas Then its bugged (not that surprising). If so, then yes, you are correct, its naff. If enemies dont retain size penalties to hit and AC, there are clearly better gazes. This gaze wasnt even in the game when I played Aeon.
I recently started my Aeon playthrough and went with the ranger Demonslayer, as soon as you get out of the maze you have a pet, +4 dmg/atk vs demons favorite teran urban and you can do wacky things like STR based TWF sicne it ignores prereq and gets the feats for free. How do you think a Demonslayer would fare vs Divine Hound?
You could take the physical item echantment belt you may pass the requirment for TWF, but it's a kind on the edge of the cheat (or a bug). It's nothing wrong to go with the dex based meele Aeon.
@@leevothas No, no. Ranger lets you pick a weapon style, gives you all the feats related to it and they ignore the requirements, so my ranger has all the TWF feats without any dex.
@@Vertanius Yes, I know about rangers and their ability to ignore the requirements for fighting style feats, but I do have CHA based Oracle with fully developed TWF feat of line. The second highest stat is STR 😁. Sounds like a cheat, but game allows at a moment to use belts to qualify for TWF.
Pretty sure the Demonslayer ranger would be better than the Divine Hound in every way as long as you have a party member that also gives sacred buffs (since they do not stack). You get more BAB and better feats and more damage. Basically - the hunter gets more support spells while the ranger gets more damage. So it’s all about party composition ultimately.
@@quincymims2580 Had played Divine Hound and damage was never an issue, especially if you take couple levels in Sohei. With a party setup like Bro suggesting every time it's not an issue to crit for 700-800 damage, and open attack of opportunities for your pet. Making charge while ride your pet it could end in 1.2-1.5k damage, enough damage for a single hit clear any demon lord on unfair. So, it's more about what you like more.
Am, and the cast of Storm of Justice (Negative eruption), no spell resistance, no save, no cap, iresistable damge is not the rather large? Angels also have stacking divine damaage for every source of damage. Lich has vampiric blade...
@@leevothas What I mean is when the damage appears as a separate number from the main attack. So with 4 stacks of geniekind and firebrand, you wouldnt get 6d6, but rather 36d6 PER SWING. That is potentially devastatingly powerful. It might have been fixed, but I remember playing an Aeon several patches ago, and Aeon's bane damage was getting a lot of duplication. The mythic spells you mention firstly do not do this kind of single target damage, and secondly, are working as intended.
Mine is a cavalier sword and board tank, dipping into hunter for 3 levels to share teamwork feats w/mount, blood rider for an extra 10 speed on mount, sohei for an extra free mounted combat feat, and I don't know what else yet. Can dip all you want into classes with animal companions w/out the need to ever take boon companion. At the cost of less progression in your main class though.
I could do it, but I think ultimately it would be very similar to the Divine Hound build. Except go with Warrior of the Linnorm Kings BG instead of free Axe prof. And use Longspears early game as Inquisitors don't have free Martial prof.
@@kman2384 The problem with the Inquisitor that taking the archetypes of the class it is taking something out of the class. And the cost to loose bane or judgment is too much. On top they do have overlapping spells... It's nice that the both banes is staking usages vise and damage vise, but... If you want to go with Inquisitor - take the class without archetype or take ones that do something to share with other team members as Tactical Leader. Of course if you you want to have the best of multiple worlds go with Divine Hound - animal companion, arcane spells, aeon divine spells...
@@Olkam-w5u Sure, but the extra domain won't give you a judgment or a bane you have lost after choosing an archetype. Studed target requires more micromanagement, but better bonuses than judgments, but I love judgment as it gives versatility as you could effect every aspect of the game... Increase AC, increase saves, increase damage, increase... you may have 3 aspects on at a time. And it works on all enemies you face in the game.
I would appreciate a spoiler warning if you are going to reveal later story elements in the game. I had no idea about Camelia. And if you have the characters story sections of their character sheets revealed, again, please put either a spoiler warning, or just a black box over it during editing. Thanks.
I'm currently doing a Aeon playthrough and the class synergy is interesting and im almost done with act 5. However i do have issues with the Aeon, some of which others have already stated like not being able to use gazes out of combat at any time and not giving us persistent gaze from the get go. Thank goodness for mods. My main issues though are story related. Don't read below if you dont want to see mild spoilerish stuff. So the Aeon is going through the game constantly judging people right and left. In act 5 you pretty much send the entire town to be judged and it's like, are their no citizens that aren't guilty of something? What makes it worse is your going around throwing down the law like a god at judgment day but your letting your companions get away with all kinds of stuff. I mean yeah sure you could judge all your companions and kick them out and go solo but very few people want to do that. And Aerushale, you can judge her as being bad but if you put it off and help her she gets dreams and then suddenly shes redeemed and the glow that appears around sinners is gone???? How come no one else gets a chance to fix their mistakes I mean, no ones perfect. And isnt our favorite succubus going against the laws of the universe by trying to be something different then she is, shouldn't an Aeon go back in time and stop Desna from interfering?? Add to this when your in the abyss your supposed to learn as an Aeon that evil is the other side of the scale of judgment and isn't bad as long as law is being preserved. So why are you then going around and condemning every mortal in drezen for breathing, cant have good with out evil and vice versa right?? Also there are times when you go up to someone and say stuff like I can see you've broken the law confess!! Then you hear their story and they've pretty much already repented and made things right, yet you still see them as needing judgement for some stupid reason?? Then there is a time were you correct some people corruption in the scar who were practically the same as lann and the rest of the mongrels but you never do the same thing to correct what happened to the mongrels??? Too many stupid story issues like this. I also take issue with any story that abuses time travel. VERY VERY few stories that have ever used time travel in them have done it in a way where you can actually swallow it and suspend disbelief. Way too often stories use time travel as a mode of cheap half assed story writing. Like adding extra explosions to an action movie to make shallow thinking people give it more oh's and ah's. Time traveling and correcting, or rather invalidating, other peoples bad choices is the same as taking away peoples ability to choose for themselves. The "Now" is a culmination of all the choices made up to that "now" both good and bad. Going back and trying to change any of them makes making choices have less and less meaning, weight, and responsibility. Which is just wrong on a fundamental level. My last gripe is if your romancing a companion and you complete the romance after you've become a full Aeon and end up making love to them....which i did... somehow... After becoming a full Aeon your character model changes and you have kind of an incorporeal form where your face looks like a piece of the cosmos. So if your lover makes love to you how in the world are they doing it, its like they are bumping their fuzzy with outerspace or the universe???? If you kiss what does a constellation taste like?? In this situation they should of had some conversations that pertained to this thus invalidating the relationship, kind of like lich does.
As much as I love this game - it does have weaknesses in the writing scattered throughout. They are apparent and ridiculous. I wanted to rewrite a lot of the text for my 2nd play through but found it difficult to figure out.
To me, the only silly part of Aeon is... how extreme you can become later on. It's indeed crazy that you start judging random people at Act 5 for the most minor misdeeds like lying and such.
Well, the Aeon's cloak effect of the haste is working just fine, if your skald is raging. So, with high number of usage (at the end of the game) you could run whole dungeon until it would go away. Don't ask why.
@@cRPGBro I made one mistake not using Mythic Suppression, but it could be very helpful against fat enemies that could not resist it. As an example it could take away like 10AC, 15 attack bonus and like 600HP from Inevitable Darkness without a save. I guess it's suppress mythic part of the monster.
Demon Slayer is a very solid and powerful class overall, but I think Divine Hound is amazing as well for early game power and since I wanted to go with a Judgment class for Aeon to make use of Everlasting Judgment.
Not sure they are actually the strongest dispel, although they are up there. 1 guaranteed dispel per hit, and greater magic dispel is certainly very good, but double greater dispel (speed of light) with an angel's caster level might be more practical, particularly if you are struggling to hit the target in the first place (which is usually when you would need to dispel). I would certainly rather have an angel for dispelling than an Aeon against playful darkness for example. But the king of dispels is the lich, with the highest cast level, and corrupt magic, which I think unlike other dispels is still not capped for the number of effects. If you really want to strip a target's defences, corrupt magic is your best bet. Zero state being party unfriendly as a massive downside, and its still lower caster level than a lich. Yes, you can take selective magic, but as a spontaneous spell, you will also then need a metamagic quicken rod or its a full round action. Edit: I didnt realise that Aeon had mythic rank added to caster level of the dispel, nor that it was uncapped on the number of effects. That is very good, though I still think against one target, dark ritual buffing caster level and the potentially massive debuff of corrupt magic is better.
Corrupt Magic is definitely amazing for Lich, it's just how fun it is as an Aeon to dispel EVERYTHING on EVERY single hit basically for "free". Especially since we can easily get so many attacks/round. Quickened Selective Zero State can also help against some of the stacked Unfair mob packs in Inevitable Excess, as Corrupt is is single target only.
First time playing, trying to build a Ranger 2H Angel build but can't find any guides. (Not Demonslayer, just straight up Ranger I pick everything) already at level 9 but find myself missing everything constantly and spreading thin. When I do hit, it's massive and so is my Instrument of Freedom but outside of that it's painful to watch. (Also using default companion builds and they miss EVERYTHING but I dont feel cofident in building them myself or even what buffs to keep up at all times) Any quick tips?
Ranger Angel can be a hard combo at the start due to the lack of spell merge, as non merged Angels take a LONG time to get good spells for support. I recommend you check my How to Stack AB Guide here where I cover multiple ways of doing it, so your character and party won't miss as much: ruclips.net/video/omfTstdpBdw/видео.html
The Perfect Form Spell should also be working correctly on the Main Character now!
Here are the Patch Notes from 20 Oct Patch:
"Fixed the incorrect stacking for the Perfect Form ability;"
For me, when I first tested it, it was not working for MC, but should now!
Perfect Form can also be Extended with you have an outside source of Extend (either Universalist or a Magus).
Doesn’t affect the build on this video, but just a FYI.

Kineticist sounds like an interesting combo with Area Gaze indeed!
notification gang
It's worth noting that with a full caster and an item or two to increase caster level, the caster level gaze can push your casting up to over 25 by the end of the game, for 24 hour round per level buffs
It can be done with Aeon indeed, it's just sad that it only works during battle so you have to wait until battle to extend your buffs.
Yeah I agree - but the gazes in the endgame can be interesting.
Using gazes outside combat should be a feature. Right now it's really bad.
I would also have preferred a better Mythic Progression speed/spread, but that goes for basically everything that's not a merged Lich or Angel, sadly.
Doing a Tactical Leader 14 / Divine Hound 3 / Gendarme 3 for this one. Not sure why people make straight up AWFUL suggestions like "Judge" tbh, the class that loses bane from Inquisitor??? For an Aeon build??? Hello, what?
The timings is perfect, I'm actually running an Aeon Monk now. Chef's kiss overall.
Awesome!
Have not tried Aeon Monk yet but it can certainly be very fitting thematics wise.
Leeeets goooooo! The long awaited aeon guide! Thank you!
You're welcome, friend!
I simply find it to be overkill since outflank combos tend to delete anyone when you already have Ever Ready, but maybe I'm wrong, and I'd like to know what you think on the matter :)
As for the damage reduction gazes, it's kind of unfortunate that they nerfed how damage reduction works, since there probably could be a build where you could just take very little damage through stacking damage reduction along with the gazes, making this impenetrable wall of a character.
It's heeeeere! Let's goooo
Time to go all out with the Lord of Cosmic Balance!
Finally, the first of the Aeon posts, including an initial Aeon build. Awesome!
Only problem is now I will suffer again from wanting to start another build, instead of finishing the game.
Well, that's the fun part about the Pathfinder games!
The great replay value while trying out new mythics and builds 😀
The recent changes have made this build even better, since Master Shapeshifter now procs off of animal aspect you can pick it up at mythic 5 or 7 and gain an additional untyped +4 to str, dex and con which is a fantastic additional boost since there's no reason that you can't have animal aspect up permanently.
Nice Guide, i was waiting to see your take on the aeon. It was an unexplored mytic path for me so this guide is gonna be useful. Should we expect more builds for this mytic path in the near future? 🤔🤔
There could be, such as Inquisitor.
It's just that usually I'd prefer Trickster for most melee builds that aren't full casters, but I'll see what I can do 😀
For zero state, try to find a selectrive metamagic wand then dispel all your ennemies without friendly fire
I'm planning on releasing a Monk Guide, same for a Summoner Guide 😀
While Aeon has an ability to support summons, I'm currently theorycrafting the Summoner Build which might go Angel or Lich because 24h summons is very fun!
Maybe a stupid question, but does Grave Digger get upgraded over the game? I have it, but its only a +2.
Nope, that's what the Greater Magic Weapon buff is for!
@@cRPGBro Completely fair! I eagerly look forward to the possibility!
Is there a build for Aeon that can utilize that Black Hole spell efficiently? That spell sounds SUPER cool!
I think it is possible, but would require heavy DC stack since Aeon lacks the merged boost to spellcasting from Lich and Angel, so much lower CL too.

Hey there :3 I've been watching your guides for a while now, and I just wanted to say they're amazingly helpful in my own runs :) I did have a question, if you didn't mind. Have you ever thought about doing one for alchemist - grenadier? It seems like a fun sub class to play around with imo

It's just that sadly, Bombs have little support in Wrath, even less gear for it than in Kingmaker.

I have a question, how do you keep track of what potions and scrolls you have? Like you just sell automatically the ones you know you won't use. Or do you just kind of ignore them completely
I usually sell some of them like Inflict Wounds, otherwise the new inventory written search can really help you find the ones you want!
Aeon! I have been waiting for this
"Area of Effect are kinda garbadge over all" - my earth/fire kineticist aeon would like to have a word with you.
Great content as always. Looking forward to your other updated companion build guides.
Thanks, will do!

You're welcome, hope it helps you have fun with Aeon!
I wake up every day to check for this. Not true but not far from the truth.
Thankfully it's finally out now 😁
Erm..
Thank you for the guide! According to the inquisitor, there is a trick that he can take on a mythical "impossible domain".
Yeah, Inquisitors can get more Domains too, I just prefer to leave Cleric for that as I find them better suited for high WIS.
One last question; why did you give up on Shake It Off?
Mostly because I had to fit Focus + Dazzling Display + Shatter Defenses on most of my builds now, for space.
Shake it Off can still be fun, but eventually you get enough saves or immunity buffs, especially depending on Mythic Path.
For the more annoying effects like Confusion you also have Unbreakable Heart.
Subscribed like yesterday because of your orc shaman build and got another great video today!
Awesome! Thank you, and welcome aboard!
I'll resume more frequent daily videos now as the Aeon run + Guide took a long time to make.

@@cRPGBro I most certainly did! I'd been researching Aeon builds that help give an Aeon a special edge but most builds I've seen are more for roleplay purposes (like a banisher Aeon), and don't really go in-depth. Thanks for making amazing and in-depth builds!
Thank you for the guide as always! But please let us know why you don't ever take Arusheelae with you?
Hi there and thank you!
I used Arueshalae for my Angel Oracle run.
I just prefer to go with Wenduag or Lann for ranged because they are far more customizable, coming at level 1.
Sometimes I also don't use any ranged ally at all due to the higher synergy with Outflank + AoOs for melee.
@@cRPGBro AH, makes sense, forgot you don't use mods because if you do, her stats are insane!
Just now watched the video so I don't know if you mention this elsewhere, but one note regarding the Perfect Form:
Based on the text of the spell, it works with the UNMODIFIED value - meaning it takes Seelah's Charisma as highest and sets everything else according to her Charisma, as her base Charisma 20 is higher than her base Strength 16 => I don't think it's bugged, seems to work as intended
On a side note though, I'm actually not sure if "intended" wasn't meant to be that it normalizes only the base values for better consistency with the spell text and less ridiculous results, so in the case of Seelah in your video, having 16 Str and 20 Cha base, she'd get +4 Str (and of course +whatever needed to fill the gap between base value and 20 for all the other stats)
Hey this may be a really dumb question, but what are the requirements for it? I am 100% sure I found the prolog dragon coprse, but somehow it didnt unlock. Even with lawful netural Alignment
1. Get the Purple Stone Dagger from the Marketplace during Chapter 1 and
2. Use the Aeon option during the Wardstone event at the end of Chapter 1
Great vid! Quick question, how did you get the hood look on your character? Not the portrait.
A side question, I have Lann as divine hunter, but it is always 2 judgement is used, is this normal (and because it is applied to the pet?) IT is very poor withouth the unlimited judgement, and I decided it is not needed because Judgement only needs 1 per rest for big bosses, but still annoying.
The best way to overcome this is to get Everlasting Judment as early as your first Mythic Rank, as it gives you UNLIMITED Judment uses :)
quick question about bane...it makes your attacks and spells dispell buffs, question is, how does it work with multi hit spells?
I plan on releasing an updated Lann Guide for Enhanced, I'm wondering if I should keep Divine Hound or go for something differnet this time 😀
But ideally I prefer to leave the other Zen Archer levels to 17+, because if you get them early, you highly delay both Lann's Dog & also Judgement + Hunter Spells progression which I don't enjoy.
Is character creation broken in the Inevitable Excess DLC? I used it to test an Aeon mythic build and I couldn't use any Aeon Mythic spells because it said that I didn't have enough charisma.
It says that on the Spellbook Page, but you should still be able to cast them just fine in game wise.
@@cRPGBro Alright, thanks.
New player here, do you keep cleave on all the time? Isn't all the attacks per round wasted?
Nope, Cleave is something you only want to have on until you get a second attack/round (so level 8), or if you are already buffed with Haste you can also turn it off.
It's mostly for double attacks early game until 8, and also because it's needed for Cleaving Finish which is a permanent free attack whenever you kill an enemy, regardless of Cleave being on or not!
I am suprised you never covered sacred huntmaster.
This build is viable as a azata?
How does this compare to the Angel Mythic path power wise?
Can someone who has a aeon past mythic level 4 pls tell me if bane works with unarmed combat?
I'm 3 months late, so you probably already have this answer, but... yes, it does. Your unarmed attacks are considered weapons for all spells, including the mythic ones.
AEON BUILD ?! YEAHHH 🗣️
Let's goooooo!
It is good that Legend is incoming.
I wonder if this will be Human Raised Half-Orc 20 Two-Handed Fighter + 20 Demonslayer starting as Trickster ;)
Well, I think I'll definitely go for a 40 BAB combo, hard not to do it when it's the main appeal of Legend 😀
So many options for legend xD
I want damage but I don't want to create a legend that will jsut do big overkill damage and nothing else.
Foes Aeon's bane worked with unarmed?
What? But.. but peoples on the internets said aeon sucks. How can this be?
Well, I first thought it would be underwhelming too but boy was I wrong!
Attack + AoO Gaze alone is absurdly powerful.
I don't think my characters ever got so much to +AB without limited/short buffs.
why not 2 handed if every attack is dispel?
Oh, Excellent, I was just thinking I should create a character destined to become an Aeon. Thanks for the video bro 😀.
No problem 👍
I tried an aeon scaled fist monk build (with the intention of switching to gold dragon for rp reasons) and it sucked. I dropped the run after reaching lvl 11 or 12. I didn’t want to have anything to do with aeon afterwards, but this build looks interesting and I might give aeon another shot.
P.S. I tried out your azata bard build and it slaps so hard. Having a lot of fun with it. Thanks for that.
Happy to hear you are having fun with the Azata build!
Aeon is a bit of a late bloomer, but it can be really neat.
Is there a way to raise the Aeon caster level or is it based off spell book levels from your character?
It is based on your Mythic Rank, besides that you have to rely on gear like Robe of Seven Sins for +3 and Fiery Spell Weaver Staff for +1.
Hey CRPG Bro.
Did you ever make a video about where to get the grave singer great axe?
I cant seem to find it.
@@cRPGBro Thanks for the fine work
could you do a aeon monk guide in the future?
18:26 untrue. i used it on myself when that spell came out. unless it has been changed since then.
It was not working on the main character when I first tried it, but it seems the 20 October Patch fixed for MC:
"Fixed the incorrect stacking for the Perfect Form ability;"
@@cRPGBro was going to say. I loaded a save right after and checked
i like dumping charisma on non charisma build for more points to put aomewhere else
It can certainly be done!
@@cRPGBro for example, add those points to dex for more attacks of opportunity with combat reflexes, and if you wanna still be good at persuasion, you can just choose the oblate acolite background
Great build as always. Do you plan to continue with the updated companion builds?
That's the plan! Daeran is up next.
I thought it would work that way as well, but I have seem many people confirm it will only proc once per feat even if you have both in Wrath.
Hello, still waiting for the Swarm build))
Swarm path!
I plan on doing it too, but I think I will save the best for last, Legend is coming next 😀
IT IS TIME
Time to become the LAW!
The build i use is "archer monk 3 and inquisitor with pet 17"
That can be very powerful too!
I have something similar for my Lann.
I just prefer to delay monk levels to later as I hate delayed Judgment progression.
That is lann build.
What sort of build would you suggest for aeon going into devil?
I'm still thinking to be fair, as the Devil Mythic abilities seem better suited for Azata > Devil what with the CC focus.
@@cRPGBro So mechanically Azata > Devil makes more sense as a transition, but story/characterwise I personally think Aeon > Devil is a smoother transition, as opposed to the former's dramatic leap between opposite corners of the alignment grid
I've been waiting for this so long - Dhampir/Pharasma Inquisitor/Aeon.
A solid combo indeed!
@@quincymims2580 That's true. I prefer him for RP reason. Almost all archetypes don't have good RP connection to Aeon.
hello friend one day do you think you do a build for devil path?
I'm thinking of making one since it is very easy to go Aeon > Devil and I already have a save just for that from my recent Aeon run 😀
@@cRPGBro Thanks bro
I think normalise size is primarily about debuffing the enemies. If you can get the DC to land, many enemies have very substantial size bonuses.
@@notalefty999 They made positive change adding more choices of gazes and making DC scale with highest attribute.
How buggy bane? Does it still apply separately to every instance of damage? If so, the effect of 6d6 per hit could be rather large.
Super cool thanks
You're welcome!
Let’s Gooooooooooooo
Time for I AM THE LAW!!!
Are you gonna do a build for Inquisitor Aeon?
I could do it, but I think ultimately it would be very similar to the Divine Hound build.
Except go with Warrior of the Linnorm Kings BG instead of free Axe prof.
And use Longspears early game as Inquisitors don't have free Martial prof.
@@cRPGBro What about some other archetype like Sanctified Slayer or Faith Hunter?
@@kman2384 The problem with the Inquisitor that taking the archetypes of the class it is taking something out of the class. And the cost to loose bane or judgment is too much. On top they do have overlapping spells... It's nice that the both banes is staking usages vise and damage vise, but... If you want to go with Inquisitor - take the class without archetype or take ones that do something to share with other team members as Tactical Leader.
Of course if you you want to have the best of multiple worlds go with Divine Hound - animal companion, arcane spells, aeon divine spells...
@@leevothas According to the inquisitor, there is a trick that he can take on a mythical impossible domain.
Thanks.
Noted!
hello der friends
Hello hello!
Aeon Cloak really is... OP!
@@cRPGBro I made one mistake not using Mythic Suppression, but it could be very helpful against fat enemies that could not resist it. As an example it could take away like 10AC, 15 attack bonus and like 600HP from Inevitable Darkness without a save. I guess it's suppress mythic part of the monster.
do you think demon slayer would be more optimale for damage and ab ?
Demon Slayer is a very solid and powerful class overall, but I think Divine Hound is amazing as well for early game power and since I wanted to go with a Judgment class for Aeon to make use of Everlasting Judgment.
How would you build a Solo Aeon for both full caster and melee ?
That is very good, though I still think against one target, dark ritual buffing caster level and the potentially massive debuff of corrupt magic is better.
haven't played aeon yet, but don't they also have mythic supression which is pretty much "dispell all mythic levels the enemy possess" ?
