What a cool deal via Turkish. Always wanted to get to Turkey & this looks like a good, fast initial intro prior to planning the appropriate longer stay. Kinda surprised other National Carriers around the World don't offer something as such > Dubai would certainly be epic as well, especially being it's a transfer hub. Makes me want to hop on Turkish (from SFO) to Bangkok being there's no direct flights from California to BKK > sure it's a longer way to get there but may as well get a fast Guided stroll through Turkey before heading over to Thailand. & great timing on your part... Turkey just prior to Thanksgiving🙃....sorry...low hangin fruit... well....meat😜 Seriously.... thanks for the heads-up with this Program...good stuff 👍 > going to inquire about the possibility of staying 36-48 hrs so I could maybe do both...the walking & the day cruise > would be willing to pay for 1 if need be...or maybe they'll throw in the 2nd if I splurge & go biz...I'll tell'em Claire sent me 😉
I’ve been to Istanbul a total of 7 times till now. The only district of city which is missing in my Istanbul journey is “Adalar” so far. Hopefully I’m planning to visit there next time cause it’s absolutely beautiful and the access to “Adalar” is by ferry boat ⛴️ for your information.
Great to see beautifull people like you in beautiful city of Istanbul. Nex time i suggest you to spend more time to see real and best face of city that hided behind scenes
y cant u belive it its her life her ntime her , enjoyment, . becoz u irani from khoonistani,Istanbul Turkiye is teh world best ,& one & only uniqe city Europe & Asia,. not Gabbage city like new york, Washington, dear
Wow, i didn't expect meal to be free too. Turkish airlines went all in this one and total cost is around 30 dollars i would say. Economically i don't think it makes sense so no other airlines does it but it is a cute program adding emotional value for sure. We are a little bit emotional people and might act against logic lol.
Perfect Marketing strategy, it does not cost so much, it creates jobs, and in marketing terms, it definitely has a lot of value. Maybe it also helps decongesting the airport, since people will be more tolerant to long layovers during transfers.
6-24 hr layover is not enough for istanbul. Sunrise to sunset, you have probably 8 to 10 hours of time to see a couple of places. But kudos to turkish airlines for arranging such a deal - I didn't know. Where/what is the final destination? Btw the ancient silkroad and spice road ended in grand bazaar and spice bazaar. I feel like we didn't treat istanbul the way it deserves to be treated. It was the capital of two empires. It deserves to be the capital of the world :)
Very rude, ignorant title!!!! "Istanbul is it worth it?" Your air head, supposed attention grabbing title????!!! The last capital of Roman Empire, Eastern Roman Empire and Ottoman Empire! it was the center of the world once! The city that changed the whole age, meaning Middle ages to Renaissance period! It is the center of a country that gets 50 million tourists in a year! Your opinion has no merit!!!
Born and raised in Istanbul my grand grandparents were also from Istanbul (Dersaadet) 15 years ago I can say Istanbul is one of the most beautiful cities in the world including all of Europe but in the end today I won't spend tinker's damn in Istanbul. So please be careful and skip Istanbul if you do not want any trouble including trying to be scammed everywhere in the city.
I loved your video! Istanbul is beautiful!
Thank you! It really is!
I'm very impressed of Istanbul it looks so amazing! 😍I don't know if I want to visit there but it's truly incredible & thanks for sharing Clarie! ❤

heads up 3:56 says the layover must be between 6 -24 hours for free tour. But I hope you visit Turkey either way. take care
@mericusta1988 > perhaps 2 separate "layovers" are in the cards 😉
I liked the amazing photos and your narration during your lay over tour in istanbul.
I’m so glad! Thank you!!

@4:57 Did you run into a lot of stray casts in Istanbul? P.S. The “Coming Up” is a great addition to your video(s).

I totally agree! It’s a great way to promote tourism there.
@@ClaireHawkins Hey girl, when will you come to Istanbul again?

Hi Claire , Thanks for your efforts. By the way. Istanbul is not capital city. ( Ankara )

@@ClaireHawkins Why didn't you take a Bosphorus tour by ship?
@@ClaireHawkins Why didn't you go to Istanbul Archeology Museum?
@@ClaireHawkins Why didn't you go to Hagia Sophia?
They probably didn’t give you too much information so that you stay curios and come back again for a longer trip to Istanbul.
haha true! I think it worked!
@@ClaireHawkins Why didn't you go to Istanbul Archeology Museum?
the grand bazaar is the first mall of the world btw
How cool!
Where are the cats?

Turkiye is bigger than the City Istanbul :D
I definitely need to come back and explore more of the country!
Get an esim dear!
My phone is too old for esims! haha I need to upgrade 😊
considering the amount of flags it has to be a national holiday. maybe 29th of october? I didn't want the wievers to think we have a flag fetish :)
You guessed it!
You're thumbnail is misleading 😂
Türkiye İstanbul 🇹🇷👍🖐️ hiiiiiiiiii hello 😊
Hello hello!
You are so beautiful American Lady for me Dear Claire Istanbul is so beautiful city.🥰😍🤗❤🤍💙💯
I live in İstanbul for 50 years. This is not istanbul.. you shoukd come to Kadıköy..

😂😂

An average American can't even tell number of continents in the world. You expect too much from those dumbs.
