also in regards to your mic problem, ensure that r6 is using youre mic in the in-game settings if that’s and option, discord quit working for me because it was attempting to use my vr headset as input and output. it would also be good to double check your audio mixer if your using windows.
All i can think of to fix the issue with your microphone is default mic in windows or possible messy settings in that area, I assume you have already checked this but it is always worth bouncing ideas around
I had a similar problem with my microphone years ago. Discord would work and recording audio on my pc worked but siege didn’t. the only difference is while normally my mic wouldn’t work in game, very rarely when I tried to use it, instead my teammates would hear a woman saying “trial version” or something coming from my in game voice coms. I downloaded a free program I believe it allowed me to use my phone camera as a webcam on my pc or maybe as a microphone. I realized it was running in the background and it was the only third party program I could think of that could cause this. After I deleted it and restarted my pc my siege coms started working again. Maybe you have a third party program that doesn’t play well with siege like I did.
Before Ubisoft made it more difficult to climb on the shelf I found that you could simple run onto the top once you got onto the second shelf. But after the patch a few months ago its become an insurmountable task, or maybe not. I guess it's time to get the vault prompt line down like you suggested dmkesson.
I used to have mic problems with siege too. It appears The Xbox overlay can for some ungodly reason take control of your entire mic output ingame. Did you check if that is the case for you? It should appear if you press Windows + G and then chech the Audio settings for "Standard communication Input" (Thats what it should be called,).

Yes, all my drivers are up to date. I'm thinking this has something to do with the nvidia app. Nvidia pushed an update from geforce experience to nvidia app and this issue started at the same time. I feel like a classical era doctor trying to diagnose and treat cancer atp. I'm just a dude trying to understand the cosmos of audio issues.
@@skudfish could be a swing and a miss but maybe check your wifi NAT type. I had problems with overwatch voice chat and siege invites cos my NAT type was closed.

Have you verified game files or uninstalled and reinstalled the game to fix the mic problem?
