Absolute fire from Big Special last night in Bristol's Louisiana, still get a buzz from seeing a band on the cusp of greatness in a small venue.
Saw these guys last night supporting Sleaford Mods .

Just heard them described on the Steve Lamacq show, as a cross between Idles, LCD Soundsystem and The Streets! These guys are going places.

I feel it's very disrespectful to describe artists as a mix of other artists. That said, you also need a pinch of Sleaford Mods.
@@GoranZec sure it's reductive, but there's very little other way to describe how something sounds without doing exactly that. Even saying something is a certain genre is saying it sounds like other bands from that genre.

Probably the best tune of the year ruined slightly by a personal drama outside of my control back home whilst I was at one of their gigs recently. I'll tell everyone about it one day. This tune will always remind me of it now. Will be making me cry in a few years time once the drama is all but a distant memory..... xx

They've just come off stage at the National Stadium Dublin where they're supporting Sleaford Mods. Fantastic set! The energy, the enthusiasm. Great sound. The drums. The poetry!
