Sudbury Superstack

The Sudbury Superstack, also known as the Inco Superstack, was built in the early 70's and was for a time the world's tallest free-standing structure. Eventually surpassed by the CN Tower and the the Ekibastuz GRES-2 power station stack, it still remains the tallest chimney in the northern hemisphere.
It is no longer in service, and has already begun to be decommissioned.
