Always impressed by George Thorogood . His first album with the Destroyers is one of my absolute favorites ! Love Eddie Cochran as well…one of the very pioneers of electric guitar…All the players you feature here are a perfect little list.,
You had me hooked when you started with George. I've never seen him live, but have watched dozens of his live videos. A great thrill for him was when he bought on his daughter who was 13 I think at the time. She rocked and did Daddy proud. You mentioned Dave Edmunds when you talked about Brian.. Wow, Love Sculpture and Nick Lowe. He was a great musician. One of his greatest achievements was when he and his neighbour, George Harrison, arranged a celebration for Carl Perkins and his 50th anniversary in the business. Then they jammed with Carl. What a stage. George, Brian, Dave, Joanna Cash, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton. Carl had more than a few tears after playing Blue Suede Shoes with that group. Finishing the video with Scottie. Great video. Merci beaucoup.
Top notch video...thank you. I still hope to see George Thorogood some day. One of my fav's all time. Brian Setzer is amazing. I always wanted to see him live. My wonderful wife picked up tickets for his Christmas show some years ago as a graduation gift...simply wow for the show. A true all time classic. Scotty Moore...to break the mold, the mold must be first created... 'nuff said.
Great video and content as usual and I mean that in the highest complementary way. I’ve loved George Thorogood since the 70s and regret never having seen him. My stereo speakers always went to 11 when his songs came on! thank you again for a job well done!
Love Thorogood, always have and Rounder is who I look for because they give new artist a chance. In concert he still plays like a fresh faced kid. It's like you made this video for my 61yr old arse.
I normally don't comment on the videos I do enjoy them immensely. So sir I just wanted you to know that I really love this channel it's awesome to learn about the history of music. I viewed this video on Christmas Eve so Merry Christmas to everyone.
RD, I could listen to read the phone book. Your voice, style and content make your channel one of my favorites. Thanks again for your quality work, Boe
Dickie Betts said they had Thorogood on tour with them for a while and at night one time they went out and jammed after a concert. Dickie said he was surprised to find out that Thorogood could not jam. I'd seen him in concert and was surprised to hear that. But I guess maybe it meant he couldn't jam at Dickie's level.
Thank you for making this great doc and exposing the great music and artists. Well done script, timeline flow and editing. We have to keep this music going and have the younger crowd exposed and understand the reasons why this all stands out. Cheers. If any interest you can check out my deep docs.
A great one DOC!!! As with much music you've more than Right with Scotty More!! That was a fine Combo him and Elvis!! How many stories have that much Root in a little bit of every Style of music and as a Guitar player, you borrowed, Stole or just found sounds that sounded like the others 🤗 never seen a Lead or Rythem Guitarists i didn't watch their hands! But more so it's my Ear that gets me there or got me There 😁 loved it Doc and George Thorogood but never had much love of Brian, just enjoyed himself to much I guess 😂 Merry Christmas brother and My Music-In-Law 🤘🎸🤠🎄🎁🫂☃️
This is marvelous.. Thank you... Seasons greetings from a Geordie in 🇬🇷....(A little 'nod' to Rory Gallagher at some point - maybe ???? ) Thanks a lot, your work here is much appreciated... 👍🕊️
You're very welcome. Thanks you for watching!! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and....a nod to Rory just for you. ;-) ruclips.net/video/3nBmzeN2ky0/видео.html
@RiverDocs Hi there... Thank you SO much... I first saw Rory in 1969 (with Taste) and was 'hooked' for life.. Saw and met him many times... A brilliant musician and songwriter, incredible live performer and a true gentleman.. A beautiful soul ... Thanks again ... This doc is grand, and extremely moving .. Seasons greetings 👍🕊️
Sadly I saw Thorogood in 84 at a Chicago show and it was terrible. Just one of those things. I can't believe you did not say boogie woogie once. John Lee Hookers guitar boogie is everything, the total foundation of his thing.
Every time I saw him, first tour on, he was great....until he got the saxophone player, who thought that sax was a rythm instrument, instead of filler. You couldn't hear George's lead guitar solos because of the sax. That was the sixth, and last time, I saw him live. 😢 Oh, yeah, as a Detroiter, I'm with you on the John Lee Hooker influence!
One of the best shows I’ve ever seen was The Stray Cats! Their live show was all the rockin’ anyone could ever want!
I've seen both George Thorogood and Brian Setzer in concert. Great performers!
Yes they are! Thanks for watching!

Eddie cochran was so cool. Thanks for watching DPW!
Gear Jammer is one of My Favorite George Thorogood songs.
Always loved Gear Jammer
First song that came to mind👍🏻

I like George’s Ride on Josephine…! And who doesn’t like One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer?
Thanks for the video Doc!
Those are both great songs. Thank you for watching.
Sleepy Labeef does a rockabilly version of it and it absolutely burns. It came out in 1960 I believe.

😂👍😎 - nice sense humor. George Thorogood was a cool part of my teenage music and all my neighbors were enjoying my maxim volume😎. Cheers from 🇨🇭

Cool vid Doc...Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thanks Plant. Merry Christmas to you too!
Wow, roughly $5400 in 2024 dollars. I didn't have that much in any vehicle that I'd owned until 2004. That was a tool for a craftsman.
You said it.
Awesome video have a great day also happy holiday season ❤😊
Happy Holidays to you as well. Thanks for the kind words.

You're welcome.
If they make a movie about the Stray Cats, maybe Kiefer Sutherland can play Brian setzer. Lol
lol good one!
Brian setzer simply the best
Brian Setzer brought it back and about killed it with his rant at the festival 🙄
Geordie Walker took the ES 295 to another universe. Killing Joke was an incredibly unique band….
I was born in 69....too late imo
Chuck Barry was king
Poison Ivy was better
Bad to the bone was played on Married with children
