So basically first watch Zero. Then the series splits into 3 routes which are kinda like 3 different story lines. And you can pick any of these without having to worry about the rest. The watch order here doesn’t matter, just pick which story you want to follow. Route 1 Fate Stay following Saber Route 2 Unlimited blade works following Rin Route 3 Heavens feel following Sakura. From here it’s smooth brain time.
@@itrulyvibe8 yes. It's not 100% necessary but you should watch them in that order too. But if you're only gonna watch 1, unlimited blade works is the best one imo.

@DAVID I'm a little confused.. so all three are the same anime but with a different routes? so those threes are not a continuation right? but fate zero is a must watch because it's the prequel to all of the series?
I dont comment on videos, nor like them, but the fact that You just summarized my 1 hours research period on how to wrap my head around this thing, I'm glad, well done m8, I confirmed your story line with other sources and it seems to match up, hopefully I won't be disappointed with Fate, as AMV gave me a good impression

Lmao I was on a very legal site searching with the keyword “fate” expecting one or two results to pop up but I got a whole list so I decided to do my research again and luckily I found this video. Funny and helpful, thanks!
my favorite out of the main 3 stories is probably unlimited blade work series because they give more depth to the other servants, especially Archer. Plus the plot was just better in general with having caster acting as the main villain for a duration of the show alongside gilgamesh.
I agree UBW was my favorite too. If they would’ve kept that story I think it would’ve been so much better. The 3 movies were decent but would’ve been way better if they kept blade works story. *spoiler* like in the movies they didn’t even act like shirou was archer
each route , some character get high light, hf, it was rider , ilyia, sakura., ubw archer gil caster, fate route saber shirou.....it is mater of perspective, it is not suppose which route is more complete, in this case , all of them are flawed
Someday Ufotable will do a Fate route remake and we'll be able to say: "start with Fate SN fate route; it has a simple story with a lot of emotional depth, and gives a good introduction to the world of fate."

I highly recommend saving fate/zero until AFTER you finish the main 3 stay night routes. It is a prequel that assumes you have already know those stories and thus is light on the explanations of certain plot points. It spoils big reveals of the main series as well.

I've already watched the whole series and just watched this to see if he got it right, and he did, but god damn the way he pronounced everything, it hurts.
@ULTIMATE GOKU ubw and heavens feel introduce you to the main character, the game , the story, and the various bloodlines way more slowly and without spoiling much of Zero. Just think of the relationship of emiya and ilya , and sakura and tohasaka … zero immediately tells u everything while ubw keeps it a secret intentionally
So this is how I should watch it.. Fate Zero TV Unlimited Blade Works TV Heaven's Feel I Heaven's Feel II Heaven's Feel III Then I can watch anything..
This is how I watched it. In an ideal world you would watch all of the stay night installments and then Zero, but the way ufotable did things ensures confusion if you don't start with Zero. Just make sure you find a way to watch all three of the Heaven's Feel installments regardless of how you feel about UBW's conclusion.

@@Lazuley_ Damn, I started watching anime last year with Fate/Zero and then the other Fate series. Till this day, the entire Fate franchise is #2 in my top 10 animes. I wondered if it was because it was my first anime, but it seems even veteran anime watchers really love it

The DEEN version is good, it was the second thing I watched after Fate Zero and even if it was step back story wise and animation it was decent. Then I went to UBW etc etc to reach Apocrypha as the last one. You people disrespect the original Fate anime too much. It has a lot of flaws but it's by no means a bad show.
@@universalspaceexpeditioner8259 yeah its in no way "bad". But it is quite outdated. I got into anime by watching FSN 2006 by Deen and I loved it. But imagine how good it would be if they do a remake with today's animation + following the VN more accurately.
I recommend watching the original F/SN(2006) first. Being the first in the franchise, the show offers a more casual appoach to the Grail Wars. Starting with Fate/Zero spoils a big part of the 2006 version (probably the biggest plot twist in the series) that you are going to watch anyway(unless you skip straight to UBW). My personal order for the trilogy is: Fate/Stay night(2006) -> Fate/Zero -> Fate/Stay night UBW After those you can continue with Heaven's feel(Sakura's route) or whatever spin-off you would like to watch.
So, back in November I tried to come up with the correct order all by myself and today I decided to fact check that order. Surprisingly it ALL LINES UP. I am so proud of myself and I will start watchin' Fate now.
@@jharvhicsalazar7080 unfortunately, there is no fate hollow ataraxia anime adaptation, you can only read its visual novel which will take a shit ton of time (like legit, i saw a guy made 120 hours of lets play of fate hollow ataraxia on youtube). But if you have the time and energy to watch a guy play the vn for hundred of hours, then sure :). But thats hell you're walking into
its been a year but I am sad to inform you that fate zero is not the start its a prequal that assumes you have already seen all 3 routes of fate stay night so terrible start honestly
the reason people get confused is because there's 2 type of people that watch the Fate Series, we have the people that played the games and we have the people that didn't, so that's where the controversy of starting with Fate Zero or Starting with Stay Night comes from, both are right and neither are wrong, at the end of the day you can start on whichever, both introduces you to the series, in the Light Novels, Stay Night comes first than Fate Zero, but in Anime, Fate Zero comes first than Stay Night, so Starting with Stay Night it introduces you to the series and explains everything and the point of the series, and going to Fate Zero after Stay Night its kinda like a Flashback, because you're going back "Chronologically", but starting with Fate Zero it's like it throws you into this unknown world with barely any explanation whatsoever and then you go to Fate Stay Night where you can understand what happened on Fate Zero, its been a long time since i watched Fate so my view on it might be somewhat off and i never played the games or watched the visual novels and i still enjoyed it and love the series, but there will always be this contradiction, at the end of the day it doesn't matter in what order you watch it as long as you enjoy it, it's just a matter of perspectives.
Imo it’s best to do FSN> UBW> Zero > heavens feel movies. I like to watch prequels after but that’s just me, it doesn’t ruin the experience. All the other ones are different paths so doesn’t matter the order you watch them in, but it’s important to watch Zero before the heavens feel movies.
i disagree, sakura's role is hidden in all route of vn to be revealed in this movie, alongside rin, watching zero is just ruin it (alongside ilyia's role in all of this) , sure , i would also like to end the series with happy ending of hf, but it is better to go with right timing
THANKS i was like "bruh?" and then the "i was a boy in my past life"💀 i think he didn´t watched it and made a 10 minutes search in google just for this video lol
Question from a confused new fate fans here. What actually is saber's gender? If its male then why he got summoned with a woman body? Also if saber really is a male, then the kissing scene between him (her lol im confused) and shirou wouldn't make any sense.
@@scalarian1976 she’s not male, it’s stated and shown multiple times that she is female, it’s not confusing at all you’re just listening to the wrong people.
I've seen a lot of explainations of the watch order, and this one's the most understandable. I wanted to watch the Fate series for like a year but I didn't have the motivation, but now that I have *a lot* of days off and I know how to watch this absolute mess I'm gonna fuck up my sleep schedule ! Thanks man !
To me its start with Fate Stay Night, then Unlimited Blade Works, then Heaven's Feel and then Fate Zero. Starting with Fate Zero not only spoils a lot of things but also has a complete full on exposition at the start which shows how much it has expected you to have any prior knowledge of the Holy Grail War. It would be like in Star Wars where the whole plot twist of Darth Vader bring Luke's dad not having much impact if you start with the prequels when starting that series. With that finished, you can pretty much go to the next ones but starting with Fate Stay Night really helps as it is the centerpiece of many other shows due to some characters either having connections to the ones from FSN, being their original versions or appearing once again.
Also to add Fate/Grand Order: First Order Fate/Grand Order: Camelot movies Fate/Grand Order: Babylonia Fate/Grand Order: Solomon Fate/Grand Order: Moonlit lostroom
And I thought I was done by 1. playing the fate route on VN 2. playing the UBW route and it's 2 seasons 3. Watching all 3 movies of heavens field Rin - best girl Saber - best/relatable friend Sakura - who knows? does random things . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ...... . ..... . . . . . . . . . . . ...... .. .... Hopefully no one reads this .......... ......... ........ ....... ...... ..... .... ... .. . Emiya betraying the hero Emiya and doing reckless things for Sakura was really hard to watch in HF. UBW has the best ending and romance. Fate is just a dumpster of explanations. Playing UBW before watching anime was a mistake, season 1 is entirely similar whereas season 2 was a new experience (that scene with berserker and Illya was really touching) Alter Saber vs Berserker is one of the best fight scene I've ever seen.

i disagree with starting with fate/zero, it's a prequel made to be watched AFTER the other routes because it spoils a lot of UBW and heavens feel, same for 2006 adaptation, in my opinion you should watch 2006 and zero after heavens feel and ubw
Tbh starting with Fate Zero would really help explain every fvckin thing in the 3 adapted routes (we already know how the anime cuts a lot of themes and content), like it somewhats explains Shirou's survivors guilt, Kiritsugu's influence over him, also explains some things about Sakura in the Heaven's Feel movies. Also gives us more understanding of Gil and Kirei's philosophy So either way starting with Zero or not really doesn't matter
@AL17 AMVs "it explains it better and it makes more sense" that's it, that's the reason why Zero spoils so much of all three routes Fate/SN but mostly Heavens feel, your literally not supposed to know half the shit that Zero tells you. Zero tells you about Angra Mainyu, Zoken, Sakura and her relationship with Rin, what goes on in the Matou Household, Kirei's motivation, Kirei and Kiristugu's relationship with the Holy Grail War, illya and Kiritsugu, Gilgamesh and also Saber being summoned to Kiritsugu/Shirou. Some of these spoilers are super major to all the routes like Angra Mainyu and the grail being cursed (I'd argue that it is) or some spoiling specific routes like the Rin and Sakura relationship spoiling Heavens Feel. Because all of this information it leads to some of the most important plot twists being literally useless because it was already known.
nah start off with the fate route VN, if ur not into games, watch some walkthroughs on youtube and then watch UBW and then HF and prolly a few of those youtube clips that go like "shirou vs kirei but improved" "rin giving magic to shirou but improved" etc to understand the canonical fate without wasting too much time watching all of the VN or u could just watch the VN and anime and then Zero and then Hollow Ataraxia etc

Two MASSIVE points this video didn't bring up. Fate/Stay Night (2006) can honestly be skipped without much being lost. Same applies to Fate/Extra: Last Encore because its a sequal to the first game titled Fate/Extra, so its basically no worth watching unless you've played the game (and even then, according to people who have played it, still think its bad).

@@thelam763 UBW is like...the worst way to start the series. You don't get insight on half the characters, Rider is throwaway, Gilgamesh is introduced in a way that you're like "Who the fuck is that? Why did he suddenly appear? Did he have an intro already or am I missing something?" Archer is a character you won't even care about because you've never seen him before. At this point, it's better to start with Zero. DEEN is best to start because it gives you a perfect and smooth entrance into the series, it follows the Saber Route quite good, every character that requires time is given time. AND GILGAMESH HAS A PROPER INTRO. You're given insight on the fourth grail war, then you jump into well, THE FOURTH GRAIL WAR. After finally knowing everything about what the grail is and having Gilgamesh and Saber fleshed out to an even bigger extent, you jump into UBW and HF with a new perspective. 0 spoilers, 0 plot holes, 0 anything. *Because it's the damn release order.*
@@GaranNoDou298 I'm guessing you're anime-only. Deen's adaptation is the worse there is and butchered not only the characters but also the whole story. Archer is the main servant of UBW from start to end, how would you not care about him? Gilgamesh coming midway and Medusa dying early is how it should be in the UBW route. Zero is not even an obligation to watch as it came out long after Stay Night as a prequel and prequels are not meant to be watched after what it is a prequel to, worst is that it spoils parts of UBW and most of HF. Zero goes by principle that you already watched Stay Night beforehand. Without a proper adaptation of the first route, the second one is the best start for getting into the Fate series.

Only the first, sixth and seventh singularity have been animated and the final battle is coming soon so I’d say fate grand order moonlight lost room, then the two Camelot movies, then Babylon, then the final which is being made. Apocrypha and final encore are things you can watch on the side that don’t follow any extended anime timeline.
To summarise, just watch Fate Zero -> Fate stay night series (doesnt matter which one to start, they're basically just the same movie with different ending) and thats it. I tried to make the watch order as simple as possible for beginner. Screw those "perfect watch order", you came here to enjoy some good quality anime, you dont need an engineer degree to understand this series, just do what you want, it doesnt matter, u'll enjoy it because they will re explain the plot in every series you watch.
if you want to enjoy the 2006 version (Fate route), I recommend watching it as the first one. If you watch Fate/zero first, you will be disappointed when watching Fate/stay night. The animation in stay night is worse, you'll get used to Fate/zero animation and then you won't enjoy Fate/stay night. But if you switch the order, the Fate/stay night animation won't look as bad. So for me, the correct order is: Fate/stay night, Unlimited blades work, Heaven's feel, Zero, and then continue just like the video says. Not to mention zero is a prequel. The creators expect you to know everything about the holy grail wars already, so it can be a little confusing to watch zero as the first one.
You don't really expect every single person to watch Zero first to be disappointed simply because of its animation right? You stated it with such confidence and it just makes my ass itchy, even though and hopefully that it is just your opinion.

While I agree that this watch order is Valid, it’s not really the one for me. In my point of view, watching Zero before Stay Night is like watching The Godfather Part 2 before Part 1, it’s a prequel you watch after gaining all the information necessary from Fate/Stay Night.
@@pulsar. if we were in a perfect world where we have good anime for each Route, the watch order would be: Fate(Saber Route), Unlimited Blade Works(Rin Tohsaka Route), Heaven’s Feel(Sakura Matou Route) then Fate/Zero. The biggest problem Fate/Stay Night had for a while now has been release order. DEEN/Stay Night was niche, almost no one had heard of it at the time and it’s usually seen as a bad adaptation(The same can be said for DEEN’s 2010 UBW movie). The first mainstream Fate anime to be released was Fate/Zero, so that was a lot of people’s starting off points, it’s why there’s a lot of debates in the first place, Zero was the first UFOtable adaptation and the first one most casual fans saw. UFOtable then did their 2014 adaptation of UBW, with a lot of fans coming to that one right off of Zero with a lot of people initially seeing it as a “sequel” to Zero, looking for left over plot lines from Zero, despite some of them not even being answered in UBW. It’s at this point where most of the casual fans start to catch on that Fate/Stay Night is actually split in 3 parts (Fate/UBW/HF). It’s here where the Watch order debates reach their stride and continue even while the HF trilogy was being made. Since the only adaptations we had were DEEN/Stay night (the one people tend to say skip), Fate/Zero (the one most people started on) and Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works (the middle child of the 3 routes), there wasn’t really a good watch order; Zero heavily spoiled Stay Night(specifically HF which didn’t even have an adaptation yet), DEEN terribly characterised Shirou Emiya(making people hate him) and since UBW is the 2nd Route, most of the deep understanding of Shirou’s character is missed. Even with the release of the HF trilogy, the order is still debated as most Stay Night fans at this point already know the big twists in HF. This is why I said that the video’s watch order is viable. For the objectively correct order it would be: DEEN/Stay Night(meh), UFOtable’s Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, UFOtable’s Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel 1, 2 & 3 and finally Fate/Zero. @@connormccarthy6741 ahah I read the first comment before seeing this But thanks I think I understand. Just to confirm 1 thing, what do u mean by DEEN? Is it the 2006 version?
@@TrainHardnett It's a kindoff prequel but ultimately no since Nasu pretty much confirms its an alternative timeline which is why I call it a spinoff since it isn't the exact 4th HGW that happened in the FSN VN and you can pretty much see that on how bad it got the character of Saber. In the end it's basically a spinoff prequel.
this is the reason that people can't get into this anime just like me , the anime has the most confusing community ever each fan has his own fucking order to watch the show and one guy says my order is the good one and the other guy says the same its fucking aids.
@@paxttt I will be honest with u, a lot of the comunity is very VERY tiresome, but there is also a lot of chill people. Even though I don't agree a 100% of this watching order I believe it to be very valid, (the first fate series anime that I watched was zero, and even thou it was not "suppose" to be watched first I think its the best start point to get interested in the fate series as it is a masterpiece in my humble opinion). If u want to really know what is the "supposed" way of watching (I don't believe there is a wrong way to do so) u should start with the visual novels or the adaptations Fate/UBW -> Fate/HF and them do as u will, the games have a sequel not adapted Fate/Hallow Ataraxia. Them there is the prequel Fate/Zero that is not 100% accurate(for some minor inconsistencies but most of it is accurate see the first comment thread to know more if interested [Spoilers thou] www.reddit.com/r/fatestaynight/comments/7rlz4v/why_is_fatezero_not_canon_to_fatestay_night/).
@@Grimmvamps coming back to this comment a much wiser man when it comes to fate, I’ve watched almost all the anime’s and played a lot of fgo, essentially we only need to worry abt the main series atm then once ur done u can watch the others whenever u want I personally recommend watching fate stay night unlimited blade works before fate zero because it is a better starting point (a bit less confusing in my opinion) and then watch fate stay night heavens feel, and THEN watch zero, heavens feel is 3 movies and basically starts like blade works but ends up being much darker (focusing in on Sakura and not rin) The main thing to understand is that blade works, heavens feel and the shitty 2006 one are essentially different “routes” or alternate versions of the “stay night” story, so zero acts as the prequel to all of them Don’t watch the 2006 stay night, unless you finish everything and decide u want to, but it’s bad so don’t bother After you finish blade works zero and heavens feel (don’t necessarily HAVE to watch heavens feel but zero spoils parts of it anyway) you can really watch any of the other ones (apocrypha, carnival phantasm, grand carnival, etc) as they don’t have chronological order going with the main series (well they TECHNICALLY do because they’re on the big scary timeline but you don’t need to worry abt them, you can understand them standalone) Bare in mind that fate extra is a continuation of the fate Extella video games and fate grand order ones are animations of parts of the mobile games story (not in order or even starting from the start 💀) Anyway hope that helped, I know this is a paragraph and a half but it’s sort of hard to explain in a comment 💀
Fun fact: Lord El-Melloi II Case Files is the true prequel of Fate/stay night, unlike Fate/Zero which is officially stated as an alternate 4th HGW spin-off
Nah fate/zero for 5 years was made just as the prequel to fate/stay night until nasu got angry when the anime elevated it and alot of people start calling it better than stay night that he turned it into a spin off Imagine if hollow ataraxia was made by another author and people enjoyed it more than nasu's fate/stay night then he comes and makes it non cannon spin off just because it was more highly acclaimed that's just dumb
@@mohamedelhediissa289 whatever you trying to deny, the fact that Nasu confirms that Fate Zero sets at the same world as stay night but subtly different can't change. Too many shits that Urobuchi changed to whatever he wants, and this is worsened by instead of revised it Nasu just pulling the "alternate timeline" card. If it has the same case with Zero why is he confirms that Lord El Melloi II Case Files set at completely the same world as stay night then? Is it because the fans like it? No. It's because the author stays faithful to the original source material (FSN) unlike Urobuchi

@@sleepylmguy9968 the only inconsistencies are with the fate route the one adapted back in 2006 In it kiritsugu fought alone without iri Saber didn't know gilgamesh and more stuff Probably the reason why ufotable just skipped it and went with ubw and hf right after zero Hopefully if they ever adapt it they change stuff to make it work with fate/zero Nasu used that as an excuse to make fate/zero non cannon even though it is the fate work with the most supervision from him so if there was anything that didn't line up well he could've not allowed it to pass So in the end only visual novel elitists have problems with it For normal visual novel readers and normal anime viewers there is no problem Never seen a fandom try so hard to make one of their show's best works not cannon just because they are elitists

Babylonia for me just because it looks so gd good lol
For me The Stay/Night cuz I want to ship Shirou and Saber LoL
I agree UBW was my favorite too. If they would’ve kept that story I think it would’ve been so much better. The 3 movies were decent but would’ve been way better if they kept blade works story. *spoiler* like in the movies they didn’t even act like shirou was archer

The DEEN version is good, it was the second thing I watched after Fate Zero and even if it was step back story wise and animation it was decent.
My personal order for the trilogy is:
Fate/Stay night(2006) -> Fate/Zero -> Fate/Stay night UBW
After those you can continue with Heaven's feel(Sakura's route) or whatever spin-off you would like to watch.

the reason people get confused is because there's 2 type of people that watch the Fate Series, we have the people that played the games and we have the people that didn't, so that's where the controversy of starting with Fate Zero or Starting with Stay Night comes from, both are right and neither are wrong, at the end of the day you can start on whichever, both introduces you to the series, in the Light Novels, Stay Night comes first than Fate Zero, but in Anime, Fate Zero comes first than Stay Night, so Starting with Stay Night it introduces you to the series and explains everything and the point of the series, and going to Fate Zero after Stay Night its kinda like a Flashback, because you're going back "Chronologically", but starting with Fate Zero it's like it throws you into this unknown world with barely any explanation whatsoever and then you go to Fate Stay Night where you can understand what happened on Fate Zero, its been a long time since i watched Fate so my view on it might be somewhat off and i never played the games or watched the visual novels and i still enjoyed it and love the series, but there will always be this contradiction, at the end of the day it doesn't matter in what order you watch it as long as you enjoy it, it's just a matter of perspectives.

@@shubop1331video order

Also gives us more understanding of Gil and Kirei's philosophy
So either way starting with Zero or not really doesn't matter
@AL17 AMVs
"it explains it better and it makes more sense" that's it, that's the reason why Zero spoils so much of all three routes Fate/SN but mostly Heavens feel, your literally not supposed to know half the shit that Zero tells you.
Because all of this information it leads to some of the most important plot twists being literally useless because it was already known.

start off with the fate route VN,
if ur not into games, watch some walkthroughs on youtube

Two MASSIVE points this video didn't bring up. Fate/Stay Night (2006) can honestly be skipped without much being lost. Same applies to Fate/Extra: Last Encore because its a sequal to the first game titled Fate/Extra, so its basically no worth watching unless you've played the game (and even then, according to people who have played it, still think its bad).
Last Encore isn't bad, but it most definitely is confusing af

It’s so easy to tell that guy hasn’t watched or really didn’t understand the series after saying to watch Zero first, Saber being a reincarnation and saying Apocrypha wrong. Plus a lot of other details in his way to describe things.
Yeah... Deen > Zero > UBW > Heaven's Feel has the most structural integrity out of all the possible list. In other words, WATCH IT IN THE ORDER IT CAME OUT. The video is pretty weak from the very start...
@@GaranNoDou298 UBW > HF > Zero is the correct order to follow like the original Visual Novel and prequels are meant to be seen after the main work
Deen's should be skipped
Then again if one wants to know about every characters and details, they can't by just the animes. Reading the VN is the only solution really.
I havent really finished the entire Nasuverse (the FATE verse is inside of it) but i will say this is overly wrong (unless u can play all the games)
Order for the Nasuverse / Type-Moon verse / FATE series
Tsukihime; The anime is not really bad BUT its poorly adaptated from the game to the anime
Melty Blood; MANGA Adaptation from the game "Melty Blood" its the tsukihime sequel
Kara no kyoukai; Not really necessary but helps (watch chronologicaly trust me its REALLY confusing if u dont)
Fate/SN 2006; The Saber route, its not bad but like Tsukihime its poorly adaptated, this is the 1st SN route
Fate/Zero; The prequel to Fate/SN explains a lot
Fate/SN Unlimited Blade Works; The Tohsaka route, this is the 2nd SN route (Movie)
Fate/SN UBW; The Tohsaka route but better adaptated and in 2 seasons instead of 1 movie
Fate/SN [Heaven´s Feel]; The Sakura route, this is the 3rd SN route
Lord-El-Melloi-II; Extra centered on Waver Velvet, explains magic and the Mystic eyes (happens betweeen Zero and Stay Night)
Fate/Apocrypha; Extra centered around a different type of Holy Grail War, explains war magic and the homunculi (Alternate from the SN)
Fate/Extra Last Encore; Extra centered around a "Future" with technology centered around magic (Alternate from SN or in future)
Fate/Grand Order; Extra centered around a not so distant future but way different from Last Encore (Alternate from SN or in future) [Watch chronologicaly, just like Kara no Kyoukai its confusing]
Fate/Prototype; Extra that shows an "raw" idea of what Nasu (autor of all this) was going to make of Fate/Saty Night (Raw SN)
Carnival Phantasm; Extra centered around Tsukihime, Melty Blood and Fate/SN with some references (Comical extra)
Grand Carnival; Extra centered around making comical the first parts of Fate Grand Order (That are not animated) [Comical extra]
Fate/Strange Fake; Like Apocrypha its centered around a different type of Holy Grail War (its Obviously different from apocrypha) [Alternate from SN or in the future]
Fate/ Kaleid Liner Prysma Illya; extra centered around Illyasviel Von Einzbern (i havent watched it but it contains characters from Melty Blood/Tsukihime and Fate) [Alternate from SN]

Then watch any of the others they’re more of alternate universes only thing you’d have to watch in order cause they have multiple series is the grand order time line since it follows the game.
There Are Too Many Sabers 😂😆
if you want to enjoy the 2006 version (Fate route), I recommend watching it as the first one.

So what's the right watch order
@@pulsar. if we were in a perfect world where we have good anime for each Route, the watch order would be: Fate(Saber Route), Unlimited Blade Works(Rin Tohsaka Route), Heaven’s Feel(Sakura Matou Route) then Fate/Zero.
For the objectively correct order it would be:
DEEN/Stay Night(meh), UFOtable’s Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, UFOtable’s Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel 1, 2 & 3 and finally Fate/Zero.
You can still watch the version in the video if you want to if you do not care about spoilers for plot twists

@@vincentvonmod4235 its a prequel, written as such, it expects you to have read the original 3 routes and Hallow Ataraxia.

I personally recommend watching fate stay night unlimited blade works before fate zero because it is a better starting point (a bit less confusing in my opinion) and then watch fate stay night heavens feel, and THEN watch zero, heavens feel is 3 movies and basically starts like blade works but ends up being much darker (focusing in on Sakura and not rin)
The main thing to understand is that blade works, heavens feel and the shitty 2006 one are essentially different “routes” or alternate versions of the “stay night” story, so zero acts as the prequel to all of them
Don’t watch the 2006 stay night, unless you finish everything and decide u want to, but it’s bad so don’t bother
After you finish blade works zero and heavens feel (don’t necessarily HAVE to watch heavens feel but zero spoils parts of it anyway) you can really watch any of the other ones (apocrypha, carnival phantasm, grand carnival, etc) as they don’t have chronological order going with the main series (well they TECHNICALLY do because they’re on the big scary timeline but you don’t need to worry abt them, you can understand them standalone)
Bare in mind that fate extra is a continuation of the fate Extella video games and fate grand order ones are animations of parts of the mobile games story (not in order or even starting from the start 💀)
Anyway hope that helped, I know this is a paragraph and a half but it’s sort of hard to explain in a comment 💀

Nah
fate/zero for 5 years was made just as the prequel to fate/stay night until nasu got angry when the anime elevated it and alot of people start calling it better than stay night that he turned it into a spin off

@@sleepylmguy9968 the only inconsistencies are with the fate route the one adapted back in 2006
In it kiritsugu fought alone without iri
Saber didn't know gilgamesh and more stuff

Hopefully if they ever adapt it they change stuff to make it work with fate/zero
Nasu used that as an excuse to make fate/zero non cannon even though it is the fate work with the most supervision from him so if there was anything that didn't line up well he could've not allowed it to pass

Ah, if only OTHER certain youtubers or fans of the franchise in general would try to simplify this as you did and give it straightforward & to the point. Some will either be obnoxious as fck to the point where it makes many want to stay the heck away from the franchise entirely and others will mock those the fandom in it's entirety.
Imma bookmark this, well done 👍👍👍
