I love this program! I started my son on level 1 at the beginning of his grade 3 year after pulling him out of the school system. He barely knew his letter sounds at that point. We are now halfway through level 2. My son has come such a long way since starting the program. It works!

It totally does! And it builds in such a simple systematic way that it's easy for parents too!

We also love AAR and highly recommend it! Really like the use of the letter tiles, especially now that we are in level 2 where we are learning how to divide words into syllables so we can sound them out easier. Tip I found..... Before starting the program, take the activity book and prep all the activities and put them in a binder (2-3 inch) using clear page protectors. Takes a few evenings, but makes it even more open and go, saving you time. And then, you can save all the activities and reuse them with younger siblings, saving you a bit of money by not having to rebuy the activity booklet.

That's a great tip! A little prep now and some extra sanity later.

We love AAR! I was hesitant at first because it seemed like so many moving parts, but it has been working SO well for us. I highly recommend it as well. Oh and just wanted to add that there are actually 4 levels of AAR + the pre-reading level :)

Also, for those who love the format of AAR and AAS for language arts, Math With Confidence is an amazing math curriculum that is taught in a similar style.

I’m in Australia would this be worth the shipping? Or is there pdf options?

There is no PDF option that I'm aware of because there are so many pieces and parts. You could look and see if there is something similar in Australia. But if you have a struggling reader, then it might be worth it.
