This time with an in depth preview for the new owl clan,
which has been released with the winter update a few days ago.
The clan has some insanely unique mechanics and is very
fun to play.

Something to note is the possibility for team play with some of the branches. A few like parasitic vegetables, creeping vines and invasive fruits you talked about their effects when placed on an enemy tile. But i feel like its worth mentioning if you placed them on an ally tile. Bonus 15% attack power every time you fight along side your buddy could be strong. "Steal" your allies knowledge and give them a bonus 15% of your wisdom production. Admittedly the gain resource based on stockpile doesnt seem very strong on your allies but, it does reduce working units consumption by 33% in the tile. Imagine using that on a rat clan who has lots of units in a single tile.
Im not saying this is the way to use them or if its practical strategy in ranked games, but i feel like its something to consider
Yeah the possibilities are pretty big there and it remains to be seen how strong these effects will be (presumeably VERY strong)

Yeah it super fun :P I guess even if it gets nerfed a little, it should still be a pretty versitile clan.
Ive had a go with them now. Invasive Fruits is such a weird lore to copy one unique tech. There are a few clans where it is useless. Copying lynx gives you a hunter bonus which clan does not use. Bear similar with fishing.Both kingdoms cannot be copied. Stockpiling gives nothing for the lumber half of the technology.
On the plus side you can make some really broken combos. Steal double relics from horse to get molnir , clear the Invasive fruits territory,sell the root then choose another clan to copy. Steal Osmosis to get a huge happiness bonus for every Forest and fish Owl contols. Place a Silo in every forest then steal Stag's lore to generate food (Double strength with overcrowding.)

I actually really like the owl clan.
It was first clan I tried extreme conquest and I finished it.
I would say it is for sure a 3 star difficulty to learn and actually use properly as it is very different from every other clan.
I love this game tho.
Have finished conquest with all 18 clans now and have started extreme mode for them
Have also finished campaign and all bonus objectives in extreme mode
Im getting close to 100% achievements done, there is lot lol, like 250-ish and it has taken a long time but it has been a fun journey
In so glad too the devs are working on improving pvpbc it really kinda sucks.
It's nothing but a rush to get a small military and rush your opponent. Does not allow the game to be pmed properly and gets very boring having to do same thing over and over.
Also the players that were semi-cheating by playing on a team when they shouldn't have been has also been addressed.
The game keeps getting better and better. Love it.

Thanks for the up to date Northgard content ! I would love if you explained what the clan role and best win conditions , and how they fulfill it. Basically the gameplan.
Stoat can get fur coats now...thats scary. Also relics main strength imo is that it costs 50 faith to upgrade a tile and EVERY SINGLE TILE becomes a free +2 faith and +happiness...
yeah the levys got a few nerfs now tho, lets see how these changes will work together!
I REALLY do love Owl clan.... but I feel like its' difficulty is purely due to some poor wording/bugs within the descriptions of the content. Idk, might be just me but I feel like some things around the lore/ygdrasil branch placements could be worded better to tell me what it is I'm actually doing in better detail
Oh my God, I'm finishing an Extreme Conquest with the Owl clan together with my Bestie, and I'm soooo in love with this clan! Very aggressive, forces you to think, plan and adjust, and lastly the design is top notch! Highly recommend, and when people say it's not that stable, just remember, it's just a matter of patch or two :)
yeah its really fun to play i actually didnt have a really bad spawn yet :P

I don't really understand why I should take down parasitic vegetables. The -33% fewer resources for working units could be a good buff and there is nothing really stolen from my resources. Placing that in the field of a teammate would be a huge win-win, wouldn't it?

Yeah I think it wont be as hard to play tho, just quite different then the other clans again :P
Didn't know that vegan owls were a thing. And here it's hardcore vegan, they won't even touch the trees.
Yeah build their homes on the most sustainable fundament...knowledge!
Parasitic Vegetable I did one with Ai to test and Owl got 4 resource per hundred in stock. and looks like they get the bonus twice a month. 4/100 time 2 per month if they got 1000 in stock you'll get about 80 a month
ok i guess it is worth to build it then if you got a lore eco that is strong enough :P
looks like this will be my new fav clan after raven :))

btw some thoughts on this new Owl clan:
1) stone dwarves AND anvil of gods with iron in single map is OP for collector root
2) root of other clan knowledge does stack by 2x which is OP on stuff like Dragon's 150%+150% attack power for single unit
3) that said, not sure if bug, but such root cannot be destroyed and image/stats seem also broken when any 2 are placed anywhere, also knowledge like bear's fisherman boost is absolutely useless
4) owl's relic is OP due to the fact every upgraded zone being Forest zone means wild lore boost
5) Guardian of realms (lore victory) is weaker than Jotunn, so rushing Jotunn is handy (but nerfed by fact only 1 norn can spy/scout neutrals)
@@TazzSmk All 3 can scout neutrals...if you have 40 relations you can fire 3 norns onto it and you instantly ally i believe...
@@cheato1163 not possible, only 1 norn (and 1 branch) can scout /improve 1 neutral
@@TazzSmk Weird, i was able to do so to a jotun in conquest so i assumed it was normal and allowed. Just checked in a normal match and it didnt work. Might have been a bug.
Thanks for the overview . If you delete the fertile ground branch do the farms remain functional on the tile?
I'm pretty sure I tried this in the beta and the farm will NOT remain functional, but with all the bonis you should easily be able to have
enough food with 1 farm
@@CrazyDentist I can confirm the farm does indeed stay but the farmer jobs go to 0 so they stop working until its rebuilt.
I also can't figure out how to build the Guardian of the Realms. We had a wisdom victory enabled, the opponent built this beast, but I have no idea how. Would appreciate your help :)

So why can't you get the Guardian? I've been playing Clan Owl a lot recently and I can't figure out how to get it.
When you got one of the "chief lores" that are on the outer ring and cost 480lore the guardian lore will appear in the middle of the lore tree and cost a certain amount of lore depending on which tile you place it on (dunno what the math is on that) then the guardian will spawn out of that seed relatively quickly.

I use to play it in PC until I lost my account, and now I'll just start again playing in mobile only 😅
