ok the DnD cosplay writer is NTA because he wasn’t doing any of these hobbies as a prank, he was just living his life and had a weird interaction with judgmental busybody neighbors! a real cult would be serious, but what’s funny about the situation is the neighbors seeing these friends playing DnD, an incredibly common hobby, and thinking it is actually a demonic cult. which is 100% on the neighbors for being inappropriate and unfriendly, not the DnD players. like yes maybe you could be the bigger person and try to have a better neighborly relationship by explaining, but the neighbors started it by being scared of nothing
