- Every village in South Tyrol has its own 🎶 music band and playing music together is a very important part of the social structure and the community itself. The bands are playing at all festive occasions, such as Church days, processions, district music festivals & parades. In addition to traditional concerts and parades, they fulfill many important tasks in the village. The musicians of the bands are also a visual eye candy, by wearing the local Tyrolean costumes. 🥁

The Tyrolean Brass Band Association has 303 bands in 19 music districts. There are over 15,650 active members in these bands. The South Tyrolean Brass Band Association currently organizes 211 bands with around 9,350 female and male musicians. Both associations have the goal to cultivate and spread the brass music at a high level. They also take care of the music education. They also organize a lot of events, such as national and district music festivals, concerts and competitions.

Every little town has its own marching band. They practice after work.
I would have loved to have been there for a festival like that. Austria is the most beautiful country I have ever visited.

@fan8281 The main difference is that the majority of the population in Northern Ireland (aka Ulster) are either British or identify as British. In the Alto Adige, the vast majority of the population are Germanic and refuse to acknowledge that they are part of Italy. Really gets the Italians pissed off. Just another European stuff up.

I have been subscribed to this channel for some time and thoroughly enjoy the displays and music, but am curious about the significance of the young ladies at the front alongside the StabFuehrer with the horns of flowers and the drink barrels and glasses - can anybody help explain this for me -- Thank you!
Those ladies are "Marketenderinnen" (sutler?) They are members of the band without instruments.
They are recieving donations from the audience for the band and thank with a flower or a snifter of schnapps.
They also have an eye for the livery, to fit correctly.

Sonst bin ich nur Kapellen mit zigmillionen Flöten und Glockenspiel gewöhnt, aber so ists doch viel angenehmer!

Ich habe selten den Ruetz Marsch in solcher Qualitaet gehört. Die klaren Hornsignale ausserordentlich sauber gespielt.
Vergleich dazu die MK Niederrasen.
Lieber Armin, (ich hoffe ich darf Dich so nennen, wie in unserem geliebten Tirol es ja üblich ist, per Du zu sein) stelle bitte das Gesamtvideo von der BK Onach irgendwann einmal hier ein oder falls Du etwas anderes über diese Kapelle hast würde ich auch schon glücklich sein.

Ci sono diverse. Una grande é ogni anno in autunno a Merano. Comunque se vuole vedere sul sito www.vsm.bz.it ci sono diversi appuntamenti, credo che si puo' anche optare per lingua italiana.
