Sandakan has few attractions, Kota Kinabalu is a popular tourist destination in Sabah (with its surrounding islands and mountains), and while Semporna is more of an island, but the hotels on the islands are quite expensive, so save money by staying in town and taking a tour package to and from the islands.
Hi Dan and Beth, great video and what lovely hotel to stay in!! I really liked it. I just wanted to ask how long does it take from the airport to arrive at the hotel? And would the hotel pick you up from the airport if they have that service? Thank you guys really loving your videos. Enjoy and have lots of fun!!
Hey there Richard. Thanks very much and glad you liked it! So it was roughly about a 15 minute drive from Sandakan airport, we booked a grab that picked us up. However I'm sure the hotel would be more than willing to arrange airport pick up and drop off for you! They were great and we'd 100% recommend to anybody :)
The other 2 rooms from the beginning almost looks like a scifi like in the future of 2050😅. Hope u both enjoy sabah. But im the neighbour state there which is sarawak😁

don' be so negative, they are there to visit and enjoy the nature where the orangutan famous rehabilitation center is.
