Notes:
SBA always provides a safe jump with super jump forward
Ult dp provides safe jump with super jump straight up
After 214U into 22H (heavy lightning), 66M is auto timed since they cannot delay wakeup if you think they'll mash or dp run up jump can bait and allow you to punish

Idk if im in the minority on this, but in the future would it be possible to have the inputs for the combo listed in the description or edited into the bottom of each clip. I think it would be easier to follow than with the inputs that are shown in game

took me a while but i finally hit the overhead combo in a real match, felt really good. also faced a dude who actually blocked high when i started the setup...now to learn the low combo.

Been playing non stop naermaya she been getting super frustrating really complex character to fully utilize her kit. Decided to pick up zooey when game came out haven’t put time into her but def will now thanks good guide man keep up the good work.
It'd be nice if the button displays were the attacks and not the gamepad buttons

I am watching this video daily to learn all about these setups haha! Just a quick question, i'm having issues with the "Lightning Overhead Combo" since after the overhead the opponent goes into "down" status before lightning reaches them... is it a timing issue? Ty ♥
Mained this character since day one in og GranBlue and loved her, but man I've considered dropping her many times in Rising, only to come back to her cause I wasn't familiar with anyone else. She just feels lacking from the change over and besides a few characters, everyone else has an easier time doing everything 😅
Good stuff though! The guide does show me some new stuff though, but I hope she gets buffs so these super tight combos don't have to be her norm to get actual damage out xD. (saves to playlist of Zooy stuff)

Honestly man I just transferred from playing comp mortal kombat and I’ve been loving this game. Difficult transition but enjoy the learning process.
I picked up as my first character Zooey because she seems like one of coolest characters to me. After watching this vid I know I got a lot more to learn and honestly… I don’t even know where it’s start man. Any tips? I would love to get this going 😂
Not really good at giving advice but
1. You have to be familiarize yourself with her normals (2m and 5m are great midscreen)
2. Practice small confirms off of pokes (214X or raging strike into combo)
3. You can zone out most characters with dragon but try not to run out of meter

Especially the ones that lead into mix with lightning. I’ve been trying to learn how to do it but its very awkward to hold a button and do an autocombo since I play on pad 😭
after you use the lightning, you can hold down the skill button instead of your main 4 buttons to delay the lightning with that instead! i find it a lot easier since on pad, the skill button is on a shoulder button so it shouldn't affect gameplay too much
idk if it'd help but i find it easier to do the 22H and then hold the skill button

I have my shortcut button on R2 so i just do the lightning with down R2+H keep on holding R2 with my middle finger and let go of H so my thumb can do the autocombo.
Honestly I would like Notations for all the combos if that’s fine
Having loads of trouble getting the 2H to come out at 1:54 right before the fire
I tried the corner swam combo at 0:08, i don't get the thiming after doing the half circle ex betweet the moment the sword touch and after the shiedl goes hit the ground. It always whiff and i can't do the c.u. etc
You have to delay the first part of a rekka as much as possible. It might take a bit to get the timing down.

but how are you confirming your 214H into 2L into dragon? for both the corner swap combo and the anti air, I am only able to confirm the crouch light into another jab. no matter how fast I mash dragon

You're supposed to do 2U instead of 2L because 2U is special cancellable unlike 2L

I'm having a lot of trouble to connect the second hit of the 214H at 0:12 . The first hit connects fine, but the dummy seems to always be too high to connect the second hit no matter how much I delay it. Is it supposed to be this tight of a timing or maybe I'm messing something else up?
I have the same issue, not sure what timing I'm missing.
It's a timing thing. If you do the follow up of raging strike, then the opponent is always in the exact same position. You have to delay it till right before 214H closes the window for the follow up.

Do you have the command list? I am watching but I do not know what you are doing
Is linking the 2 cl.L's for the lighting high/low necessary to make the setup work?
Alternatively you can do 5l>5l>5mmm I just think this is the easiest to do consistently
Doing just 5lll or 5mmm allows them to wakeup throw you out of the setup
How are you doing the C overhead followup to the string while also holding onto C for the lighting call?
once you set the lightning using C, you can switch to holding the skill button
With how strong zooey is and up on the tier lists for many high level players, im surprised there are no master rank zooeys yet. Thanks for this guide, been wanting to try her out but she seemed a bit complicated.

It might be easier for you to write down the notation on some paper or a Google doc than trying to do the combo directly from watching the video. You don't gotta get the pro player to do it for you.

Its the Ex color I got for competing in a cygames online tourney in vanilla. Some rising tournaments have given them out too now.

Are the overhead/low lightning combos not real on the mix? After I set up lightning I keep getting mashed on with lights and dp do I need to condition my opponent first or am I mistiming the lightning setup itself.
The mix is technically not real as they can simply guard low then high (I think this is fuzzy guarding) but you should not be getting mashed on at the beginning of the set up because 5l can meaty. If they are fuzzy guarding do 5ll > 2l
Awesome labbed it out and I was doing the second 5l too slow so I wasn't getting them high enough for 5l to meaty. Appreciate the response and loving the zooey gameplay has helped me improve my game a lot!@@RiSYnnn

Typically yes because they reset the opponent in air meaning they cannot delay their wakeup and mess up the mix

Its the EX color you could have gotten for participating in an official tournament in GBVS
They'll likely bring more ways to earn it later down the line

No routes have changed or been removed but there are better routes that Ive been using
Zooey is so cool, but I feel like shes actually lower tiered in this game. Compared to the other characters shes just not as easily abusable. some of the setups can be beat out just by mashing. the timing for the dashing overhead has to be perfect or your going to get mashed or reversed. someone just released a vid showing how many characters have made it to master+ ranks. Zoey highest rank was S++3, compared to Nier who has 21 masters. lol maybe one day we will see a Zooey master.
Patapon got Zooey to master earlier today. I was the one at S++3 so ill go for master soon too. But yeah Nier and Seox are definitely overtuned.
@@RiSYnnn You were the first person I thought of at S++3 and I was correct after seeing that listen. I don't see a lot of Zooey players and I probably seen a Patapon video, but you're the one of my radar the most. I'm casually learning the game and with my locals but maybe after a week or two I'll take on rank to push my proficiency even further.

Game is very simple you should try the free version
other characters aren't as complex as her she is kinda ridiculously hard
this just training mode the ui in game just a bar on top.
