In the movies they glamorize everything and nothing is really like it was back then!!

People were reporting “wild” Apache sightings up through the 1920s. Pretty amazing stuff. The Apache Kid shows us just maybe there were…

Thank you for the video..I heard some say that Micky Free was the same person ..I always said it wasnt so

We've heard similar sentiments! It's a popular pattern in myth-making for legends to intertwine and lead some to believe two folks are the same person.
I always imagine how crazy it would have been had Micky Free been the one to arrest the Kid. Who comes out on top?

@@footprintsofthefrontier . could be either or I suppose..only I would say Apache Kid would always have the edge so to speak because it was his home..and when it's home..to me the drive for any and everything is at the strongest..Mickey Free came from the east ..if I'm not mistaken..not sure why he went west. There was a Seminole chief named " Wild Cat?" who managed to migrate to northern Mexico with his immediate band and some black Seminoles where they worked as border Patrol police against outlaws, bandits or warring tribes ..I think they were good at it from what I researched..in the end they are the only Seminoles that weren't either killed, sent to Oklahoma or the few who hid in the swamps..that I know of.

Mickey Free and the kid were different. My 6th great grandpa was John Rope who was raised alongside Mickey Free who had red hair

A reasonably accurate telling. Missed point - most Native Americans had been decimated by European disease and cultural changes which came with the horse. Secondly, the narrator sounds to be French-Canadian (Quebec) due to his numerous mispronunciations of American English - Tri Bit Taries instead of tributaries and I-Ron instead of the most common I-Earn. 'Iconic Conestoga & 10 Gallon hat' neither of which were shown full scale...
