Male Pilots often marry female Flight Attendants, but why female Pilots never marry male Flight Attendants? Do female pilots date male flight attendants?
Yes, I know about the gun. But I am in the USA and working toward my ATP certificate. Flight attendant rules are a bit different here, of course this changes from company to company, but rules requiring makeup and shaping eyebrows are not considered socially acceptable and may violate some fair labor laws. These things can be encouraged without being required. Most of the rules will simple state something like "clean and well groomed" and a description of acceptable hairstyles.
Your comments about dating people within the profession are so true. My wife and I met in 1976 as student nurse and student doctor. We worked together for decades. Common interests bind in a loving way.
Or indeed within the same general industry. I work on the ground crews and thus my partner and I share many of the same interests and we understand enough about each other’s jobs and aviation to understand why something comes up and plans must be altered last minute. A having mutually high levels of being comfortable spending reasonably long periods apart also really helps. I’m unsurprised that this sort of thing happens in other professions and industries.
Flight attendants have great social skills and are quite intelligent and adept at handling lots of different scenario. What people often don't realize is that flight attendants are far tougher than they appear and quite assertive both on and off the plane. I transported several flight crews in my previous job.
Thank you for sharing your view on flying. Aviation needs more female pilots! Good you mentioned standard operating procedures. As a medical doctor I can relate to that. Even with utter strangers (who say they are trained in basic life support), we can work together to help someone to get back alive or to stabilize him/her. I love procedures! Please keep up your good work and I hope you will be in the skies soon!
Thanks Michelle, for taking the time to update us on some interesting subjects. Also compliments for the video (recording and editing). It's starting to look more professional each time (lekker Engels Ed..tjeetje). Stay safe up there and have fun flying ;-)
Kind of small world, first I heard about you on Show news on TV, Then I saw a podcast from Mentour with you as a guest and here I'm following all the podcasts.
Can you talk about turbulence? How much an airliner can handle before it becomes dangerous, and what a pilot can do to reduce risk and make the ride more comfortable, other than change altitude?
Nice, PilotGirl delivery... Lots of animated gestures...smiles...hand flipping and well... That wounderful Dutch Girl personality shining through... I loved it.. And.. Oh yea... Dont forget to water that thirsty plant and oil your bike chain, levers and brake cables.... 💨
Very informative. Thank you for a very helpful video. My question is who assembles the flight crew? Do pilots have input about who they fly with? When you fly with a specific crew, how long do you stay together, for just one flight or for several? I remember my brother-in-law, who flew for TWA, talking about bidding for certain routes. Is that still done? Thanks, Michelle, best wishes.
While have accomodation in the long intercity tours, bus driver and guide also sleeping separate, each one in a single room, and this is for the same reason: to have rest in quiet!
3:24 In the words of my dearest Cori: get outta town! I did not know most of what you described, but I did know about the controlled rest. I heard about it from two YouTubing pilots, one of which you actually collaborated with on RUclips. It was Captain Joe.
Dutchpilot girl, I always wondered about the information you have mentioned. So much appreciated! So helpful to learn about ur craft, appreciate your helpful hints, keep ur great! Video coming.👌💕
6:07 Here we once had an MP taken off board due to improper/unruly conduct. Unfortunately, as far as I recall there haven't been any judicial proceedings on it. Only the shame of being removed on Captain's orders, and a temporary suspension from office.
I've watched this great video so many times I've nearly memorized all the words! Thank you for being you and sharing. You are such a dear. N Idaho senior
Thanks you very much indeed for all these details, I already knew something, I've learnt a lot more. I'm happy to follow your channel. You are a true pro, you know your stuff, and you look stunning!
Really appreciate with your valuable videos... I’m sure you have already thousands of tanks)) 🌼🌼🌼 You look very diligent, and I want to other people know it’s a huge job to be a pilot. As instructors of standard department, I want to ask you to make the video with preflight preparation considering discovering with necessary doc etc. One more interesting thing to familiar with your details for SIM training. Might be some information about SIM conducting process. Respect ✊ and all the best))
Miss Michelle, so nice to see you again. I was missing you. I hear an airline was offering someone special from Europe, $150,000 salary plus many incentives, college tuition loan repayment 100%, $50,000 sign on bonus, any and all training company paid. Paid Uniforms, Per Diem, 5 Star Hotels company paid. Expense reimbursement. 5 year contract with annual pay raises. They really want her. She must be very special. I know the CEO personally and I'm 100% positive he would hire you in a heartbeat. You should seriously look into this
@@Emiliano88888 what country do you live in? Because I am sure it just age that matters on a legal level, I think it just at school or college level it's not OK
The gun rules are the same for helicopter pilots in Canada. In order for guns to be carried on board, the pilot has to also have a firearms license, simply to handle the gun(s), make sure it's/they're unloaded and stowed.
Hello! Great video! Look forward to the next one! Question: if a mechanical issue happens on a plane, would it be better to take the plane to its main hub or the closest suitable airport for repairs?
These crew overhead compartments.. have you screened them with UV-cannon? We made the mistake to do that at a previous job I had, and boy did I not want to know the result.. 😆
Great video. Your English is generally very good (in fact better than many native speakers). One mistake that you consistently make though is with the plural of aircraft, which is aircraft, not aircrafts. Let me know if you're interested in more English tips as I'm an ESL Teacher and would be glad to help you.

All good fun! Enjoyed the gun story but was happy to learn FA get to relax. Didn't like that so many demands are put of FA's to look "pretty" as natural is also wonderful without makeup!
No,most airlines would require that you have an aviation related degree before you go ahead to flight school but if you don't want to you could just skip all that and go straight to flight school but I'd advice you get a degree to back it up
Hi guys! Thanks for watching this video. :D Did you know about the gun in the cockpit? I wish you a great weekend!

No, I don’t, tell us please.
Thank you, great we to u2.
This video is informative that not all fliers knows about some procedures regarding pilot’s and flight attendant’s job in general.

Last time I was this early, captain joe was still flying for Air Berlin
this early to comment you mean>? or

Who does he fly for now?
LGM Aviation Captain Joe now flies Boeing 747 for CargoLux.
That genuinely made me laugh

Hi, Michele. Another thing is that the cockpit crew, (or front enders) usually get single rooms, and the cabin crew usually have to share.
I do not know anything about flying and that is why I love your videos .Learning every day , Thank you
Wow l didn't know that, l used to work on MD11, MD90, and MD80 l didn't see that or am just only an electrician. Happy flying.
Very informative🤔
Safe travels Michelle as always!
Michelle, I am so happy you are back to your RUclips postings. I really missed them, but love following you on instagram.
I used Vueling for the first time last year and was very impressed with them

The thumbnail is too good. My fingers clicked without me knowing.

I can picture the guide being a paid chatterbox that he just doesn’t stop talking, preventing the driver to rest.
