I have a pair of Westco Jobmasters, lace-to-toe. The leather is Italian Mariam in black. The boots are special, so much so, I feel like a superhero when I wear them. Westco is legend!
I agree I’ve had their boss engineer boots for 12 years now sent them back two times to get resold. They are the most comfortable parables. I’ve have next to their job masters and I have a pair of JK boots also but by far the boss engineer is my favorite.
HI! I'm Matteo from Milan Italy. Gorgeous Mr Lou boots. I want to order a pair too but I'm extremely undecided about the size. Some say (including the factory) to cut half a size off, others don't on the Mr Lous due to the "MP" toe. My measurements are 10US (27.4cm) and foot circumference at the ball 11 inches, so wide. In Nicks boots I'm a 9.5F. What do you think about Wesco Mr. Lou? In all Red Wing moc toes I wear a size 10 and in all my boots I wear a 28.5 cm leather insole that fits perfectly. help!!! Ciao Matteo, sono anch'io innammorato di questi stivali e vivo in Italia come te e ho le stesse tue perplessità. Come ho già scritto, Wesco ha tempi bibblici di consegna. Scusa se mi permetto, ma...16 MESI... sono veramente tanti. Sono una vita! Se consideri anche il fatto che per noi "poveri" italiani è un vero salto nel buio ordinare stivali da circa 1000 euro (se consideri dogana e iva aggiunta italiana) per poi rischiare di ricevere ( dopo 1 anno e mezzo!) degli stivali che non vanno bene?? E' come scommettere sul nero o sul rosso alla roulette. Per come la vedo io, non c'è una reale certezza di centrare la calzata perfetta da remoto, se non quella di essere sul posto e provare lo stivale di persona. Anch'io ho delle Red Wing, ma queste per fortuna le ho prese in Germania ( si può dire a casa per noi) e sono scarpe di serie che comunque il negozio disponeva a magazzino. Un paia di Beckman le ho dovute cambiare e dopo circa 10 gg mi sono arrivate le altre da Berlino. Ma con questi marziani di Wesco, White's, Viberg...che non hanno NULLA in tutta europa è un vero casino.
Drove me crazy, it takes 2 seconds to realize it's a Panerai then it's non-stop movement :D I have a couple of Panerai's and the nice thing about being that deep into watches, these boots don't seem too expensive :D. You just have a Rolex wait time!
Dude...Instead of laughing so much explain us why it takes MORE THAN 1 YEAR AND HALF to get a pair of these Wesco Mr Lou custom boots......same of a 40 feet sailing boat time construction ! From Standard&Strange and Bakers : +15 months delivery time from order. You could die before getting the boots ! This is unacceptable. What's going on at Wesco ????!!!
The quality is Wesco is terrible for what you pay. Quality control issues, months of waiting, and often size issues with these boots. Good luck trying to get anyone to sort you out either, they’re so backed up with orders you practically have to beg to get your boots. I’d go with White’s for the same price point, better quality and service. Or just spend more and go with John Lofgren, Attractions, or Clinch.
Wesco Engineer's are the coolest boots in the market. Congrats and subbed!
