As a New Mexican I would like to correct you and about the thousands that come here for the balloon Fiesta. It's more like a million each time. Also the balloons average to about 1000 now

Yep. Part if it is that New Mexico has a lot of light. That may sound weird, but due to how flat the terrain is, light is able to go much further, letting you see much further away. Its actually a key reason some movies get shot in NM.
@@hellfrozenphoenix13Flat? New Mexico isn't flat. Mountains, Mesas, Valleys, all over the state. There are flat areas, but the state is not flat. Just look up different parts of the state and their altitudes. It varies greatly..
@@R-BURQUENO i literally live there. And yes, its actually fairly flat. Its why the light reaches so far and why its a good place to film (the amazing lighting is great for filming and photos). While the mountains and mesas sure do create some variety in the height, overall the land is pretty consistent in its height and its why you can see for miles further than most places. Go to other states and see how far you can see, then go to New Mexico amd see how much further one can see. Its honestly a huge difference thats easy to miss

NOT a safe city, read the statistics on crime and gangs.I lived in the west for years...just getting off the freeway was scarey.
I’ve lived in Albuquerque for 20 years. Just like any big city there’s definitely areas you want to stay away from but overall the crime to me isn’t nearly as bad as some may think. Just stay out of a few southern areas of the city and you’ll be A-okay. And even at that, you can drive through those areas with no issues. Rio Rancho is basically the Scottsdale of Albuquerque and that’s a great place to live! Cops do a great job, schools are great and the city is being built very well👌🏽 Plus we don’t have to worry about crazy weather like Tornadoes or Snow Storms other then heat which isn’t nearly as bad as Texas, AZ or southern NM.

I came here for my job….I’ll never in my life live here again how people have lived here all their life is beyond me a few tips..stay away from central past 9PM,if you’re staying here for an extended amount of time exercise ur second amendment to the fullest extent, if you’re into cars don’t go to any “car meet” there will be a shootout over nonsense, lastly at every green light (specifically at night) wait 5 seconds before u go if not you will be t boned, also makes sure u have uninsured motorists insurance as well because 95 percent don’t have insurance or drivers license!!! Only a tiny bit. Usually, the issue is bad landings and powerlines, but even then its not an every year occurrence. And when you consider the literal hundreds of balloons in the air, thats honestly not bad at all.
