It's a bit confusing or maybe I would say not specific. You not only need to have fun in high school or just passing your high school but you need to get at least a B in 5 subjects namely; Physic, Biology, Chemistry, Math/Additional Math and another subject to qualify you to Med School in Malaysia. That's the 1st requirement regardless you get a 4 Flat in Pre-U. It's quite sad that the low requirements currently impose for student to enter private Med School. i.e. CGPA 3.00 only for IMU (Average B!!!)
Hey there , for accommodations we mainly have to rent it from private owners and contact them ourselves. However, i believe there is people from IMU Student services which might help you in contacting some agents ( but it will be slightly more expensive than renting on your own ).
Hello. Would it be a reckless choice if i do IMU's foundation programme instead of A levels? I know it would limit my ability to apply for other universities but my goal is only to get into IMU's PMS programme. I would appreciate your suggestions.
Hi there , I think it’s good to go for imu foundation if you had already decided to go for imu undergrad program . Not to mention , It saves you time and money 👍🏻. I had took a levels before because I wasn’t sure where I wanted to study at for my MBBS degree, besides having more options during my application process , it doesn’t really change anything once you had entered imu .
@@lunaq.q. Oh thank you for your advice Luna! I have also decided on the foundation programme but ngl im lowkey worried if i could get into IMU undergrad or not, if i didnt i would meet a dead end haha but i did great in my IGCSEs so fingers crossed! Hope to meet you on campus if i made it! If you have any study tips or interview tips please share!
Hey there , sorry for the late reply . I don’t think I have an answer for this because I believe it all boils down to what you want . If you are planning to work overseas after your graduation, it’s better to do overseas from an earlier stage as their degree is better recognised as compared to some local universities . But if you are planning to work in Malaysia after graduation, doing the local track would do just fine . Also , eventhou you change your mind after doing local track , you can always do special medical licensing examinations such as USMLE or PLEP test to still apply for placements at overseas. hope that helps !
Wait so, after I complete A-levels, I don't need to do Bachelor's in Medicine and Surgery or smtg like that? I can get into Medical School after A-Levels? REALLY?
Yes for most of the medical schools in Malaysia, you could use your a-levels results for applications , unless you are unable to meet their minimum requirements, only then they might require you to go for a bachelors. Hope that helps 🙆🏻♀️
Hi there 👋🏻, I did apply and here are some tips from my past experiences 1. Know what are the things that only you can offer and not something they would hear 20 times a day . ( for example if you are a book prize winner or you had done certain scientific research in school , even better if you had published your own research papers ) 2. Think about what are the things you can offer for THAT institute / society . For example , if that institute is very avid in promoting their scientific research and you are also interested in doing studies or research as well , you could mention it so that they know you are align with their vision . 3. Instead of telling them you have a certain quality, show it to them by talking about your past experiences which showcase that certain quality. For example , instead of saying you wish to help the society , you could talk about what are the past experiences which you had that contributes to the society. Lastly pls stay true to yourself and do not lie in your interview , interviewers are smart and they can tell if things don’t add up . But most importantly, be confident in yourself and try your best to not panic hahah Hope some of my humble tips will be of help 🙆🏻♀️ Good luck ☺️💪🏻💪🏻
