Personally think what the song and MV is portraying is the exaggeration of their dreams? Visualizing themselves as the next big thing, massive stars , "XXL". But as we see at the end of the MV, they get a reality check, like No, we not at that level yet.
Really? It seems more like them experiencing what it was like to be the talk of the town for just a moment and it being short lived. This sounds more like a declaration that they’re are bigger and better things to come. XXL things.
“We really love and respect hip-hop and the culture. Although we know we can never fully represent the real hip-hop culture, we wanna be just playful and creative in a style that is unique to us." Sunhye (YOUNG POSSE) comments on her love and respect for the hip-hop movement.
spoken more respectfully and you can feel she actually loved hiphop compared to most khh rappers who are practically just culture vultures. young girl speaks really good deserves respect.
If talking about "acting", didn't you guys notice that almost ALL THE KPOP IDOLS "acted"? For example, IVE had song called "baddie", are they really that bad? NO, they are always cute and girly in real life, like you said "princess". And look at Jennie and Lisa rapping in old school beat like "we got bodies on bodies like it's a slow dance", are they really that gangster?? NO, they all come from rich family and they still get a little bit shy and cute when they were facing interviews sometimes. We never talked about that. Why now? Asian culture require people always acting very polite and nice. It doesn't mean that these young girls don't have their own understanding of music. Members of YP said that they love hip-hop music, and they know they can't represent hip-hop music but they just want to express in their way. I can feel the fun and imagination in this MV and their sound is nice to me.
THIS!!!!!! i seriously dont understand why people act like this with young posse honestly and truly, the opinions are just full of double standards against them, it just makes no sense how people start acting as if they don't know what kpop is or how it works and talking as if every single group doesnt "act" for example, if anything young posse has shown to be the most genuine when doing hip hop and rap concepts as they truly have appreciation for the culture and are always paying homage and shouting out people who help make the culture they love so much in their own songs too which they write most of themselves, so you know everything is coming directly from them, they're very educated about the whole matter, in fact the leader sunhye even said so recently: "We really love and respect hip-hop and the culture. Although we know we can never fully represent the real hip-hop culture, we wanna be just playful and creative in a style that is unique to us…” and i think that's very important to note

@sgl6351, I understand what you’re saying and these RUclips reactors are into only in a certain type of demographic of girl K-pop groups. I have a feeling that they don’t want girl groups to step out of “stereotype“ cutesy and girly concepts! Technically I think they were a breath of fresh air they are stepping out of the normal K-pop girl group comfort zone they like hip-hop they can express it the way they want to, the opinions of these three reactors I just shrug it off because that’s just their opinion it doesn’t make them right it’s just their opinion! These girls come from a small company I believe they’re under the same company DSP Media and The Beats that KARD are under? Even BM from KARD featured on their Album XXL. He even said that these young ladies who are all under 20 are breaking out of typical K-pop girl group concepts. If you remember a decade ago it was a group that started out very hip hop, broke out of the norm of typical boy group concepts in K-pop and their name is BTS and see how they had through the years and the different types of genres and concepts throughout their 10 years! These girls are young and the older they get there might be different changes happening but right now they’re appropriate for their age what they’re doing something new and fresh and I approve and I like it and I think there’s a lot of people who like them! I hope that they will make it and that they will become very successful!👍
@liberty9839, exactly I really like these reactors I think that they are pretty fair when it comes to their opinions but this time around I have to disagree on how they we’re a little stereotype on how K-pop girl group is supposed to be! Just remember these three reactors love TWICE been to their concert and this is the type of K-pop girl group they identify with. They don’t want to step out of their K-pop girl group comfort zone so they’re going to stereotype and think that all girl groups should be like TWICE! Smfh🤦🏻♀️

@@outdated7341 My point is; there's nothing 'more' anybody needs to see whats in front of them to develop an opinion on it. If someone doesn't like something, then they don't like it; there's nothing more to it. He's not wrong about anything. From a business point of view, that's a flaw on the production, and not on the consumer. There's nothing too in-depth in this music video that a viewer would have to fully grasp the concept of and appreciate it; and EVEN if there were, it's not a viewers responsibility to do so.
This is what happened when you are only always into Big Groups, you can't really appreciate the smaller groups because you always gonna end up compared them to this Big Groups
@@jay-7379 Exactly! There's nothing in this world, that everyone likes. But in the kpop bubble, people take extreme offense to that. They weren't rude or disrespectful or anything, just said they didn't like it and why.

way too many close-minded opinions, double standards, and hypocrisy in this reaction. really disappointed honestly. this comeback is meant to be fun and silly but you guys took it wayyyyy too seriously. it’s fine if you don’t care for it obviously art is subjective, but some of the things you guys had to say about the girls in particular were really unnecessary.
I think it will be difficult for them to accept this kind of kpop hip hop song, especially since this song is based on the characteristics of 90s hip hop, I know they are grew up with the original hip hop and their people were the ones who created the hip hop genre, but because youngposse is kpop gen 5 This song was definitely made to be easier listening for commercial purposes so that it can reach the younger generation so I think it is quite successful with the concept of 90s hip hop and Kpop elements but maybe for these guys this is too complicated because of the acculturation of 90s hip hop and Kpop
Double standards? You’re just throwing words without any backup. Could you elaborate and tell exactly what are the parts and statements made by them that give away what you’re trying to imply?
@@tieAcherry101 double standards as in they praise other groups who “act” a certain way in mvs and on stage but then change to a respectful and mellow manner during interviews and off-stage content. xg is an example of this, and there are so many others that could have the same be said for them. they use that as a form of critique as if they don’t react positively to so many other groups who do the same thing. not to mention these guys know absolutely nothing about these girls

It has nothing to do with off-stage presence, they never said that, they said their presence and acting wasn’t believable. We can see potential in something without fully liking it, in art more specifically. They’ve done exactly that. They didn’t discredit the groups’ working progress, they discredited their personas on camera (and if they did attack the girls’ livings you can mark the timestamps in your response, since I’m interested if your accusations hold truth.) These girls may like hiphop and try to portray this style fully, but they’re just not giving it on screen for them. And that’s fine. Not to mention the group’s continues flirting with double meanings and innuendos in their lyrics while being minors, but you’re just more invested in critiquing the people that originated this style as a form of mechanism against repression and have every right to like or dislike (without offending) the byproducts of their history.

Wow some of yalls comments really clarified/justified the overall message of the song + MV. But everyone has their own opinion. The music video is pretty much stating how "big" or famous they are with still no recognition. With the magazine stating "ROTY" and them being plus size version of themselves, and them being in a blimp. Then, at the end you see them not being recognized. In my opinion, this is one of their best songs following macaroni chesse and that remix. It's something new and what i enjoyed!
I love Young Posse, they are really talented, I hope they become more successful and famous. As you know, most groups do not get the value they deserve because they are not known. I hope Young Posse gets the value they deserve.

Come on lil man you expect them to act mean and hard outside of this concept? I mean you don’t have to like this song but the criticism doesn’t make sense to me, very hypocritical, name a kpop rapper that dresses or behave like the song they perform I mean Jay park out here doing dance challenges with kids and I guarantee there’s none living the thug life this ain’t America it’s Kpop 🤦🏻♂️
I think if you take the KPOP mindset out of it, you'd appreciate it more. Like when the one started fast rapping, she says "why do art if your going to copy everyone else". Which I agree most music sounds the same nowadays. YP seem to be trying to steer away from the KPOP lane but also know they will get looked past by KPOP heads like at the end of the MV. This is more Hip Hop than KPOP. I do not like KPOP but been vibing with this song. I also don't see them trying to portray themselves as "gangster" one bit. Nothing about this yelled "hard" to me but thats my personal opinion.
The funny thing is we watched a live performance for Patreon where I came away with a similar critique adjusting my initial critique but nobody is gonna see that. 🤷🏾♂️

@@hailsy04209I would have to disagree. XG is authentic and it’s the reason why so many people gravitate towards them. Especially people like me who are new to K-pop/Asian pop scene.
Young Posse really highlights the wacky, weird, and fun in K-Pop that if you think about it, we don’t really see much in modern era. Like I look at the Mvs of theirs and I get a sense of nostalgia of 2nd Gen groups and a bit of 3rd Gen. where you had Mvs that were over the top, highly produced of their times, and is a fun bop to jam to without taking it too seriously. To me, YP are the hip hop version of NewJeans. Both groups stand out in their respective styles and the way they convey themselves in their music. However, both still are fun, weird, and depending on how you define it wacky. You can tell the girls are having fun doing what they love, not to say other groups aren’t having fun too. But you can tell even behind the scenes they are having a blast while keeping things professional. Remember, this group is under the same company home as Mamamoo, KARD, and Purple Kiss. In many ways, they are out of the standard Kpop conformities but use that to their advantage and have a dgaf attitude about what most of those standards expect from them. I thought the mv was fairly easy to follow. The girls got a lot of recognition in the form of blimps, the way they xxl stuff, the billboards, but the reality is they aren’t at that level as they thought. And as we see time and time again with every artists, they do wacky stuff when reaching a high peak or when their egos in some cases reach that supposed high. Now The costume comment comes across as weird to me. Because you can apply that same comment to the groups you listen to; BTS, STRAY KIDS, ATEEZ, and to certain extents TWICE and Mamamoo. They too are all smiles outside the songs they dropped which contrasts the persona they show. So how is Young Posse that different? Why should they be criticized when other groups are the same? In interviews, Felix isn’t the badass he shows in the music but all sunshine and funny. But he still shows both sides effectively. YP can be the same. Y’all enjoy XG but they are total opposites to the badass attitude they portray in Girl Gvng, Shooting Star, Mascara. Even Babymonster are different irl than batter up. Granted, they dropped more pop sounds. But Yp Seems to maintain the roots of hip hop/rap and don’t seem to change up any time soon. Which I like. I can understand how polarizing Young Posse can look in this era of Kpop. But they are something fresh in the industry where they embrace the wacky, weird, and fun side of Kpop that not many groups do nowadays. They are not grounded in a concept but rather go outside the box and crank it up. They come across to me as kids who found a recording booth and decided to just make music. And that to me, is fun and interesting.
@@Huge_XG-Xpop_Stan @Huge_XG-Xpop_Stan I've watched XG 3 Meals a Day, XG and Go, all 8 episodes of the Xtra Xtra documentary, been tuning into their Days and Xtra vlogs series, and their predebut content. I have a solid understanding of what XG are like outside the music. the comparison to XG was in response to their comment of Young Posse possibly putting on a "costume" and if they are not as hip hop as they are in the music, it's fake. the implication to that statement would be that it takes away interest from the group and that it is detrimental to YP career. which to me, seems hypocritical considering you can apply that exact argument to all the idols they listen to. and XG, Imo, is a close comparison to YP as both groups rooted their sounds in hip hop and majority of their discography so far have been rap/hip hop centric. the very first video Ive seen of XG was the XGALZ Cypher and Shooting Star. my first impressions was that they were gonna be mostly badass and girl crush; which I then had the thought that their interviews and how they are outside the two songs might reflect that persona. Young Posse and XG are completely separate entities on-stage and off-stage..... just like every music artists. in their music, they give off badass, fun, and confidence to the point where it borderlines narcissism. however, they are practically opposite in that they are all goofy, smiles, and just overall adorably sweet. They don't have to reflect their on-screen personas which is another topic, because that brings up loss of self and blurring of the lines between your real self and stage self. which we have seen BTS, Jay Park, and even 2ne1 go through. Having a separate presence isn't as much of a negative as they (TRC) appear to make it out to be. Im a fan of music of all walks in the park. and that is the top priority I look for, the personality offstage is second. sometimes it's the reverse. if I like the personality, I'll enjoy the music more. A bunch of rappers and singers are different outside the music, that doesn't takeaway how good I find their music is and them as artists.

Anytime there is a kpop group (especially a GG) that does a hip hop concept I feel like there is always going to be a question of authenticity but from what I’ve seen so far they do seem to be genuine hip hop fans and they do write their own music. The songs they have put out so far have been ok but I do love their creative concepts and I think they will get better once the members mature a bit. I don’t love the XG and YP comparisons I see in the comments as I don’t really think their concepts are really that similar but I do think both are going to have to be aware of how they present themselves because the line between appropriation and appreciation is really thin.
I totally agree! XG and YP comparisons are getting out of hand. I have no clue how that even came about lol they’re so different. The only thing they have in common is that they do Hiphop. (Well XG is Hiphop/R&B but yea) 😂

after hearing the first reaction from the red hoodie i had to look at the comments to confirm and i was right, this was not gonna be an in-depth discussion lmaooo. i never really watched kpop reaction videos but i imagined it would be common to at least watch it twice to really understand and search about the production to really understand it more but ig we're here now. idc what anybody says i have been praying for a rap focused group in kpop that has some substance and xxl has been very satisfying. as a loona and dreamcatcher stan i instantly understand where theyre coming from. through the perceptive of a small company, its challenging to stay true to authenticity in an industry that plays a lot with privileges. there is unfair rigging involved, its not always a democracy for the best musical artistry. i had been searching for something original that makes me the way loona and dreamcatcher feel and im glad to find young posse.
This sampled the back track of Seo Taji & Boys’ Come Back Home, which is a good 90’s hip hop song imo. I thought the quirky 3D animation was the best part of the visuals. It was refreshing to see stuff animated in that way when we know they could have done it realistic. If you’ve ever seen Trailer Park Alien by Brandon Jamar Scott on yt, that’s what it reminded me of 😂. Young Posse’s songs for me are definitely growers. I don’t like them the first listen and imo they’re not for the aux cord with someone else in the car. Also mac n cheese pizza is divine. 😋
Havent liked any rap since Bigbang, but I like this. I don't see the "badass attitude" the guy in the middle mentioned, Young Posse is pretty light hearted and goofy. Their euro-punk outfits are cool but I haven't heard any "I'm so badass" fronting from them like you usually see from rappers. It's goofy and fun while having that hint of anti-idol culture which is cool. Jpop has a whole alternative anti-idol scene which is very unique, I'd like to see kpop get one aswell. This isn't close to being actual anti-idol stuff but it's hinting at being something alternative which I'd love to see blossom. I think it would be really cringe if they were mean-mugging their way through their MVs while trying to make their voices deeper and stuff in order to try and look gangster as 5'2 girls. But I generally find "im so badass" rap to be cringe in as a whole so what do I know. I'm pretty sure they do the writing, I know that the girl who was driving the car wrote macaroni cheese because she saw an add for it in class and then couldn't stop thinking about it, so it would make sense. Their company isn't exactly YG either which means that they probably take writing ability into account when they pick idols since they don't have superstar writers and producers on payroll ready to chemically cook up safe pop songs.
I mean, "I'm so badass, im better than you" is a very common hip thing, that almost everyone does no? As cringe as it is. YP didn't do that though. Not to mention, groups like blackpink do that all the time. In fact, that's 95% of all their 15 songs lol. But it's ok for them because... they also shake their booty? That's probably the double standard everyone's talking about.

I think XG is the wrong group to use to help your argument. XG does not put on an act in order to make their songs. Cocona’s deep tone/rap voice is just how she talks. Especially when she speaks English. Duality is different from acting and that is what XG has. You can tell it’s natural for them to make the music that they do. You may not have seen them enough on and off stage to know this about them so I understand why you would think that.
@@DarthMamba I have. And Cocona talks very proper, no slang, same with Jurin. I’m not saying it’s not genuine, but it is amped up more as an act on stage because that’s what the music is. I think with Posse, they are genuine, I’m a fan of, and I’m proud to say it loud hip hop rappers. They just happen to be Gen Z and Korean, so it sometimes comes off inauthentic, but I see the skill and I see the potential. That “baby Wu Tang Clan” line may be a bit much, but other than XG, there’s no real deal, legit new generation rappers like that coming from k pop (XG ain’t even k pop though). I like their sound, it just needs a lot of polishing but that’s the beauty of it. They’re not coming out the gate so damn perfect. They’re gonna grow and get better.

Okay I wanted to sit with something Dame said for a while before responding to it. You said something along the lines of not liking female idols who are really hard and badass in an MV but then all cute in interviews and stuff and that it then feels gimmicky and fake. Now there are confident women who don’t get flustered or embarrassed when being praised but these are for the most part teenage girls, doing something not typical of a female idol. Yea it’d be really cool to hold that confidence all the time but we tend to do that. Get flustered, shy and/or embarrassed. These members are mostly teenagers and that’s how teenager girls act but they can also have moments of being really cool. So I think it a weird stance to have when there are.. zero gangsters in kpop. No member of BTS or stray kids act all tough or gangster in interviews or in person. No one carries that persona outside their music. It’s their music that gives them that confidence but no one carries that into their interactions with people. It’s only once they’re free and out of contracts and able to do whatever they want OR they’re apart of the underground side of kpop that don’t get the same attention as regular idols, where they can really be themselves, whoever that may be. The guys act cute all the damn time in person 😂 practically every group does this so I don’t think it’s fair to fault female kpop rappers for something that the genre as a whole expects them to do and behave in public while under contract. It’s either okay for them to use the sounds of hiphop and appreciate hiphop culture without having to be of the LIFESTYLE that created hiphop or “acting like it” or it isn’t. I think it’d be more disrespectful to pretend to be someone from that lifestyle than to produce and appreciate the music that lifestyle gifted to the world. ALL LOVE, but that’s how I feel.

I have issue with the idea that because they are doing music of a certain genre that they have to ACT the part. I think that is a closed minded sentiment, and also slightly offensive, because it implies a toxic view of hip hop. It was said that if the music is hardcore/gangster and then you watch them in interviews and they’re acting like princesses it makes you look at them a way, and that’s not fair. We are aware of the culture in KPop, it’s very big on respect, and the cutsie stuff is a given…but music is a feeling, and to do this type of music it comes with a specific style. It doesn’t mean they aren’t authentic. I’ve heard them speak of artist from Wu-Tang to Favio, they write they’re own lyrics, they do honestly respect hip hop. And they touch other facets of hip hop on their EPs. (Listen to OTB) But this is KPop, so there’s a balance I think they have to pay attention to. I understand the criticism and not really knowing how to accept them, but I reject the implication that it’s an act just because they aren’t giving “Gangster” in the music and in real life. Big fan. Love the channel. Sorry for the rant. 😅
Funny we hate how Hip Hop has been stereotyped by the mass media but yet here we are trying our best to keep the stereotypes alive. We have issue when Candice Owens call it demonic and violent but yet are telling these girls they have to act “hard” if they are doing this type of music lol. I don’t understand. If they were writing lyrics of a life they know nothing about then I would agree. That shit is wack af. But I have seen or heard nothing from them that makes me think they’re wearing a “costume”.
@@michealdeangelo7452 well said. There are racial undertones here that I stayed away from in my first comment…I totally agree with your point. It’s very disheartening because YP is super talented and deserves some respect and recognition.
The hypocrisy in the "if it's just an act" is insane, because basically every gg ever has done more bad b/gangster comebacks - prime example is bp who only does that, but still act like "princesses" (your words) in interviews and their day to day life - and never have I heard them getting flak for "acting". I also have to point out that Young Posse themselves wrote this song, however XG barely has writing credits on anything but apparently that's only an issue if you dislike the song.
they actually have made reactions where they didn't "eat up" blackpink songs and before babymonster debuted, they weren't all that impressed until they saw more of the final product. and also bp and babymon don't make songs that sound like young posse. girl crush kpop is different than a regurgitation of 90s/00s rnb and hip hop. two different things. also... BANG BANG LIKED THE SONG 😭 but obviously you didn't watch the whole reaction
I feel like their sound is different and probably still finding themselves. The only thing I found weird about feed back is saying this is probably a costume and if they aren't acting hard in interviews and are nice and polite instead it's fake. XG are constantly nice and polite in interviews but when you watch Cyphers I feel they kind of dress the same but maybe I'm wrong.
I totally agree. I don’t like the XG/YP comparison because XG adopted the hip hop style later on after tippy toes and mascara. I love XG tho. lol. Just seems bias to criticize YP for a similar presentation.
I don’t know bout yp but with xg they are heavily inspired by black artists and they give homages and it’s genuine and they know this. yp came right out the gate with hip hop since they are just only hip hop I believe and they know nothing about the group besides their 2 mvs so I think that’s one of the reason and it’s their 1 st time reacting so people can change their mind. They were hesitant to give their thoughts tho. I believe if they know more about yp the outcome of this reaction would be different.
It’s an interview lmfao! Of course they’re gonna be polite as they don’t wanna give a bad impression. They’re also just naturally sweet hearts. How do you make claim “it’s fake” if you’ve obviously never watched them offstage lol!
I have to agree with the comments. The things y’all said are very hypocritical when y’all like groups like xg and black pink that do the exact same thing.
I really fk with Young Posse no lie lmao Their stuff is so out there visually in MV, but the music lowkey goes hard. We always talk about how there's Kpop rap, and then there's actual rap. Young Posse is shaping up to be actual rappers if they keep up releases like these. It's weird to be coming out of DSP such a hiphop focused group lmao YP and XG are what I hope becomes the new standard of rap for girl groups in kpop in the coming years.
@TRC Reacts, I did a lot of research on their company and these five young ladies and they are going for a hip-hop nostalgic 90s flavor. They came from a small company and they’re other group that’s from DSP media is K. A. R. D. Considered very underrated but very good coed group consisting of two girls and two boys. BM did a feature on one of their tracks on XXL album. BM said that these young women who are all under the age of 20 are breaking into a new barrier of girl K-pop groups they are stepping out of the norm of what you consider typical girl group music. I know that you are Big TWICE Once fans, and let’s just face the truth TWICE is your ultimate girl k-pop group. So if you are doing comparison to them to a very small group that is just debut late last year they’ve only been on the scene for six months they come from a very small company compared to JYP so you are going to not like it because you are familiar with a certain type of girl K-pop sound. That’s fine to not understand or like any of this song. Let’s just look at it this way they’re breaking out of this K-pop girl cutesy, nice, girly , feminine mold. That K-pop girl groups have known to have that type of style and persona. One thing I like about them is that they are definitely original they have a different concept unlike any other K-pop girl group they are concentrating mostly on old school hip-hop sounds which are making a comeback in K-pop especially in boy K-pop groups. There’s a lot of crossing over as far as the clothing as you can see they’re not considered girly or feminine but they’re pulling it off because they don’t wanna be set in that same style they do want to stand out I think that’s the idea. The stereotypes that girl groups do get what is expected of them in the K-pop industry they do not get other opportunities to break out of that same mold that has been going on for decades. It’s interesting to me that they want to have a fun old school hip-hop colorful music video. And we know that K-pop music videos are definitely different from American or western music videos they are extremely overwhelming colorful exciting and a lot to take in but I think that’s the point of while they are separated from the western music industry and K-pop industry. I’m going to stan these young ladies and see where they go . They may not keep the same concept over the years they might break out of it, and just remember there was a hip-hop boy group back in 2013 that came from a very small company,” BTS “and they did not keep that same concept even though they incorporate hip-hop into their music but majority of K-pop has rappers and vocalist and that’s the formula! BTS broke out of the 90’s early 2000’s hip-hop mold and taping into different genres and concepts and they are the top in the K-pop industry. We’ll see what happens with the next album if they continue or not but I still think it’s different new and fresh and it’s something that K-pop concepts are starting to embrace mostly the boy groups but I believe with XG that came onto the K-pop scene in 2022 they’ve kind of set a different concept on how girl groups should be identified as. Good luck to these young ladies hopefully their concept will grow into different avenues as they become older!
I think that you don't need to change genre to become best or good, keeping stay the same and improve more hiphop/rap skills, yeah BTS has changed but what you have seen, from 2018 they keep downfall, just full of meaningless mainstream pop music, that's my opinion.
@ThienyPham2738, I understand what you mean about BTS when they’re taking a slow dive from the hip-hop scene into more of a Pop scene you can definitely see the individuality of every seven members of BTS when they did their solo albums. They all are checking out different types of flavors of music because RM’s new album comes out May 24 Friday and I’m wondering what all the tracks are going to be like he was a underground rapper before he joined BTS a battle rapper and now he’s more of an indie pop kind of guy according to the new single that he just dropped it’s confusing! Give me a chance here to describe BTS music they’re just like through all the genres in a hat and each seven members picked out one and said this is what I’m going with right now for my solo Album. I don’t know what’s going to happen after the military service in 2025 when they’re all come back what is it that they’re going to do they’ve had a lot of controversial crap in the news right now with the CEO Min Hee Jin of ADOR , that crap storm of chaos of a news conference that she put out was just 2 1/2 hours of her cussing and defacing chairman Bang ! I know that there’s going to be a stockholders meeting on the 31st and she try to get an injunction to stop it because her determination by the company HYBE will terminate her contract and NewJeans will loose their” “Mother” (that is what she called herself at the News conference!) HYBE is bigger than the other three companies now there a conglomerate that have all these Subsidiary companies under their umbrella and ADOR ‘s CEO is trying to take over that company and sell it unbeknownst HYBE until it was put out in the open she only has 18% shares and. HYBE has 80% she Sold her 2% which was illegal you cannot sell your shares without offering the mother conglomerate HYBE label first if they don’t want it then you’re allowed to sell your shares but she has been doing a lot of underhanded things and people have been on her side because she was crying at the news conference and saying how big bully that HYBE is etc.!? She is the one who actually needs to be careful, HYBE labels is not messing around they have foot in Japan they have their foot in the United States music industry and they will take her down with no problem she is out of here and as far as her girls they’re not gonna be anywhere near popular and there was plagiarism on her staffs part there is a Mexican girl group from the 90s that absolutely looks identical to new jeans! A lot of shit going on at HYBE and BTS haven’t even come back yet so we don’t even know what’s gonna happen in the next year when all of them are discharged from the military what is gonna be their type of music who the hell knows what direction they’re going! I am An ARMY but there is so much that is going on right now I have to take a step back and just let things happen I’m not gonna defend anything I’m not going to jump on board with anything will find out when all the smoke clears💜
@@laurahilliker5336 anyways I hope that after BTS finish thẻir miliitary service next year, they would come back as a fully hiphop/rap band and completely seperate away from K-POP concept and molds, right now all members at least above or nearly 30 years old, they are really mature and imagine they come back then they still follow shitty meaningless pop music the same as from 2018 nahhh that's so boring in my opinion.
YP has my interest so I’m going to listen to more of their music just to see if they’re my cup of tea. I see ppl are comparing YP to XG already but with XG, I can tell they really appreciate hip hop culture…hell, Jurin even mentioned Big K.R.I.T. I just hope that YP appreciates hip hop culture as well.
We can all see how XG are different, yet to see enough of YP to decide yet personally. I think they should’ve had some black Americans involved with this production at the very least but they’re kids so I’m not going to hate unnecessarily
Anyone who really follows XG knows those 7 young queens live and breathe Hip-Hop / Rap/ R&B and have since they were young. This song by YP reminds me of 90s Cypress Hill / House of Pain even some Beastie Boys
I was waiting for their reaction for this MV. I'm kinda disappointed about how they react. Its kinda hypocrite as other groups are doing the same thing also. They are similar to XG in a way but they enjoyed them. They just didn't give young posse a chance. Watch them get big and switch their opinions all of a sudden.
Heavily disagree with a lot of your opinions. When it comes to performing genres that black people created I would rather have them alter it to fit them better rather than be culture vultures and perform in dreads and cornrows and act 'hard af' when they aren't, which also ties into my other point of it makes NO sense to like XG who have worn dreads, used fake accents, and are bigger proponents of cultural appropriation than Young Posse. Young Posse rap the same way they speak, they don't force out a fake accent, aren't wearing dreads, and are very talented despite being relatively young (14-19 years old rn). You also COMPLETELY missed the concept of this MV, and how they want to and dream to be XXL rookies, they aren't speaking shit about others and acting like 'gangsters' which is a GOOD thing considering that isn't who they are and if they were acting like 'gangsters' that would be cultural appropriation. I think you are a little hypocritical with your standards for girl groups that use Hip Hop as a base for their music. If you allow groups to only use Hip Hop when they have the 'attitude' and are 'hard enough' for it, then that only reinforces cultural appropriation and excludes people who want to build something new with the genre. Also, acting for this MV is no different than acting for other MVs with different genres or themes. Do you think every Kpop idol singing about being in love and wanting someone are actually single or genuinely craving love? Or those that act sad or sing about heartbreak aren't in serious relationships? Every idol acts, just like how IVE acted for Baddie, this is no different, and you had no issue then. For the costume or clothing argument, literally Black Pink and almost every group that has ever had a Hip Hop song wear the same things. A lot of your criticisms don't make sense. It's one thing to not like their music or songs or singing/rapping skills, that's completely subjective and fine, but to base your criticism on things you allowed other groups to get away with is hypocritical.
@@Official-OpenAI Critical thought is not your strong suit huh? I literally said it's fine to not like the music or singing/rapping skills, I just pointed out that if they base their dislike off things they allow other groups to do it's hypocritical. Also considering that a big portion of the other comments that are saying the same thing have way more likes than you do, I'd say more agree with that sentiment than any of yours. I also noticed you responded to a lot of comments calling out their hypocrisy and protecting their arguments under the guise that it's 'just music', are you a burner account or something?
You aren't the target market. Kpop fans who love 1st through 4th gen groups aren't the target market. Everything old (90's hip hop) is new again. They are looking for a huge international fan base by doing something that sells outside of kpop. They need to find that demographic fast. Because if they don't they won't last. None of the kpop groups are going to be offstage like they are on stage, so that is an unrealistic ask. That's just not Korean culture. Quiet and respectful and humble are mandatory. If you want loud and unapologetic, brash fake bravado, you have to stick with western artists. Young Posse are talented, they are indeed young and they are not trying to appeal to hardcore kpop fans. But time is not kind when you are trying something new, you need to strike gold or you fade away.
I don't know why those faces regarding the YOUNG POSSE video in general, it is clear that they disliked the concept and look, being Korean, when I heard the beginning of the song I immediately felt the vibe of Cypress Hill in combination with Beasties Boys in the way Sunhye and Doeun rap along with the chorus, but apart from that the animation reminded me of Californication by Red Hot Chilli Peppers. But apparently if it had been XG they would have even applauded them and commented better on the video, I love it!! both XG and now YOUNG POSSE, they are different groups.🌸
I think these guys are too over saturated with the mainstream stuff bevause im confused as to why y'all confused. It seem straightforward, their sound is clearly like a 90s rap so not really new but different from the stuff out here like. I'm surprised y'all didn't like this
@@Official-OpenAI i think he meant based on what these reactors liked in the past. Sure they don't have to like something just to please others but you are defending them like crazy lol.... Who hurt you? You are in almost every comment reply 😂
@@Official-OpenAI literally who traumatized you this bad ???? Like were you chastised for your music taste and now you think every comment is an attack??? That’s mental behavior
Meh I don't agree with you guys, I think the MV was amazing and the song is good. Everybody and their momma was screaming for quirky and fun kpop to make a comeback and when it finally does they complain about it. Anyway please react to UNIS- SuperWomen, they recently made their debut
When they first debuted they had some traction but there was A LOT of GREAT music last year and a lot of other new groups too. I personally think this is about their experience of experiencing some of that limelight but it being short lived. I think this is a declaration of what’s to come. XXL things. However… this MV is sooo chaotic 😂 I love the concept, but try watching their killpo performance video. I enjoyed it so much more myself.
First off about the “acting” “costume” comments you can say that about literally every other kpop group- like blackpink some of the stuff they say in their rap you know they’ve never actually done and yk Ive aren’t baddies like what?!? Why are yall just applying this when it comes to young posse? They write their own lyrics and they even say in interviews they know that they can’t represent hip hop but they love the music and culture. They are very respectful and don’t try to cosplay. You guys aren’t giving yp a proper chance. To me your opinion is very hypocritical how can you not say those things abt let’s say xg, bp, etc Anyway hopefully you guys give them another chance and the songs will grow on you and maybe do some research on them 🤍
I absolutely love this group. Listen to ROTY. You'll get some De La Soul and a sample of something I can't put my finger on, but good. A little observation: You all looked upset from jump. It seemed obvious you really didn't want to react to the video, but just did it because it was requested so much. I'm all for honesty in not really liking a song. But let's just put it this way, You had the attitude I would have if you made me react to a Mamamoo song. I don't hate Mamamoo...I'm just not a fan of their music. They're actually pretty cool people, but if you made me react to one of their songs, I would have that face y'all had throughout the video. With that being said, I'm a fan of you all, even if I don't agree with any of your criticisms here, and it's the first time that the opening of your video made me worry about you, I thought something just happened to y'all personally, like you just got 2 youtube strikes and you just got finished having a convo about it and started recording. Keep up the good work. Again, I am definitely a fan of your channel.
Hmm you guys gotta chill out, don't you remember that music is supposed to be fun, macaroni cheese and this song especially this song is very hip hop, it can be silly but that's how hip hop use to be sometimes, but i get it, not all of us like real hip hop
Guys you are wrong about young posse not being legit check out their album they are really good scars voice profile mv is so good please do a album reaction before pre judging them
kinda shocked at the hypocrisy here. y'all glaze tf out of groups like blackpink, nct, bts, xg, etc. despite their use of hip hop and black aesthetics. but suddenly here it's a problem? sorry but the complaints seem disingenuous lol
don’t gaf about this group but y’all being the same to hype up xg who are definitely culture vultures who don’t act like they do in their mv’s outside of the cameras 😭😭 ijbol

I gave the video a "like", because I think this was a fair opinion, and respect that. But the guy in the middle closing thoughts sounds like someone who started to react to Kpop yesterday. He should know by now what Kpop is about. Nothing is to be taken seriously. OF COURSE these teenage girls are cutesy outside their "tough" act. Even the Dreamcatcher girls are goofy as hell too off camera. They're pulling off a "concept". They're not trying to be the next Wu Tang Clan. But him/them not liking their music is fair. These reactors are right in that their style seems outside of "Kpop", more like...Khop? (lol), but that's what makes them unique, but yes, they won't be for everyone, just like Dreamcatcher wasn't/isn't.
Music is a art form does not belong to anyone, Though individuals create it, once released, it becomes a shared experience for all to appreciate, interpret, and enjoy, spanning cultures and generations. It seems hypocritical when people discuss culture yet only react to K-pop because they know it generates views and money.
You guys should look into Seotaiji and Boys. It sounds like they sampled one of their songs called Come Back Home. Seotaiji himself and the trio group Seotaiji and boys emerged in the early 90’s/early 2000’s. Not only did Seotaiji and Boys delve into the Hip-Hop world, but they also had many great Rock/Metal hits. I’m not for sure if they sampled it, but it sounded very very similar to the song. Y’all should give a look into it if y’all haven’t already, I think it would be enjoyable!
The beat reminds me of Seo Tahji & Boys “Come back home” (early 90’s), but the visuals are clearly 2024! I’m 36, and really love this video. It’s young, fresh and kinda wacky, like some Kpop groups used to be…like Orange Caramel, Crayon Pop, etc!
Personally think what the song and MV is portraying is the exaggeration of their dreams? Visualizing themselves as the next big thing, massive stars , "XXL". But as we see at the end of the MV, they get a reality check, like No, we not at that level yet.
That is correct Wei🎉
yep
Really? It seems more like them experiencing what it was like to be the talk of the town for just a moment and it being short lived. This sounds more like a declaration that they’re are bigger and better things to come. XXL things.
that's correct
i agree!!!!
“We really love and respect hip-hop and the culture. Although we know we can never fully represent the real hip-hop culture, we wanna be just playful and creative in a style that is unique to us." Sunhye (YOUNG POSSE) comments on her love and respect for the hip-hop movement.
spoken more respectfully and you can feel she actually loved hiphop compared to most khh rappers who are practically just culture vultures. young girl speaks really good deserves respect.
this mv was made in the style of early 2000s TV shows/commercials like CN/Adult swim.
@@enzozzne 💯 they have the right not to like a song you can’t like everything that’s common sense but the hypocrisy and double standard well that’s just flat out wrong no debate on that

@liberty9839, exactly I really like these reactors I think that they are pretty fair when it comes to their opinions but this time around I have to disagree on how they we’re a little stereotype on how K-pop girl group is supposed to be! way too many close-minded opinions, double standards, and hypocrisy in this reaction. really disappointed honestly. this comeback is meant to be fun and silly but you guys took it wayyyyy too seriously. it’s fine if you don’t care for it obviously art is subjective, but some of the things you guys had to say about the girls in particular were really unnecessary.
What was unnecessary?
Double standards? You’re just throwing words without any backup. Could you elaborate and tell exactly what are the parts and statements made by them that give away what you’re trying to imply?
@@tieAcherry101 double standards as in they praise other groups who “act” a certain way in mvs and on stage but then change to a respectful and mellow manner during interviews and off-stage content. xg is an example of this, and there are so many others that could have the same be said for them. they use that as a form of critique as if they don’t react positively to so many other groups who do the same thing. not to mention these guys know absolutely nothing about these girls
@@takeberries if not buying one person’s acting in an mv is called double standards, then what is the point of art being subjective to you? It has nothing to do with off-stage presence, they never said that, they said their presence and acting wasn’t believable. They didn’t attack the members or made rude comments, they simply didn’t buy the concept.
I find it odd that you kpop fans have to get everyone to like your songs. We can see potential in something without fully liking it, in art more specifically. They’ve done exactly that. They didn’t discredit the groups’ working progress, they discredited their personas on camera (and if they did attack the girls’ livings you can mark the timestamps in your response, since I’m interested if your accusations hold truth.)
These girls may like hiphop and try to portray this style fully, but they’re just not giving it on screen for them. And that’s fine. Not to mention the group’s continues flirting with double meanings and innuendos in their lyrics while being minors, but you’re just more invested in critiquing the people that originated this style as a form of mechanism against repression and have every right to like or dislike (without offending) the byproducts of their history.
i come to expect that reaction videos are to see if people enjoy the song not if the group/song conforms to kpop standards. 🤷

This is more Hip Hop than KPOP. I do not like KPOP but been vibing with this song. I also don't see them trying to portray themselves as "gangster" one bit. @@hailsy04209they absolutely do have those personalities and those of us that have done our research know that - like the guys on this channel.
Pls don’t bring XG into this lol! At least get to know them before assuming they’re different offstage.

the comparison to XG was in response to their comment of Young Posse possibly putting on a "costume" and if they are not as hip hop as they are in the music, it's fake. the implication to that statement would be that it takes away interest from the group and that it is detrimental to YP career. which to me, seems hypocritical considering you can apply that exact argument to all the idols they listen to. and XG, Imo, is a close comparison to YP as both groups rooted their sounds in hip hop and majority of their discography so far have been rap/hip hop centric.
the very first video Ive seen of XG was the XGALZ Cypher and Shooting Star. my first impressions was that they were gonna be mostly badass and girl crush; which I then had the thought that their interviews and how they are outside the two songs might reflect that persona.

Yall don’t know what 90s hip hop is? This was straight out of a mixtape from the 90s sound wise.
Also the comment about them “acting”
Does XG not do the same?? Cocona talks nothing like what she raps like..but I’ve never heard y’all say anything about that
I think XG is the wrong group to use to help your argument.

If anyone in BTS or ANY GROUP was from a REAL gangster background with REAL gangster experiences, they’d all be cancelled cuz that’s NOT KPOP.
People get cancelled for NOT bullying and get no apologies and your upset just cuz I said their name 😩 it’s sad beyond belief

The hypocrisy in the "if it's just an act" is insane, because basically every gg ever has done more bad b/gangster comebacks - prime example is bp who only does that, but still act like "princesses" (your words) in interviews and their day to day life - and never have I heard them getting flak for "acting".
I also have to point out that Young Posse themselves wrote this song, however XG barely has writing credits on anything but apparently that's only an issue if you dislike the song.
idky but the 3 dots got me a li scared 😭
yall know for a fact that if it was xg, babymon, blackpink, or any big group made this exact same song they would be eating it up.. like bffr 🤣🤣

@zatiey00 literally like they just make no sense, just say you don't like the song don't make up shitty excuses
they actually have made reactions where they didn't "eat up" blackpink songs and before babymonster debuted, they weren't all that impressed until they saw more
of the final product. and also bp and babymon don't make songs that sound like young posse. girl crush kpop is different than a regurgitation of 90s/00s rnb and hip hop. two different things. also... BANG BANG LIKED THE SONG 😭 but obviously you didn't watch the whole reaction

The only thing I found weird about feed back is saying this is probably a costume and if they aren't acting hard in interviews and are nice and polite instead it's fake. XG are constantly nice and polite in interviews but when you watch Cyphers I feel they kind of dress the same but maybe I'm wrong.
Yes they do dress in street fashion but come off as very sweet girls in real life. Seems pretty hypocritical by them.
@@knellsdosa9775that’s incorrect. XG was always a hip hop and r&b based group from the jump. That was the plan when the group was being formed.
💯
I know that there’s going to be a stockholders meeting on the 31st and she try to get an injunction to stop it because her determination by the company HYBE will terminate her contract and NewJeans will loose their” “Mother” (that is what she called herself at the News conference!)
HYBE is bigger than the other three companies now there a conglomerate that have all these Subsidiary companies under their umbrella and ADOR ‘s CEO is trying to take over that company and sell it unbeknownst HYBE until it was put out in the open she only has 18% shares and.

I was waiting for their reaction for this MV. I'm kinda disappointed about how they react. Its kinda hypocrite as other groups are doing the same thing also. They are not anywhere near similar lol! The only thing similar is that they make Hiphop.
Youngposse are doing amazing music that only she can go to. This year's rookie of the year will be Youngposse
Dream on. Lol
It's one thing to not like their music or songs or singing/rapping skills, that's completely subjective and fine, but to base your criticism on things you allowed other groups to get away with is hypocritical.

nah, one thing is being sincere and another thing is being negative because a girlgroup didn't act cute like you expected.

YOUNG POSSE's 'XXL' MV looks cool. The song sounds amazing. What a track !
