I still remember getting my ps3 on my birthday in 2007, using mostly my own money at the time. I just turned 23 and remember seeing my best friend playing his a few months earlier and HAD to get one. This was at the beginning of the affordable hdtv flat screen era (affordable meaning $400 for a 27 inch flat screen) and something called an HDMI??? I still remember not knowing what an hdmi was or how to use it, funny thinking about that today. People may look down on it compared to the beast ps2 console but the ps3 was the first “true high definition” console and used these things called blu rays. I guess the nostalgia of this console is what makes it so special for me. I was in my early 20s, no wife, no kids, had a steady job working for the ballpark and had exposable income due to the sad fact of me still living with my parents. So all I did was work and play on my ps3, with no other worries in the world. Good Times!!

I miss the PS3 era :/
its still alive!
This was a solid video! I’d love to see more like the last big games on PS3
I wish I had a friend like Terell. All my friends doesn’t care for gaming at all.
I like this idea it’s interesting and the vibes 100%. Please do a PlayStation 1 and PS2
Me too all my friends don't even know any games

Very wholesome video ! thank you both !!
Thanks for this Ryan. Any chance you could do a "Best graphics of the PS3" and judge whether you think they still hold up?
Killzone 3, Last of us, Dirt 3, Terraria and Mirror's edge are the ps3's best graphics and still hold up
@@IIIISai Terraria????
This is my favorite console. I had a XBOX 360 to but once Uncharted Drake’s Fortune was released I started to go with PlayStation more. My 360 red ringing also helped, I played my PS3 and really never went back to XBOX other than for exclusives.
Resistance fall of man easily the multiplayer was so fun as a kid
4 player split screen🥲
I have the Blast Factor avatar since the day I got my PS3 back in 2011, now I have the PS5 and still rockin' it, love it
The PS3 was weak at first but got more stellar over the years. I have to say the PS4 had a slightly better library. PS1/PS2 will always be the best in my opinion.
What as if the PS4 had a better library than the 3
@@georgebrown8493 It does but we will forever agree to disagree. Have a good day.
@@etherealdreamerart PS3 objectively has a higher amount of exclusives and has more diversity but PS4 had good games. Spider-Man alone is worth the PS4.
PS1/PS2 are incredible though.
@@etherealdreamerart it’s not agree to disagree it’s a fact the PS3s library was superior due to the developers at the time and the variety of games.
@@georgebrown8493 Don't care. Agree to disagree. Good day
Terell is Awesome! We need more videos with him. Great video Ryan
I'll always love the resistance series I wish sony would remaster them or make new ones.
FYI Rsistance fall of man multiplayer is back online on PSONE servers by just using their DNS.
Nice travel back in time to see launch games for PS3!
I love Dark Kingdom Untold Legends. Wish they would make a new one. I also loved Tony Hawks project 8. I thought heavenly sword was a launch title too…? I remember it was my first ps3 game I owned and I got the system at launch too…
I was blessed to be gifted a 20GB launch model for my birthday in July 2007. I immediately picked up Resistance and Ridge Racer 7. I recently replayed both of them and they hold up extremely well!
If I’d had a choice back then, I probably would’ve picked up a PS3.
I think we all already loved mystics channel but this friendship is so wholesome to see to friends that to the eye you wouldn't really think have much in common but thats that magic of games ,you can tell they been friends for years tho good chemistry :)
“Reviewing ps vita launch games with my best friend” maybeeee? 🤔🤔
I remember getting the ps3 day one. That jump from ps2 to ps3 graphics will never be replicated ever again. I remember resistance, heavenly sword, motorstorm, gta IV, R&C & enslaved been some of my favourite
I hate how PlayStation put many ps3 Ips in the trash when ps4 released. Since you can't play ps3 games on ps4
This could be a really cool series for y’all two good job
I had had PS1 and PS2 but when this released there were no games I wanted, so even considered a Xbox 360 (but also shit games). I waited a few months then The Last Guardian was announced as being in production. I bought a PS3 the very next day, but Last Guardian never came out on PS3, but I never regretted it as there was a lot more games for my taste on Playstation than 360.
what about perfect dark zero
Metal Jesus and Radical Reggie look so young in this 2006 PS3 Launch Games Review vid!
I know you’re joking, but when I first saw the thumbnail, I was thinking “wait, Mystic knows Reggie, pretty cool huh, let’s see... wait, that’s not him”. 🤣
I didn't realise carbon was a release title, it's easily in the top 3 release games imo, graphics looked great, cars customizations were awesome and it played very well. Only problem I had with it is that I played a lot of NFS on the ps2 so I was a bit disappointed by soem things in carbon but if you've never played any NFS games before that game easily was one of the best at the time
man what a great video. super nostalgic. reminds me of when i was 13 with my best friend when we first got the ps3. cant wait to watch more of your vids
2006 was my first year of college, The Office was flying high in its 2nd or 3rd season, and the PS3 was as much as a Rolex, what a time to be alive.
Should do this for all PlayStation's! great video as always
