2:16 The Gasometers in Vienna are four former gas tanks, each of 90,000 m³ storage capacity, built as part of the Vienna municipal gas works Gaswerk Simmering in 1896-1899. They are located in the 11th district, Simmering. They were used from 1899 to 1984 as gas storage tanks. Coal gas was dry-distilled from coal and was stored in these containers before it was distributed into the city gas network. The "town gas" was originally used only by the street lamps, but in 1910, its use for cooking and heating in private homes was introduced. After the changeover from town gas to natural gas between 1969 and 1978, they were no longer used and were shut down. Only the brick exterior front walls were preserved. The structures have found new residential and commercial use in modern times.
2:16 Die Gasometer in Wien-Simmering sind vier in der Fassade erhaltene, ehemalige Gasbehälter aus dem Jahr 1896. Sie wurden in einem umfangreichen Umbau von 1999 bis 2001 revitalisiert und weisen nun ein Entertainmentcenter, etliche Wohnungen, ein Studentenheim und eine Veranstaltungshalle auf. Die Gasometer waren ein Teil des Gaswerk Simmering, um Versorgungsschwankungen im Wiener Gasnetz auszugleichen. Sie waren technisch als Niederdruckspeicher für das aus Kohle gewonnene Stadtgas ausgeführt. Das Gaswerk Simmering war neben dem Gaswerk Leopoldau eines von zwei städtischen Gaswerken um die Jahrhundertwende. Ursprünglich waren es 6 Gasbehälter. Einer davon war ein sogenannter Schrauben-Gasbehälter.
Die feierliche Eröffnung des Gaswerks samt Weihe aller Objekte durch Weihbischof Johann Baptist Schneider fand am 31. Oktober 1899 statt, um Mitternacht dieses Tages nahm das Werk seinen Betrieb auf und beleuchtete die Laternen auf der Ringstraße erstmals mittels Gas.
Die Gebäude gelten schon seit jeher als Wahrzeichen des 11. Wiener Gemeindebezirks Simmering, da sie aufgrund ihrer Größe bereits von Weitem zu sehen sind. Das Gaswerk Simmering mit den Gasometern war von 1899 bis 1975 in Betrieb. Seit der Revitalisierung zählen auch Touristen aus allen Teilen der Welt und Architekturexperten zu den Besuchern der Gasometer.

The decision to establish a technical museum was made in 1908, and construction of the building started in 1909. On June 20, 1909, Emperor Franz Josef laid the foundation stone. The museum was opened in 1918.
The permanent exhibition categories include: Nature and Knowledge: astronomy, principals, physics; Heavy industry: mining, iron, steel; Energy; Mass production - luxury goods; Everyday life - directions for use; Communications and information media; Musical instruments; Transport; Basic Research - A great adventure.
4:15 Das Technische Museum Wien (kurz TMW) befindet sich an der Adresse Mariahilfer Straße 212 im 14. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Penzing. Am 20. Juni 1909 legte Kaiser Franz Josef den Grundstein. Das Museum wurde 1918 eröffnet. Es zeigt Exponate und Modelle aus der Geschichte der Technik unter besonderer Berücksichtigung des österreichischen Anteils an der technologischen Entwicklung. Es verfügt über zahlreiche, zum Teil recht große historische Demonstrationsmodelle, etwa aus dem Bereich der Eisenbahn, des Schiffbaus, der Luftfahrt und der Industrie. Herausragend sind dabei die funktionsfähigen Dampfmaschinen. Weiters ist im TMW eine der größten Sammlungen historischer Musikinstrumente in Österreich untergebracht. Dem Museum angegliedert ist die Österreichische Mediathek.

The comfort of the autumn sun was destroyed by a big earthquake at midnight on the 7th last week. Fortunately after the Olympics, many Japanese seem to recall the horror of 10 years ago. Two days ago, the Japanese government lifted the state of emergency and shifted to economic stability, which reduced my workload and reunited under the guidance of God.
This wonderful landscape was the ultimate healing video to save patients from the edge of the bed. It's the love support that patients are familiar with, and that you are focusing on them. I am deeply moved by the fact that I finally got my own house from Dr. Sawako during my stay in Japan, and I am full of gratitude and respect. Truly beautiful - gee - can't believe we had covid lockdowns not long ago. In Melbourne, we had a total of 6 lockdowns from 2020 - 2022. It now feels like it was a dream/nightmare.

@@Ricco3Dworld so probiert man sich durch die maßnahmen und keine hilft !! son ärger aber auch ! läden sollten aber offen bleiben komme was will !! und wenn impfen was hilft sollte man nicht lange herumeiern damit !!! kostet alles zuviel geld was wir nicht habewn bei dem schuldenberg . wo solln die steuern herkommen ?

Thank you for inviting me to a wonderful museum. From architectural remains to daily home appliances, scooters and automobiles, housewives and patients in the pediatric ward were surprised and compiled the times. It was after the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo that Japan became popular in ordinary households with TVs and home appliances. Unfortunately, 80% of the Japanese people want to cancel the postponed 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Last night, the Japanese government urgently announced a shocking government-sponsored travel ban and restrictions on the use of restaurants (December 28-January 11), exposing the public with anxiety and shock. The future is being considered, but things are getting worse. I want to be healed and enjoy a moment of peace with this wonderful video. I pray for an early recovery and thank my friends in Vienna for their and ale. Thank you so very much.

Vienna is a fabulous city my friend, and you covered it brilliantly with this video. My only regret is, it's too many years since I visited your beautiful city in person. (In the past 10 years I have been living in Japan and Thailand, and have only visited Europe 4 x 1 week totally)
It was also interesting to see the Chinese style garden, it looks very similar to one I visited in Okinawa.

We are in the same difficult situation in Japan as in our home country UK, and it is in a crisis situation where doctors and professors who should be instructed by nurses are forced to go to the clinical site due to lack of manpower. The Japanese government recognizes that the rescheduled "State of emergency" was issued by the Prime Minister on the 7th of this week, which is severe with penalties. The situation is such that the hosting of the Olympic Games is in jeopardy as to what will happen in the future as immigration from overseas is prohibited. However, only within this channel is the cornerstone of peace and cooperation.
On January 1st, I watched the Vienna New Year's Concert live. The graceful dance of the magnificent Wiener Musikverein Grand Hall gave a moment of peace to the world and counteracted all sorrow and suffering. We applaud the great artists of Vienna and pray for the early recovery of Mrs. Elizabeth. God bless you!!!

Thank you for your peace of mind when the world is panting in a pandemic storm. Japan also entered the highest risk level in all situations with COVID-19 yesterday, and December, when people's movements were at their highest level of the year, was the end of the horror year. There is no shortage of beds and medical equipment, but there is no way to make up for the lack of manpower. Doctors and nurse license holders have returned to work from other professions and have been driven by duty and a sense of mission to support with military hospitals, but the capital Tokyo has already reached its limit and will not send any more patients. I have no choice but to pray for that.
