Isabella Lamb they didn’t harmonise. they sang at the same octave, his voice is just sounds slightly deeper by nature but he did a great job of hitting the high notes.
Isabella Lamb they did harmonize though. If you listen carefully, IU does the harmony in the beginning of the chorus and he harmonizes a little the second half of the chorus.
tsukidayo _ I don’t think you understand what a harmony is. Harmonising is when they sing the same thing with the same notes at different octaves. They were at the same octave. It would be pretty hard for this kid to be able to go an octave below this before his voice breaks.

So IU is usually a soprano singer but because this kid has a voice that would suit soprano more than alto, she harmonized as the alto voice while singing together
in 1:55 she was singing together with him (in low note while he was in high note) but when her solo part came up, she quickly switched back to a higher tone.
Do you know how difficult that is!!!!! It's so easy to get that wrong because you literally have to have the notes memorized in order to get it perfectly correct. But IU is so fkn incredibly talented and more than that, trained and worked hard that it's not even a big deal for her.
Really? Or that kid sings lower when 1:54 starts. At first Ji Eun lowers her voice but when the second part of the chorus Ji Eun sings in her real tone. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I like IU. But as a singer, it's not hard to switch from a harmony to the original key lol. And it being her own song which she's probably sung countless times it will be easy for her.

Yu Huiyeol's Sketchbook is one of the best shows in Korea because there's no autotune or audio engineers--just genine singing. You actually get to hear what the artists sound like! IU's natural voice is second to none.
Actually some performance in Sketchbook does use autotune. Like in Red Velvet, Twice, etc.
idols use it, tho.

but TBH this new era of kpop industry they cannot sing now without autone. but what i love about iu is she really sings well without autotune. (correct me if im wrong, but ive never seen nor heard in the news that she used autotune) She really has this kind of magic that you will literally keep on listening to her and just keep enjoying her heartfelt voice. I just love her in all ways. ❤
Oddly enough they ALWAYS run some FX on her vocal, some autotune and distortion, but it sucks, they should just let her sing natural
