*Disclaimer*
This is a concept. The lay out will be close to this, but it can change a bit, since I dont have a inside source. All rights goes to Cedar Fair and Zamperla!
After Steel Vengeance and Wildmouse, Cedar Point will re-open the re-inmagned Top Thrill Dragster in 2024. Based on all the footage from youtube, I made a very accurate concept. This concept is based on all the footers and the concrete shaped for the footers, which shows almost the entire lay out. Hopefully, its accurate with the Layout that will be revealed on the 1st of august by Cedar Fair.

Following the leaks, It will looks like this! What do you think of the 420ft tall spike?
Disappointed if it’s true
There is a bit chance that it is true, due to the fact that on the website, there was even a making of video and only zamperla can make that
I really wish it was 500+ ft for a spike. I've seen the footers irl and my family too. A lot of my family is in construction and things of that sort so most of them say it's entirely possible to have a 500ft spike but 420 will do ig
@@AJ8664 how? I am excited.
I think that’s the right decision to make it the same height as the tower. Dragster is so iconic to Cedar Point’s skyline having a spike sticking up passed it would just look odd. And a shorter spike would just be underwhelming.
This might be the closest recreation
Thanks man! Its based on the leaks, so of the leak is true, this will be the pov
we’ll see tomorrow
Except for the trees 😂
Yeah, that is to give the area some color
thats a lot of airtime, should be very fun!
Yeah, I am pretty sure it will be a funny ride
The lack of an Airtime hill feels like a missed opportunity.
Also, the spike should have a twist.
I agree with the airtime hill on the launch, but I dont think that we will miss a twist in the spike. 6 seconds of zero-g will be insane without a twist as well
The airtime on the spike will be a highlight. Do we know for sure there is no airtime hill on the launch? Maybe it is too fast for one.
It seems like an unbelievable amount of straight track for the first and second launches at those speeds - not having something like an airtime hill to break that up is concerning
I've been on Toutatis, let me tell you that spike doesn't need ANYTHING
Yeah, spikes are always awesome
Idk how I knew it, but I just knew it would have an intamin-like transfer track! The only problem I have with the ride is how short the rollback is, but everything else looks great.
yeah, the first launch is weaker than I thought it would be!
@@Casper.CoasterCreator Same, oh well, won’t be the end of the world, I guess.
for sure not, because the backwards launch will be even stronger and more epic!
For sure going 100mph backwards is going to be crazy
@@Casper.CoasterCreatornah, launches are more intense doing them from a stop than moving, you're really not going to feel it much
The 74 mph first launch is SO lame. Rollbacks were dope because you were falling backwards for so long, this is barely a rollback 😂
Yeah, I thought that the 1st launch would be faster but....it isnt
People are underestimating how epic that weightless drop on the spike is gonna be. And then at the bottom how long you are going to be at 100+ MPH.
Who tf cares about the first launch? Those 2 following moments are what will make this unique.
Exactly! Everything after the 1st launch will be awesome!
This is a dramatic upgrade
Why? After the 1st launch, it will only get better!
People know exactly what it will be like. They are building a clone of Superman the Escape into the ride.
The original 120mph launch is what made this ride so unique.
This is about to be a big fat straight track yawn-fest compared to what it was. Sure, the weightless feeling at the apex of the spike will be nice, but that straight track... Yikes. Should have gone with a drawn-out airtime hill with the launch. Intamin can do vertical LSMs, too. Would have been a nice punch of forces heading up the top hat while continuing to accelerate. I hope I'm wrong and this turns out to be better than the direction it's currently looking like.
Yeah, I agree that Intamin would have done it even better
@@Casper.CoasterCreatorintamin figured out punchy lsm’s somehow with Sandy’s it would’ve been cool to have only 2 launches with a punchy backwards launch to like 90ish then a forwards launch to 120
Yeah, thats so true!
Wow you even created the entire Cedar Point
Not the entire ceaderpoint, but I tried to place all the near coasters as good as I can
that 2nd launch will be NUTS
Yeah, that will be the best backwards launch ever!
This is what to expect May 2024
Hopefully!
the fact that this is EXACTLY what its going to look like (besides the color scheme) is crazy!
Thanks man! I am really happy that it turned out to be this close to the original
Ik this would still be a thrill purely based on the speed factor, but the launches make it look like a very dull ride
Yeah, only the backwards launch will be 1g, all the rest around 0.5 and 0.7
@@Casper.CoasterCreator hopefully the initial kick of the first on the actual ride will make up for the first a little bit
The 74mph first launch is a joke. You get only halfway up the tophat. That’s not really a rollback. It is, but not what we think of. I’m very disappointed with that
I have looked from the side, its not even the half 😅
HOWEVER the 74mph first launch allows the second backwards launch to be more powerful
Yeah, thats the big positive side!
The launches look so weak compared to the original, but overall I like the layout! I feel like if they’re doing a swing launch they should’ve shortened the launch track and put the station closer to the middle-back of the old launch.
Who knows, maybe they're still doing that with the massive excavation in the infield...sure hope so, because I think the launch is the most important part
Man, I just wish the first launch was faster. 0-70 is a lot less of a punch than 0-100+
Yeah, I agree!
Here's hoping the leak was not totally accurate. The roll-back first launch feels so.... tame.
It doenst only feel like that, it is lame...but the 2nd launch would be awesome!
If this is the actual rollback experience then it will be pretty underwhelming. Such a shame.
The 1st launch would be, be the rest of the ride will be awesome
@@Casper.CoasterCreator it’s just a bit of a shame really. I hope the launch will take you further up the spike. Will see.
A couple things. One, the rollback was a wanted thing because it meant you got two launches for the price of one. Nobody cares about going backwards. Two, why does everyone think the leak is legit but discredit the name? Three, the official announcement is tomorrow so why does everyone insist on a given design? It's like counting chickens before they hatch.
Sorry, but a lot of People are hyped because of the backwards launch and spike
very disapointing if true
Where are you disappointing about?
Its true .....
The first launch will probably be a rolling one. No stop before
I agree... Don't need to connect to the hydraulic system... Which will keep things moving and help with capacity
Yeah, I agree. Its made a bit fast...it will be a rolling start with a high speed switch
If that’s 74mph on the initial launch, I don’t want it 😂
then don't ride it 😂
Yeah, the first launch will be 74mph
....and here comes 700 riders per hour capacity.
Thanks to a load and unload station + the preshow, the capacity is quite good
Eh, even if it only has three trains where Dragster usually ran 4 this will still be pretty close since it will be able to launch more frequently and has an unload station.
@@DokiKimori i think it will be a bit higher, due to the fast speed switch and maybe a rolling launch as well
@@Casper.CoasterCreator with a rolling launch, assuming station to last car over the top hat is
Thanks for the calculation work!
It's still silly to drop 420 ft. after the top hat to go into a brake run. What a big waste of energy!
At least we get now a 6 seconds during spike, 3 launched and tophat ;)
It’s definitely possible that the launches will be stronger if the launch doesn’t take the entire length of the track, i.e. it could launch to 74 mph in 1/2 or 2/3 of the length of the boosters and then sustain that speed for the rest of the straight. At least I hope so 🫣
If not on Dragster 2, I guess we could just walk over to Maverick and get a 0-70 LSM launch in half the distance lol
Yeah, and if not, the backwards launch will be awesome
Just a small suggestion but you should turn the bottom of the spike into four beam track because 2 beam track is only to save money on areas with smaller amounts of forces, but the bottom of the spike has many forces. I would make four or three beam. But for is more realistic because there is no 3 beam track on site
So far on the doc that was leaked, I saw 2 tube, but 4 tube irl will indeed be the most realistic! Thanks for noticing it!
For me this would be sad. I need it to get to almost the top of the top hat for a rollback to make me really interested.
Yeah, I get what you're saying, but i am afraid it will not happen...
probably won't stop completely before the first launch to make dispatches quicker, especially with the fast switch track
Yeah, that is what I was thinking as well
Need the WHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR sound on the LSMs so I know the ride is going fast lol
Yeah, it was recorded fast....the next LSM coaster, you will hear the WWHHHRRRRRR again ;)
I only hope that the reverse spike gets a added twist to it, if not its still cool but would be nice if it was twisted.
Sorry man, Zamperla names it a vertical, 90 degrees spike, so bo twist
We have known it was a straight spike for a while. You need the 2 footers in the front not back of the triangle for a twist. You cannot go up in between the supports if the support is in your way.
I hope they do more black and red track + a shit ton of theming and sounds. I’m so mad the name Polaris won’t be used. I thought it fit in so perfect with the new magnetic system.
Yeah, the name would have been great for the ride!
@@Casper.CoasterCreator something about “Top Thrill 2” just doesn’t sit right with me. They’ll definitely do something better.
Great job on recreating this based upon the leak! ..however, it is very disappointing to see. The rollback is pathetic if true. Hopefully the leak was disinformation, but that seems unlikely.
I agree, I hope the first launch will be faster and more powerfull
Is there a reason why there is a full stop before the first launch? I suppose it's to be sure the switch track is in position, yes? Seems like there is plenty of time to just keep things moving... and use the LSM to halt it (at a measly 74mph) in case of a switch failure. The full stop ruins any kind of pacing.
Yeah, there will likely not be a stop, it is done ingame to let the transfer switch, but irl, they will use a high speed switch
Mack couldn’t dream of having a launch that weak
Lucky, the 2nd launch will be a lot faster
Nice estimate! I don't think the train will pause after entering the main track, it will just go.
Zamperla leaked some stats so now we pretty much know.
I agree that it will likely be a rolling launch. That will also help with the capacity
I feel like its just missing something, its wild asf dont get me wrong but a g-roll at the end or something would send me
A g roll wouldnt be possible due to the needed room for braking, an airtime on the launch would be possible
On this concept video... what is the height of the rear car on the spike... compared to the advertised 420' height? 350?... 375?
The rear car, aka the back car goes to 415ft, but thats the simulator its physics...it assume it will be somewhere between 375 and 400 irl
Nice job on the creation. The first launch/rollback is disappointing and the spike not being a record height is a head scratcher, but it should be fun from the 2nd launch on.
Yeah, the second launch, a strong backwards one followed by the spike will be a lot of fun!
I timed the zero G on the spike, and it's about six seconds.
Best floater on earth, possibly the best new coaster too!!!
Yeah, thats really awesome right!?
It's missing one element the dipp n dots guy at the end
Yeah, this one was made really fast, just to release the pov as fast as possible, but thats indeed a tasty detail!
So many TTD videos
I know every coaster channel is biting. No CoasterStudios yet though
@@nathanielthomas2502 I meant on this channel but yeah
It were 2 concept, one prediction and 1 leak, but yeah, its quite a lot
This is dot on what it’ll be
I’m calling it
We will see
ding ding!
Subbed to get you closer to 1k.
I reached the 1k, thanks man! ❤️
THE BEST!!! ;)
Maybe Falcons flight will take over that name
Great job on the pov! Low key this looks boring as could be. Not your fault though 😂
Xd, thanks man!
Well done
Thanks man! Hopefully you will enjoy the ride!
I wonder if an unintentional rollback could be possible after the 3rd launch
That just means moar ride
Ofcourse, If the LSM fails, it could happen
Imagine they do this to Kingda Ka
Kingda 2...with a 450ft spike.....not bad!
I would be so angry if they replaced Kingda Ka's hydraulic launch with these weak ass LSMs...
If the could combine the hydraulic launch for the first launch, than a roll back and than a re trackable LSM for the boost...that wouldnt be bad!
Did you program in the launch speeds from the leak? Is that how high we should expect it to go? Not sure how the program works tbh
Yeah, Its around the speed of the first launch (made it a bit Quick so everyone can experience the pov), the 2nd and 3th launch are very accurate!
Reminds me of wicked twister
Wicked twister will look proudly from the coaster heaven
It's a shame the momentum after the hill gets just wasted.
Yeah, a bit. On the other hand, if you make the ride longer, that will kill the capacity
@@Casper.CoasterCreator interesting, I haven't thought about that. I wonder, if you couldn't solve this with block segments (not sure about the exact term).
That could be possible, but than you would to redesign the entire lay out, because after you cross a brake, thats where a new block sections begins...and in case of an emergency stop, the train needs to be able to complete the circuit from the point as well. So it is possible, but it is very difficult
And the new name shall be No Thrill Dragster.
No man, the spike and tophat will still be awesome!
Is it coming in 2025 7th comment ever
No, it will open in 2024
top thill 2 is rollback
Where did you get that map layout of CP?
I made the lay out myself in FVD++, after I ones the park overlay during a collab
I’m curious, how far does it make it up the spike?
based on the speed i think about 320 feet
@@colehagelberger8326nah, based on the math it would be over 350ft
Considering millennium force goes 93 off of a 300 ft drop and also looking at where dragster gets to on the tower, I’d say it’s about 200-250. Raging bull at great America is 200ft, and it goes 73 mph. So I really don’t expect much more than that, which is super disappointing
It makes it up till about 415ft (the backtrain)
@@Casper.CoasterCreator No way would "they" cut it that close. Nope. 5 FEET??? Ain't happening.
Nice animation but that first roll back is just pathetic. I know this is based off the latest zamperla website leak so really hoping that first mph is wrong.
Yeah, I hope it will be 92 mph instead of 72mph as well
@@Casper.CoasterCreator anything on that initial launch that makes the overall ride take longer will lower the RPH, if you LSM out of the station at 92mph what's the time from launch to last car over the top hat? if it's >60 seconds it seems unlikely.
What? If the launch is faster, than should the ride time be shorter, which is good for the capacity
If it was a launch out and over the top hat sure, but in a launch and rollback the speed increase means your train is spending more time going up the top hat (to bleed off the kinetic energy). It's not a linear time increate, but every second counts.
Yeah, ofcourse! Good point tho
did zamperla confirm if the LSMS will be strong idk what strong LSMS are called but did he be specific about what type of LSMS it would be?
The LSM can be setted up to different strenghts. This will reach a max of 1g during the acceleration
@@Casper.CoasterCreator are those LSMS strong I dont know a lot about G forces really.
The first one isnt. That is about the same as a family launch coaster. The 2nd and 3th launch are simaler to the launch of Velocicoaster and Taron
@@Casper.CoasterCreator will it make your face melt atleast
Yeah, the launch will still be nice!
how do i log in to NLM2 i have the demo and the real btw im a kid
Welcome man! If you have the buyed version, you should get a password and log in name in your mailbox. With that code, you can log in on the nolimits website to download NoLimits 2. If you buyed it through Steam, it should download directly
No launch. No thanks.
So 3 launches = 3 times thanks?
Very disappointing
Yeah, I hoped for a higher rollback and stronger launch
kinda lame
I hate to say it, but I agree. I at least hoped for the launch to be a speed hill in there somehow
I agree, I hoped for something like a speed hill as well!
This looks more boring than the original lol and I'm terrified of the original.
Lmao
What terrifies you about the original? Same top speed. Slight difference in acceleration (1.3G vs 1G). I guess the LSM does eliminate the potential danger of hydraulic failure/cable snap,
Looks pretty lame actually
Yeah, the launches are pretty weak and a quit low rollback
Change kinda ka to lsm
To be honest, the old launch was a lot of fun as well!
