    Hi Dave, Thank you for this video. A few comments. It appears yours came more assembled than mine. I had to insert all the rod tightening brackets myself, and insert the center rod first because it did not come assembled. It also did not have the straps installed. I also noticed the directions said you must install the long hook first and when I watched your video I noticed you did the short one first most likely to accommodate the ebike v shaped step through. Nonetheless, I hope to get this rack completed and out of this hot heat and take the bikes to the beach! 107 today in Santa Clarita, CA!

      Thanks so much for your comments! That is interesting that yours has additional assembly to do. Hopefully you will be good to go and get to the beach! Took my rack to the New Jersey Shore a few weeks ago and it worked great!!

    I should have started in the comments by saying Thank you for making that video. Because of you I realized I made a few mistakes when using it. Thanks again for taking the time to put this well done video together.

      You think that 1.25 would hold the eahora juliet bike (without battery in it)? It Would Be 90lbs without battery and i would use for just the one bike.

    • @southernebiking
      @southernebiking 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@JasonXBeats in the description they say this is rated for 120 pounds. Another section says that it’s rated for 60 pounds but I believe that is per bike. So the weight should not be an issue. I would however, suggest you use an additional anti-wobble system as we found out after this video there system is not very good. It failed at 1500 miles. I do have a another video explaining how we fix this. If you use an anti-wobble plate along with their system, you should be all right. Thanks for watching.

    its a good rack i carry 2 ebikes with batteries removed. i also still get great gas mileage compared to my thule t2 pro xt. that rack weighs 6lbs more at 49lbs but its a gas hog. i also like that the outer trays can be removed to make it a 1 rack system with even better gas mileage.

    Thanks for great video! Curious about if any noisy rattle once you’re driving with this rack on. Some hitches come with a antirattle device or some such thingy. Do you still recommend it after using it for a while?

    • @davescycling
      @davescycling  11 месяцев назад

      Thanks for the question! I have used the rack on many occasions so far carrying an E-bike and a road bike and have not noticed any rattles. Yes, I still recommend the rack! Thanks for watching!

    How were you able to slide one of the hold down bars after you installed the screw to prevent that from happening?

    • @davescycling
      @davescycling  2 месяца назад +1

      Good catch! I just re-watched the video and sure enough I show putting the screw in and then later on sliding the hold down bar off of the top. You are correct, if you put that screw in, you will not be able to slide the bar off the top like I showed. So the screw is optional. I just took a look at my rack and I do have that screw removed. It does make it easier to load the bikes when you can pull those clamps all the way off.
      Thanks so much for your comment and question !!

    You think that 1.25 Version would hold the eahora juliet bike (without battery in it)?

    • @davescycling
      @davescycling  6 месяцев назад

      No, the weight limit on the KAC K2 is 70 lbs. Your Amazing Eahora Juliet weighs about 88 without the battery. You will need to find something a bit stronger. I will reply again later today with some options for you!

    • @davescycling
      @davescycling  6 месяцев назад

      Actually, I just read the spec again and it is actually capable of 120 lbs, so you will be ok!

    • @davescycling
      @davescycling  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, some e-bikes have extremely large tires so you do need to be sure the rack you buy is compatible.
