Merci beaucoup Michael. I have just bought a genos2 and it is my first Yamaha keyboard. There is much to learn for me. Your three vidéos are fantastic. Nobody on RUclips has done such a great and useful job. Your english is easy to understand for a frenchman and you don't speak too fast. Merci beaucoup. Xavier Vendée France
Wonderfully comprehensive and well-explained Michael. Thank you so much. I am very tech savvy and have had music keyboards from the very beginning, but I still found this useful. On to Tutorial 2!!
This is absolutely brilliant Michael ... So well thought off and very well executed! Amazing how you can't seem to find any other tutorials that are simple to understand and so super friendly. Thank a million
Micheal , for the uninitiated your operating tutorials on the Yamaha keys are by far the most useful and informative shown on YT. Look forward to part 2 of the G2. Thanks for your efforts.
Ciao sei molto bravo e preciso nelle spiegazioni, non sapendo la lingua Inglese seguo i tuoi video con i sottotitoli in Italiano,ma riesco comunque a seguirti. Ancora complimenti
@@Denvermorgan2000 Thank you very much for your advice, mr.Morgan, yes It could be that I'll think to buy a Genos 1, whose price is half than Genos 2. Have you a Genos too?
@@Denvermorgan2000 Absolutely, besides I'm not a great fan of FM sounds. And to modify in real time the drum styles Is a function not interesting for me. Thank you!👋😊
@@Denvermorgan2000 Hallo Denver, I've a question for you, please. What pair of studio monitors do you connect to your Genos 1? I have a fantastic Roland fp30x Wh that has inner powerful 11 watt X2 loudspeakers that sound very well. However when I connect this digital piano to a pair of Yamaha HS5, the nuance of every grand piano sample come out in impressive way!! And it'snt a volume feature but a better definition of frequencies and sound shapes!!!!! MARVELLOUS. I imagine that the same thing will be for Genos, isn't it? Many greetings and have a good music!!! What kind do you play? Are you a pro or for hobby?
Michael, you know me Tony Inline Skater Eastbourne just recently got back into the Keyboard after decades of giving up first time. Second attempt with the new RUclips video showing the fingers position was the Eureka moment. And someone introduce me to the song - Heart and Soul . Such a lovely tune and perfect for beginners. Also the the mini YAMAHA PSS A50, portable, compact and simple and effective... The big important question I want to ask you is are the white keys still going yellow nowadays with the keyboards?
Hey Tony, it’s been a while, I hope you’re well! Ahh nice, the PSS-A50, it’s a good little keyboard to get you started, I hope you carry on making music, it’s a good hobby. Over the year as the keyboard ages whether it be a new or old keyboard, there will be some cases in which the keys will yellow overtime, the main cause is if you leave it next to a window where there’s a lot of sunlight coming in, I have keyboards from the 80s that still have white keys, some keyboards of mine the keys have yellowed overtime, some of which are almost like an orange colour
@@KeyboardKrazy49 I'm good thanks for asking Michael. I thought so, it was just with Lego I think they worked it out with the white plastic? It's very likely because the excitement is overwhelming at the current moment with the songs learning - Tetris, Dr Who theme, Summertime etc so much and making quick progress. And I have to practice every day it being placed on my main desk in my way. So quick tune and move to one side... Also there's someone making it cool at the public piano www.youtube.com/@DrKBoogieWoogie
Great stuff Michael, very interesting video about a very very capable piece of kit. As I’ve said before I’m really looking forward to this series and I’m sure everybody else is aswell. I’m pleased that they did something with the main screen. I think they must of listened to feedback from Genos 1 owners and made subtle tweaks here and there to the instruments appearance. The hdmi connection to tv will maybe be a good tool for you to use in the instruction videos, maybe with one camera on the whole keyboard and one camera on the big screen tv.
I didn't know Yamaha was spying on me through my dreams, because I had this one crazy dream that I owned a keyboard with a screen and it was playing a video as it was playing a really sick song.
Hi regarding the Voice guide does it work for example in this song recording or style creator menu can you try it and see if it works but if it doesn’t why hasn’t Yamaha put any effort into the Voice guide or do you think there are any third parties who does that?
Hello there, when you download the voice guide onto a USB stick, the USB stick needs to be connected to the keyboard in order for it to work, if you disconnect it, it won’t work, until you put it in again
Yamaha sounds great. Feels like were paying 1000 bucks for the Larry Ferraro kimball organ karaoke styles. Theyre great ...but I make my own music. Id rather have everything on the right ..on the left NATIVE INSTRUMENT sample libraries. And drum and guitar players .then all my thousands would be worth it.
@@ruudzelf58 if you don’t like long tutorials (they are long as I go in depth with them), then go watch a short tutorial where it is likely they will rush everything.

Hallo Michael, you have made a fantastic video for the lucky Genos 2 owners!!!!! I don't belong to them, bad to say......
The Genos one is still a wonderful instrument if you have one.

Very nice demo
Cool! Now, Genos 2 would be accessible for all of us visually-impaired.

wow. didn't know it talked. great for a blind keyboardist like me.
Does the voice guide announce the sliders and knobs? Because on the Yamaha Genos they do not which is very disappointing.

I'M CONFUSED. ARE ALL THE SONGS ALREADY IN THE REGISTRATION BANKS-FACTORY SETTINGS?
On the built in playlist they are yes, but the others you can download
Pfff..very long-winded and 5 times the same thing...
