This isn’t so much an issue with Windows being a bad piece of software. It’s an issue with Microsoft having such a stranglehold on the global market for desktops, computers, and operating systems. Switching to Linux won’t solve this issue because that won’t significantly affect your interactions with the world around you, it’ll only affect your personal environment. Only government regulations can solve this issue.
Yeah, this is one of those instances where you do a audit and then you fire the majority of that chain. They know it and the upper deck guys know it. I wouldn't even consider CrowdStrike as a new guy, unless they paid me x2 or x3 of what the last guy made.
You have to have a human boot into safe mode and remove the system files that crowdstrike overwrote. Its bad. Or do it the hard way by loading another operating system to do administration work in fixing the filesystems. Businesses are going to get screwed with this one.

Let's take a look, banking, printing paper currency, engraving coins, armored carriers, mining of metals, production of plastic cards, etc., too many other jobs related to dealing with cash to list. CrowdStrike and Microsoft have a lot of explaining to do and the financial impacts are in the billions, lawsuits are likely already in the works. Lessons: Use Apple hardware as their software is superior to Microsoft’s 1980s based software.
