I first went to Villa Park in the late 60’s Villa were in the then second division, and got relegated to the third division, but great memories of Villa winning 3 or 4 nil every week.
The dark days are over, under the present owners, and Uni Emery. UTV!
Witton train station was at the back of my house so of course I was always a Villan. (since Vic Crowe manager days).

Thanks for the show Pete, have a great time in the UK. Unai has taught us not to make excuses, and for me that includes excuses for the opposition, so didn't like the point about injuries to Wolves players. Loved the way Jhon Duran and Nicolo Zaniolo played, a couple of mighty beasts with points to prove. Great summary about Ezri, how he has come on under Unai, and to chip a ball whilst running at speed for his goal was really impressive technique. Everything crossed for the game against City. UTMV!

As a Brummie living in Vancouver I'd 100% recommend getting a direct flight to London and then the train up next time. Preferably Air Canada as I find flying with them a better experience than BA. Keep up the good work Pete and hope your winning streak continues! UTV
Pete obviously you like your whisky so make a note next time your in the city centre venture over to the wellington on Bennetts hill, it's a specialist real ale and whisky pub, also my girlfriend is one of the supervisors there 😂, they have more whisky than you could shake a stick at, awesome video as usual.

Great having you back at Villa Park but sorry for the weather as it really is mixed at this time of the year. Depending on your diary you should go and visit William McGregor grave side about 2 miles away from Villa Park .

I couldn't make it to the match so watched at home. You may know by now what the linesman issue was, but if not it was a technical/equipment issue - lost contact with the ref. We had a close up on the TV of the whole thing.

The Manchester City game is a free hit for us as we would be expected to lose that one. Blood the youngsters and rest the more experienced players who need some rest! Especially with the ECL QF against Lille on the near horizon.

Do you know what, I have watched Konsa's goal back a few times now and I'm still convinced that Duran thought it was going in and didn't interfere with it. He could have easily got to it and headed it in but he wanted Konsa to get his goal. He just made sure that if it did come back out he'd be there to finish it. There's a strong bond among this squad, even with the so called "bit part" players. And I'm loving it. #UTV
By the way, hope you have a great time Pete. I have only managed to get to Villa Park less than a handful of times and I always get goosebumps.

There is something about Aston Villa, numerically this year. 2024 is a Number 8 year, and on the 8th of the Month there will be an eclipse of the Sun for 4 minutes. I also notice that the Aston Villa Jersey has the number 8 with a crown over it, and their symbol is the Lion that represents the Sun. They need to conquer the 4 minutes of darkness. The man who wears the number 8, and 17, will play an important role in the team. Confidence, calm and to play relax is important. I must return to more important and pressing things taking place on the Earth. Bless.

Can’t believe those stats, very misleading as it was pretty comfortable. Also, Rogers lost the ball in at least one dribble so not sure why 100% successful. Still, overall great result and great show, glad you enjoyed the trip

You are absolutely right Pete about the toll on players on international duty! It cannot be right that they play so many domestic games plus international fixtures! It would be fascinating to compare other countries and their domestic matches in a year - there is a research project for someone! Perhaps that also hinders home countries international success in european and world cup tournaments

Believe me, you DO NOT want to put your trust in Trains. Train Travel in this country is a minus 10, they are rarely on time, they cancel without notice, they sometime take one or even two coaches out resulting in overcrowding and you without a seat. First Class is a joke, I can remember back to the old steam days when second class had todays First Class the equivalent to third class, trust me, i'll never travel by train in this country again.
