Instead of it costing us money why not think about fireworks making the state money with tax revenue or something? Make something illegal people are gonna want it more no matter what you do. People will get illegal fireworks in Hawaii and the profits go to the black market instead of the state. I’m not saying I agree with using illegal fireworks, but to ban fireworks altogether sucks because it was a part of my childhood and a part of growing up that I wish I could still have today.
I get the Maui fires was a tragedy but I don’t recall it being started by fireworks. Wasn’t it from downed power lines? So how come the power grids not being banned? This kinda feels like the War on drugs and look how that’s going……..
Imagine a taskforce on drugs... you know a real concern.
That's what I'm saying fireworks don't cause overdose and people getting robbed of people dealing with theft everyday smh

My question is how these illegal fireworks get into the island. Something fishy, they need to check those shipping containers more thoroughly or maybe there are protectors those containers coming in the island.

Great job to the task force and also I want to give a warning to the people who sell and buy these illegal fireworks is that some of them are defective or are duds, just look what’s happening on the mainland with all the injuries, u may waste money on lots of illegal aerial dud fireworks!!!

Shaddup. U can get meds from the vet. And u can close the windows and turn on the ac to help the dogs out if u care about them. That’s what a responsible pet owner would do anyways
