2:24 One of my favs right there. Such a simple riff, yet so fucking heavy. The Latin percussion definitely accentuated the heavy delivery these guys had. Such a unique “Nu-Metal” band.
I like Revolution a little more but Confession is definitely the album they really honed in on melodies and established the Ill Nino sound. That first album though was vicious.
Marks playing on Revolution is irreplaceable, best riffs in their discography but Confession is #2 for me. Those first 2 albums are the OG Ill nino imo bois.
Revolution is definitely their best album. Te Amo...I Hate You is definitely one of my favorites off Confession and would definitely belong on my hypothetical best of Ill Nino album.
It's okay. Sangre and Mascara are decent, don't really care for the other 2 songs they released so far though. On the other hand, I absolutely love the new Lions At The Gate song and I think that band has more promise than Ill Nino 2.0 does. Just wish they didn't split up the way they did in the first place.

Cristian, Ahrue, and Diego sued Dave in retaliation citing fraud and scamming the band out of money for himself among other things. They settled the lawsuit but Dave gets to keep the Ill Nino name and brand for himself and he's continuing on with basically a whole different band around him and still calling it Ill Nino while Cristian, Ahrue, and Diego started Lions At The Gate.
