Land Rover Freelander Off Road Test - Does it Deserve its Badge?

In this video, my cheap $950 Freelander V6 is offroad tested on the way to my brother's bachelor party camping trip. 18-inch tires on a small SUV look great, but when it comes to the rough stuff, how does a car like this cope?

Enjoyed that, it did really well👍. There better off road than people than most people think. They lack a bit of ground clearance and wheel articulation. If you just go slow and use your common sense, there fine. Are they 18" wheels? Mine has 16".

Yeah they're 18s. Optional extra on the HSE trim. I've got an extra set of 17 rims that I hope to put on offroad tires sometime soon

On the other side of the coin . Here in Australia I have the td4 BMW engine . It's been the most reliable and trouble free comfy car we have ever owned.nAnd they have a bulletproof reputation . Unfortunately Landrover make shit engines.

Mine has a Toyota 5s Engine, I think I created a monster out of a Beast with the combo, very successful engine swap🚶
