Thanks for putting this up Jay! ZeroTier is great. A couple months ago I wanted to play around with it so I set up a Linode with a reverse proxy and let's encrypt so that I can serve apps from my home lab. I use the linode as the external endpoint and use zerotier to route requests to an ubuntu vm running containerized services on the backend at home so I don't have to leave ports open on my home firewall. It works great! Thanks for all of your content!
Zerotier is a great service and software. I stumbled upon it to host a MC server and avoid opening ports from my LAN. The connection is stable and hasn't dropped connections so far (making it more reliable than mi ISP). Also, the Windows client is simple enough for my (regular pc users) friends to join the network. My only complaint is that it isn't a build-in way to shut down the service (that I'm aware of). So it's always running and keeping the computers connected you to the VLAN. Good to see you putting new ZT content, since there's isn't much out there.
So it's presented similarly to old school Hamachi, but it really offers so much more. Looking at the rules engine and such it really goes so much deeper.
can u explain how to connect to wireless network without gui apps or how to use pendrives or other storage connectet by usb on linux without gui? i have problem with it and nobody can explain this correctly. I have a problem with that because i finished difrent school and now i have alot of problems with learn linux and thats two are most difficult. I have a laptop and only wifi network and i dont know how to install debian or gentoo without it or how to use usb storage how to mount and where it is after mount i dont understand it very well :(
Yep, just connected all my printers and the Linode instance onto ZeroTier. So cool, works so smoothly.. No crappy Octoprint 'remote access bloatfull plugins' anymore :) Thanks Jay..
For a „simple to set up “ software this is unfortunately far from it. Who would know which extra libraries to install? Who is as good as you with the CLI? You had better have at least intermediate level networking skills.

I use ZT instead of hardware Vpn. I love it. It is awesome. SDN is the next big thing.
OMG! You solved a huge problem that I had, my internet provider was denning the port mapping, with this my privite server works!
i am using it on my phone, connecting to my lan from mobile connection is awesome
Thank you, Jay. Very interesting (because it so simple).
you have a video for everything.. ✅
awesome video, I cant wait to give it a shot with some test raspberry Pi to replace my personal remote access vpn I have at home.
Would be very interesting how to get it running with opnsense and a cgnat internet-connection.
Thanks for this video. It helps a lot.
Thanks for this great tutorial. Please consider making another one about ZT on proxmox environment. Thanks...
What are the difference between Zero tier and VPN ?
what advantage does Zero tier provides that VPN doesn't ?
It looks really interesting, the only thing that I am wondering is what exactly do ZeroTier get out of this, and how do they make any money?
they must surely have great deals with companies and app-developers, they have features for it.
interesting if ZT shapes traffic
Is there any good local network LAN graphical remote control software?

have you ever think about doing a reveiw on mycroft ai or jarvis ai
ZeroTier serving OctoPrint instances on tens of thousands of home based 3d-printers? Hmmmmm....

Nah, I prefer to use tailscale instead.
A secure network that just works.
Zero config VPN.
... maybe the next idea for a video ? Looks like an interesting alternative. btw tailscale has a similar pricing structure to zerotier
Very nice, Thanks
I've had it quite a while and love the tech.. but for the life of me I cant think of an actual use for it.
It's great if you're behind a CGNAT. My ISP put me behind a CGNAT last year and ZeroTier helps me bypass it.
acccessing your home network remotely without opening ports. Controlling who can, and cannot, access your network by device

Too much off topic talking...
