      @@InstantEnglishUK also make shorts on WILL, SHALL, HAVE, HAS, WOULD, (these words we use when we ask questions like will you be my friend) p.s. i don't know what we call these words I guess they are verbs

      The sun rises and sets .
      The village lies about ten miles of here.
      Drive about 10 kilometers, then take the motorway slip road.
      If you use east, west, north, south as adjectives, the preposition depends on the nouns : on the east coast, in the east corridor, at the east gate.

      The main difference would be that IN is inside the cafe whereas AT could be inside or just outside 😁

    In America we say what someone is doing "over" or "this" weekend, but less often use "on" the weekend. We often use "on" when saying "what are you doing on Sunday?"

    I recently spoke to a British caller to the American bank I work for. I explained to her that we were not open the other day due to our "Federal Holiday". I explained that Federal Holiday is the same as your Bank Holiday. She was fascinated that we also have state holidays where only government offices in that state are closed.
