Cal is going to do his thing! He doesn’t care what Arkansas fans say. He’s not gonna crumble to ultimatum’s. He had 4-5 years to turn things around at UK and refused to change the way he coaches! The biggest thing in Arkansas right now is Cal’s ego! They will learn soon enough! lol

Cal was a great coach once upon a time...but instead of continuing to be a great coach and keep setting the innovative pace...he turned his focus on making sure he could send as many kids to the NBA as possible and take all the credit. Most of these kids would have been 1 and done if they had gone to say...Drexel, Iona, or Oakland. Cal is afraid to coach now. He was exposed as a has been 5 years ago. He is a very good recruiter, promoter, and NBA consultant. A college basketball coach he is not. BBN feels bad for what the Arkansas fans are going through and will continue to go through until Cal is gone. You deserve better than a has been no matter how A list he was years ago.

Me as a hog fan, feel Calipari still thinks he’s at Kentucky! And until he realizes Kentucky fans are done with him. He’s not going to be able to coach anywhere else.

Now that I think about it, y'all were duped by the national media.
When Cal was at Kentucky, even during his better years, they wouldn't shut up about how he was "underachieving", "can't coach", "washed" etc.
But as soon as he left for Arkansas (but before the season happened), that hate stopped. National media were singing his praises again. Us UK fans were told, in no uncertain terms, that Calipari was the brand, not Kentucky.
That's why I'm personally going after them, rather than Hog fans.

Arkansas fans: had a ton of fun after they "stole" a HOF coach, then a top recruiting class. They started off the season on a mountain after beating Kansas. Reality set in less than a week later

There was alot of Fan apathy at UK under Cal. Rupp Arena had a 5-10 year waiting list for season tickets from when the place opened in 1976 till sometime in the last decade. The place is packed this year and rocking so the coaching change was great in that regard. I think Cal's stye of play is boring no matter how many times he claims he plays fast and exciting ball. He gets great players but plays so conservatively it like whats the point. Example, in 2015 he had Karl Anthony Towns and Devin Booker. To of the best scorer in Basketball the last 1o years, and UK average a whooping 74 ppg. That seem impossible with that kind of Talent, but Cal managed to figure a way to do it.

Cal's only concern about others' opinion of him is for the big ballers. He cares not what the average Kentucky fan opines. Boos will not faze him but might very well motivate Z, Adou, and DJ. I think a warm reception in recognition of a fun last season would be an amazing show of love. Until the ball goes up, then they are the enemy 😤

Even though I was fuming after the Oakland loss i still want to see Cal do better, for his own sake. He has to know what hes doing- so do the right thing for the fans and school, and his legacy.

As an AR fan how I feel about the Cal situation is, Letdown. Not let down in cal but in the whole situation. It really feels like the AR program is cursed. It feels sometimes that anything that can go wrong, Will! We are trying to fight out of it but it is exhausting, but it must be done. I Love the Hogs what feels like more than life, I’m just ready for this to be done. Let’s Go Hogs!!

I never questioned him as a fan in 15 years until his last game when everyone and there momma was talking about the zone Oakland runs and have ran for 40years. We came in and looked absolutely lost !

Arkansas has a tough row to hoe ahead of them, They have UK, Bama, Auburn, A/M, Miss St, Mizzou, Vandy, Texas twice, and South Carolina on the road. I don’t see 4 wins there! They might split with Texas and win SC, SC plays everyone tough down there!

The media are gonna try to spin this but here’s the facts. Cal is gonna get Boo’d. All the kids who played here and was commits here that left are gonna get Boo’d. U don’t cheer for the opposing General when ur in a war against him. Same with the soldiers. Now once he’s done or out of the SEC he can come get his moment of applause. That’s what it is. But Cal way of doing things is over for him. He’s a recruiter and “gatherer of talent”. NIL makes that obsolete now. Now u have to coach these players and we see how that’s gone for him. It’s not gonna get better.

Every fan base in the country is in agreement that the game has passed Cal by. Most Kentucky fans wanted him gone 2 years ago. Why do Arkansas fans think they’re going to get something different?

    • @ngarcia103

This is why my blame is pointed at the national media. When he was at Kentucky, even before his slide in the 2020s, they kept telling us that he's washed, can't coach, he underachieves etc.
But as soon as he left us for Arkansas, all that media hate stopped. They were talking about how Arkansas would be a Final Four team. How Calipari, not Kentucky, was the true brand.

Please allow me to say exactly the complete opposite of everything you basically told torres.
As a uk fan myself, i blame and have blamed cal for his lack of success at the program since 2016, but especially since 2020!
I blame the man for his arrogance, egotistical, narcissistic, low energy, lack of enthusiasm and development, compromising, adapting and being not so down to earth with the local media and fans and legitimately talking down to people all while giving little to no respect to those people!
I blame cal and his horseman for putting #1 priority in the teenie bopping 5 stars with only intentions being keeping that nba pipeline flowing with recruits who care nothing about the dedication to the program, fans, development and earning success and legitimately wanting to win all games, including the conference, and all tournaments!
I blame cal for never letting bbn enjoy a player or a teams style of play, heart , or presence, but 1 year!
This john dude can be and remain positive, thankful, optimistic, etc, all he wants but if ky had Arkansas resume thus far with a new coach and that kinda talent and experience, uk fans would be the complete opposite and the program would more than likely find another leader asap!!
Arkansas and john can accept mediocracy all they want but uk and ky consider that a failure which is exactly why cal isnt here anymore and he knows that!!
The only reason cal didnt retire is because the man clearly enjoys the spotlight, the attention and fame way too much nationally and wanted the option to coach a program that didnt have such substantial consistent expectations as uk and a program and fan base that is totally cool with the optimism and mediocracy as this john dude has shown us all for weeks and days, lol!!!
My question is, how can any of you all even consider remaining optimistic or legitimate think cal would be anything different, more or less just because he switched programs!!......
How many years of failure and underachieving results or embarrassing pressers do yall need to witness before accepting this, lol??!!
Yall do understand the definition of insanity right?
Oh well, Good luck with all the above!

I’m a Kentucky fan and I don’t think Cal is a top 5 game coach or anything but at the same time Johnell hasn’t been what everyone thought same with DJ he hasn’t improved at all from his freshman season. He doesn’t play the bigs right in my opinion but Johnell and DJ have both been very disappointing and they both get the minutes. Z should play more same with Billy

Coach Calipari is gonna bring in the best talent every year. And that’s gonna bring tons of entertainment/excitement and (publicity) for the University of Arkansas.. Arkansas will have some great years for sure. Who knows, maybe even another Title!

    • @ryanphillips3533
      @ryanphillips3533 32 минуты назад

Lol, so why couldn't he get it done at a program like uk with that same talent he aquired year after year but once in 15 years??
Better not get used to those players year in and year out regardless of excitement and talent they provide because one and done is all they care about rather than nil $$, lol!!
Good luck to the state of Arkansas, the mental stability and its program!

    • @26michaeluk
      @26michaeluk 13 часов назад +1

We UK fans were doing the same his last 5 years? It's like who do you replace a HOF coach with? But Cal and Kentucky needed a split, both parties. I'm still on the fence with Pope. He assembled a roster in two months and here we sit in the top 10, if we beat y'all, where we've been since early season. We're 6-1 against top 10 teams but have lost to bad teams. Way better than was expected certainly but recruiting isn't looking good. I see us losing in the first round of the tournament. I truly thought Cal would be motivated to prove he's still got it but I'm seeing maybe the worst version of Cal this year. He went 36-3 his first year at UK. I think it's a roll of the dice nowadays and NIL and the transfer portal is ruining stability in college sports. But I promise you freshman, unless they're an Anthony Davis talent, just does not work. Only two teams have won a title in the last 20 years in the 1 and don't era, 2012 UK and 2015 Duke. Cal used freshman and portal guys his last 6 years. One elite 8 and one tournament win. 2 SEC tournament wins in that span. You'll know by the end of next year if Cal is the guy. But I think there's a good chance you may beat us Saturday. Good luck and I hope things work out for y'all, minus playing us of course.
