HOW IT WORKS - Noise Reduction With Yoad Nevo
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 27 июл 2024
- In this session with Yoad Nevo, we get to take a look at the way that noise reduction works.
Using a couple of examples with Logic's own native Spectral Gate plugin, plus a more advanced one using Waves Z-noise. He introduces us to the concept of bins.

We are so lucky to have Yoad!! Always love all your guests on SonicTalk because I get to virtually converse with professionals.
Beans. , can’t stop laughing at nicks question.
Yoad, you're a great asset to the sonicstate team
"Are you calling them beans?"
...fffffffffhahaahahaha XD
Excellent video and series. Thank you!
What a treat🙏😁. Informative and well presented. Thanks Yoad and Nick 👍👍👍👍
Thanks Yoad and Nick. I enjoyed this
I LOVE these series!!!!!!
Splendid, thanks for this.
... as Yoad sells 2,000 copies of z-Noise. :) Great tutorial/lesson!
Can Waves develope one for literal brainwaves? It would be lovely to gate about a dozen or so mental bins.
Thanx Yoad. Shoutout for klevgr brusfri. Best noise reduction I ever heard. Its simply magical. Super simple, and it just works. I have no idea if it works the same way, but It's the absolute best and easiest to use!
Great thanks Yoad & Nick! Very appropriate as I've just been thinking how I can clean up my analogue Line level signals from my old Behringher DDX3216 mixer (very noisy now, even with re-capped PSU... are we allowed to use the 'B' name here?) in to X32 rack using some form of digital Noise Reduction at the beginning of that input chain. So was wondering how these algorithms actually work in reality to do this. Will have a play! Be safe all - catch you in fact ... tomorrow (already!!) 😷🖐🎹🎶🍻
Thanks all!
I used to usually use multiband expander as a noise gate.
I used the free graphic filter from Cool Edit Pro and it takes me few seconds to obtain.
Bins... like audio buckets.. beans are nice on toast. :)
Would love to see a part 2 of this video for a real life situation. Same guitar track with a finger squeak....lets remove the squeak....could we???
I do it by looking where the squeak sits in the frequency spectrum and create an automation for a cut at that frequency. That way you only affect the signal at exactly the time where the problem is.
Ik had van jullie alleen de demo Ik wil het heel graag kopen maar ik heb het geld er niet voor
It's $30 mate
Have I misunderstood, did Yoad mean bins, not beans? Audio beans - is it full of wind?
Beans - I wasnt sure at the time either!
@@sonicstate I've heard the word 'bins' in the context of audio processing - books.google.co.uk/books?id=76rBDwAAQBAJ&pg=PA60&dq=audio+bins&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiEvq7hksDpAhXUTMAKHWC0BsAQ6AEIJzAA#v=onepage&q=audio%20bins&f=false - not beans
It's bins yes.
sonicstate like Heinz 4096 (57)?
@@crosswick OOps I'll change it
I should be a moron but to me it's like a EQ filter...
