Jackie is fortunate...If I was OP, the moment I heard about (and saw Proof of) her misconduct, ESPECIALLY the HIPPA Record Violations and recording Seniors without their knowledge or Permission, I'd have very quietly (and completely off the record) told the HR people that not only am I recommending Termination WITH Cause, but I'm also STRONGLY suggesting a call to the Federal DA's Office to have them open an Investigation into whether or not she should be slapped with SERIOUS Federal Felony Charges... In short, once I saw the Evidence against her, I'd be doing my level best (WITHOUT breaking the Law myself) to twist the serrated dagger deeply planted in Jackie's back as viciously as I possibly could because that's the best way to protect the Union from the inevitable splash damage of the consequences of her actions... YOU DON'T MESS WITH HIPPA!!! EVER!!!
Story 3 shows that what some people consider a character flaw, others see as a necessary component to the same job. I got fired from 2 retail jobs for attempting to stop shoplifters. Next month will be my 5 year anniversary working security. Shift focus, and your deficits become investments in the life that works best for you.
I love that the way it was phrased, it's unclear whether she was telling them she was disappointed in them for killing people, or disappointed in them for getting caught so they couldn't continue doing it... ("I'm so disappointed in you for not living up to your potential as a serial killer.")
I met a guy who was finishing his stint in the peace corps in Latvia. His partner had left early or something so he was alone. He was so bored he taught himself to make exact copies of every US president. I guess he got a hold of a book which had endpapers covered with these signatures.
Story 1: This is a prime example of why government departments are very inefficient. Story 2: Jackie was clearly doing wrong. She got everything she deserved. "Just Cause" is an understatement. Story 3: Karen got what she deserved.
I worked as a cashier at a store that had a pharmacy so I had all the procedures on what to do with PHI and PII drilled into my head. Moment they mentioned HIPPA I was like "omg she dead."
Story 2 - I was a shop steward in a Six Flags park about 40 years ago. Some employees in food service had the very strange idea that shop stewards were supposed to testify untruthfully when the stewards observed the employee stealing money from their till. One actually hit me (it was a 16-year-old) and it ended up in Juvenile Court after I made a formal complaint to the police.
If she (and it sounds like her husband) allowed HIPAA protected info out into the wild, then they're probably behind bars and very broke. They don't play around when you misappropriate PHI (I should know, I work for a hospital and they are very clear on protecting patient's info).
Retired government worker here. It's virtually impossible to fire somebody on the spot, no matter what law was broken. Best case scenario at minimum, three months on PAID ADMIN LEAVE while there's an investigation, multiple hearings and then they get terminated. What was described in the story is exactly the process on how to fire a government employee.
Back in 2006 I got a job as a receptionist in a hair salon. They were closed Sunday and Monday and the cleaning lady came in on Monday. She told the owner the phone rang off the hook. The owner then told me to come in Monday 9-5 just to answer the phone. For the 6 Mondays I worked there the phone rang once. And it was the owner. Had a lot of fun on those Mondays.
"Oh, Hi boss. Yes everything is fine here. Yes. I am answering every phone call that comes in. I tell every one of them our business hours and ask them if they want to make an appointment now or contact us later. Anything else, boss? OK, Have a great Monday boss."
I'm familiar enough with hipaa that i shouted "THAT'S SO BAD." in my car multiple times in the second story. Those violations are really bad. Even tiny violations have huge consequences.
At night last position at a major university, I had a 5 day crash training course. On the last day I inquired about a tray of papers on the corner of the desk. She said those weren't important. So on Monday, I start familiarizing myself with the office and I look at the papers. "Holy sh*t!" and I call my boss. The papers were all forms with social security numbers on them that she was supposed to have removed and sent to HR a year ago. Needless to say, my priorities changed and I was in haul ass mode and went through every file, box, and drawer.
Story 1b: There is no way in hell that I would "journal" my private feelings and go to shrink sessions for a job. My personal things are mine and none of the company's business. Story 2: If you live in a town of under 2000 people you can take a shite and the entire town knows what color it is before you can flush! Small town secrets...Do. Not. Exist. Story 3: If it is legal OP should have responded with "Single-Party recording is lawful in this state" and leave it at that...nothing else...even though OP didn't...just make her sweat.
Ran into a number of people who were hired as contractors on military bases who said they were hired over the phone. Mostly skilled retiree's looking for a few extra bucks. They were told to report to locations on base and go to work only no one ever told them what the work was. They had no contact number for the place that hired them. They all said the paychecks always came in and no one ever contacted them. Some had been showing up for years and getting paid. I worked for a telco and these guys would get so bored they would work on the telephone equipment and disconnect our computer lines that were not in the records. When this happened we always knew there was a new hire that would be desperate for some thing to do and disconnect our monitoring equipment.
2nd story: some kind of insurance fraud, most likely. Could be using the records to help patients who are otherwise uninsurable get life insurance or some kind of billing scam.
Story 1: Getting paid to do nothing is incredible. I worked an overnight security shift at an independent senior living center and my only jobs during my 8 hour shifts were to take out the trash and walk around the building once an hour. They all had life-alert style pendants that they could press to notify me if they need help during the night, and that happened 4 times during the 8 months I worked there and 3 were accidental presses lol
Story 1 : "She wrote letters to a bunch of serial killers in jail, saying how she was disappointed in them and never got a reply" ?? This means that she gave them a return address ?!
I got scared for a second. Fluff: "Enter Jackie." Me: My sister...? Fluff: "Toxic cheerleader..." Me: Phew, not my sister... Fluff: "**further describes Jackie**" Me: DEFINITELY not my sister!

Umbridge will forever be the punchline nickname for bad teachers, principals and other school staff... it also reminded me how, in the HP books, Umbridge tried to stop the students from reading Harry's interview and, in the process, ensured that everyone read it.
@@michaeldiogenesbest6127It’s definitely Ms Umbridge, at least in the English editions of Harry Potter. Perhaps you are confusing the name for the word, umbrage, which influenced the name in the books
Had a similar experience to Story 1 roughly 3 years ago. Our project finished on a Friday, boss tells me he'll have me reassigned on Monday and just be here at normal time. Came in, emailed him and waited. And waited. Come lunch, emailed him to tell him I'm still waiting, then when I left for the day emailed that I'd talk to him tomorrow. Went 4 days of this before he called me laughing as he'd been meaning to tell me to I would start working on X project and he was getting me reassigned to it, but it was taking some time and he kept getting sidetracked when going to tell me. He just said "Guess you're lucking out this week, just keep coming in like you have." Didn't start actual work until the following Wednesday due to IT issues taking a while for my access to all systems. Got a good way through Zelda BotW by that point too. I enjoyed it a lot, but I can't imagine doing it for a year+ :D
How the hell could she email patient info to herself? Our work computers have an auto-block on them if anyone tries to email customer information to themselves! (And their user info automatically gets flagged for HR to fire them)
I will NEVER work for Wal-Mart because we have BIL that is known for being shady as h*** working in their insurance department just to be on the safe side. For example, he told MIL, FIL, my to be husband & I that he found a wallet. When my MIL asked if he gave it back, he said yes, but he'd kept the money in it "Because they needed it." We were all completely speechless, & that's just ONE of the things he's done over the years..... It's just not worth the risk......

If anything the last story who would thought that people in law school would not be familiar with both rules and laws. and know how to apply them. That is what you are teaching them to do.
The last part of the last story reminded me of something that happened at a previous job. Apparently, you are also not able to recall an email after someone has already replied to it. Well, our CFO sent out an email to the company, referring to a new client as a "whale", and how we should prioritize them. Problem is that she CC'd the wrong "John", accidentally sending it to one of our clients, rather than one of the employees. A coworker of mine had responded with a generic "woohoo" message before she was able to recall it. So what happened? They scolded my coworker for "not noticing" the wrong person was CC'd before replying, putting all the blame on him. That was also the company where the CEO blamed me for a database being wiped out, since it was one of our clients who I was working on stuff for, only to find out that it was him who wiped it. Naturally, I never received an apology, nor did he ever own up to it.
Story 1: I had a similar experience. I worked for a company where my supervisor worked from home so it was just me in my office day after day. Most of the time I had absolutely nothing to do, so I made up little projects to do to pass the time. It was very lonely and boring, and when I was finally laid off, my supervisor fought to get me two extra weeks of work...which I was totally ungrateful for, because I'd had enough and just wanted it to be over.
I'm pretty certain that lawyers, financial reps doctors and union reps all have the same advice going first... ".. I'm the professional let me do my job..", so it baffles me that some class of 2010 Google certification some how trumps a 25+ year career ..??
There's something missing from story 3. No school gets to decide when a student can or can not travel. They might be referring to receiving school reimbursement for expenses going to conferences or something, but even if you wanted to attend on your own dime, they can not prevent it.
Story 1: I remember a story similar to this from when I worked in payroll. An employee's temp contract was ending, and the pay system generated an automatic message warning my pay team colleague of this. She emailed the temp's manager, asking him if the temp's contract would be renewed or not, so we knew whether to terminate her on the pay system or extend the end date. The panicked manager immediately phoned my colleague to say the temp had resigned months ago. What had happened was that the temp resigned around the time her team had been transferred from one branch to another. To cover her bases, the temp emailed her resignation letter to her old manager and his deputy and the new boss and his deputy, so four people received her resignation letter. Somehow *all four* of these people convinced themselves that one of the others had forwarded the resignation letter to us in the pay team, so none of them did. Of course, the (former) temp had to repay the money once we got in contact with her. She just claimed she hadn't checked her bank statements in enough detail to notice she was still being paid by us. Yeah, right.
STORY 2: It's not like this story is a one-off, there are literally 1000s of Jackie types doing their thing as we hear about this, from the lowest to the highest branches of government.
We're busy doin' nothin' Workin' the whole day through Tryin' to find lots of things not to do We're busy goin' nowhere Isn't it just a crime We'd like to be unhappy, but We never do have the time. Thank you Bing
24:49 If it was a 1 party consent state, I would record everything with this woman. Or I would place a recorder down and ask her to start the meeting. If she didn't want it recorded I would ask for a witness as her aggressive behavior towards me before was very unsettling.
Holy shit I think I know the people in story 2. If I'm right, names have been changed, and one of the disabled people who's HIPAA rights were violated by "Jackie" was yours truly. Like I'm one of the people who's actions directly led to her termination.
The last one... the recall feature doesn't always work. I have many times received the recall with an email, especially when it's going outside of the mail server.
Had to look up Hipaa for that jacky story as I had no clue what that was about being from Europe. Darkfluff you might want to explain those type of specific american things cause I'm sure there are a lot of non American's watching your channel.
(5:12) What was writing the serial killers in prison supposed to accomplish? Those people looked human beings in the eye and caused the life to drain from them. They then were tried and publicly demonized, but maybe it would have been her letter that would have opened their hearts to accepting [insert preferred theism here] into their lives.
lol. I imagined that she berated them for getting caught. There are probably a lot of killers out there who didn’t get caught and that’s why she was disappointed.
Story 1: that's the sad reality of getting a job with nothing to do, sure you get paid to do nothing, but it's about as fun as a soldier stuck with guard duty for the next 32 hours, and you know what they say in the military "a board spldier is a dangerous soldier"

email recall is something different. microsoft exchange allows that. but only for mails internally on the same exchange. if it's sent somewhere else... have fun, that is permanent. the other feature with recall within 30 seconds, that's something gmail has: but it just keeps the mail for another 30 seconds in case you decide otherwise. but it's not a real recall.
Story 3 - I’ve often referred a lot of Karens as Umbridge if they fit the profile, but this lady is definitely the muggle version of Umbridge from HP. When she asked if OP had recorded their conversation I wouldn’t have answered and just let her sweat.
Could be she was worried, could be she was trying to trap him into admitting to breaking criminal wiretap laws. Depending on where you are, recording a private conversation without a court order can be illegal if any of the participants are unaware that they are being recorded.
Like story 2) a credit union in my area became union. The day it got passed. One guy decided to do everything he wasn't supposed to and thought the union would back him up. Well he was fired. 1) they didn't have a union rep yet because the contract hadn't been finalized (it can take 2 to 10 to finalize) and 2) he broke so many rule there was no saving him. Then he tried file a wrongful termination suit since he voted for the union which the company despised. That went as well as you could imagine. The union was out within a year before the contract was final. They hated money coming out of their checks for union dues without much return. Unions have their uses but not much on the banking scene.
Story one - They actively avoided any oversight or informing anyone that they are still there. They took advantage and got paid for it, rightfully. But I'd NEVER hire them. I feel bad for anyone that'd hire these people since without supervision, they'll take full advantage.

Yes, from the Janitor to the President.
We're busy doin' nothin'
Workin' the whole day through
Tryin' to find lots of things not to do
We're busy goin' nowhere
Isn't it just a crime
We'd like to be unhappy, but
We never do have the time.
Thank you Bing
Love story 2 omg her manager was a candidate for canonisation, roflmao😂😂😂😂
This is why people don’t like government employees. The supervisor should be fired.

They were “JUGGLING” the prairie dogs?
Plague or not, could there be a god that would let this happen?
In some places they juggle geese.
@@robertc.9503 *shudders* hopefully not canada geese... or they'd be turning around at attacking!
One stared back and it became one of the oldest Internet memes.
For the first story I wouldn’t have said anything to the boss and lied lol
Oh I know exactly what I would do with such freedom. I'd work on dnd. 100%
Story 2: You could say, she shot herself in the foot so many times, she didn't have a leg to stand on.
People like jackie are the reason unions are hated.
I am sad when you said "She shot herself so many times in the foot" but didnt follow up with "so she had nothing to stand on" 😅
Just thought you should know the little chalet appears to be on fire!!!
So many of the episodes this year are repeat stories. Some have been told on here 2-3 times.
Yay Fluffy time! 😁
Hi all again all 👋👋
Story one is why people don't like the government...
In the wacky world of Uncle Sam, it's on the road to becoming the United Kingdom of America.
Nice stories
The last one... the recall feature doesn't always work. I have many times received the recall with an email, especially when it's going outside of the mail server.
Had to look up Hipaa for that jacky story as I had no clue what that was about being from Europe. Darkfluff you might want to explain those type of specific american things cause I'm sure there are a lot of non American's watching your channel.
Including me. I come from a country whose dialect can almost be its own language.
Another great video 😀
You going to post another I don’t Work Here video soon?

Hi everybody!
@@davidlane256 Same here.
I'm sorry I took Steve's food.
PLEASE, stop calling everyone "Guys." I would guess most of us are female.
Zip it, PC Principal! Perhaps you can come up with a gender-neutral version and have it entered into the OED.

Story 1: that's the sad reality of getting a job with nothing to do, sure you get paid to do nothing, but it's about as fun as a soldier stuck with guard duty for the next 32 hours, and you know what they say in the military "a board spldier is a dangerous soldier"
Why is that the house on fire in the background?
It's a fireplace going😊
It's called a chimney!!!
It's about to burn to the ground. 😜
@@gryphenicedancer8796 It's about to burn down I tell you. Call 911. Call the fire department. Call the police. For the love of all that is sacred CALL SOMEONE. 😂🤣
@CaptainGoldberg 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Wow, 1st time I was this early
after hearing that first story, Elon Musk's DOGE agency doesn't sound so idiotic....
I still wish it was anyone other than him running it though
Blame Chinese character
That's my tax money!!! Stupid government!!!
Federal tax pulls in 2 trillion dollars pkus a year.
That's a minute amount per dollar to cover the cost of two low level employees 😄😄😄😄
It was a state level department, so odds are there’s a 1/50 chance that you didn’t pay for it.
@@ElTee842 A lot of state agencies get grants from the federal government, though, so the odds are slightly higher than that.
@ sure that’s possible but the state still usually funds the majority depending on what it is
email recall is something different. microsoft exchange allows that. but only for mails internally on the same exchange.
if it's sent somewhere else... have fun, that is permanent.
the other feature with recall within 30 seconds, that's something gmail has: but it just keeps the mail for another 30 seconds in case you decide otherwise. but it's not a real recall.
Under 1 minute gang
#2 If Hillary can get away with it, why not Jackie?
Story 1 explains why DOGE is needed
Story one - They actively avoided any oversight or informing anyone that they are still there. They took advantage and got paid for it, rightfully. But I'd NEVER hire them. I feel bad for anyone that'd hire these people since without supervision, they'll take full advantage.
Please stop putting commercials in the middle of the stories!
Woke story so dumb.
Wtf is the ‘woke’ story?
@ElTee842 the one talking from dei and diversity point of view
@ stay mad bigot 😂😂😂
@@ElTee842 God bless you
@ lol, you think that upsets me? Dumb bigot
Did someone really imply that women were a minority in one of these posts? Why? How? I'm really impressed how stupid some people can be.

@JamesDavy2009 Still beats electing a senile man or a 80 IQ puppet NPC who answer every question with "orange man bad" and is "a good candidate" because she's got boobs, a vagina and is not white!
Not that we've had better choices in my country 😢. At least, Macron looks good and has a great elocution.
