Disney's MULTI-LINGUAL singers - Ieva Kerēvica (in 7 Languages)

- Namaskaar to one and all.
So far we have covered the continents of Africa (Egypt) and Asia (Vietnam) in our "multilingual singers" series...and hence, we move on to Europe, from where this time, I chose trilingual Latvian jazz vocalist Ieva Kerēvica, who is also known as the Latvian voice of Princess Tiana, Mother Gothel and Iduna of Frozen II.
She has possibly sung in a lot more languages, as there is no claim or mention of the total number of languages she has sung in so far, but I managed to find these 7 online, which are :-
1. Latvian
2. English
3. Portuguese (I assume its the Brazilian accent)
4. Russian
5. Sanskrit
6. Ukrainian
7. Spanish
So, which of these languages (other than her native Latvian and English) do you think she absolutely nailed? How is her accent? Could she possibly be the voice of a Disney character in your language too? Let me know in the comments below! ;)

One of my favorite Latvian voices if not my favorite! Of the foreign languages, I like her best at Portuguese I think :D I hope to hear more from her in dubbings. Great video!
Oh for me she is so far my ultimate favorite, her Tiana is really cool. :D
And same, her Portuguese portion was really melodic, I loved listening to it over and over again, how sweet it was. Thanks! :D

Wow she's a very talented jazz vocalist! I was surprised by her Sanskrit entry really...may I ask what she sang there? 😅 Oh and I think the Portuguese is indeed Brazilian as she sang a bossa nova which originiated from Rio ;)
I was surprised by it too, didn't expect her to try an Indian language at all, let alone an old one like Sanskrit haha. She sang a mantra (chant) called "Ganapati Mool Mantra" in her own jazz interpretation.
And I actually did guess that it would be a bossa nova by the music and the mood of the song itself haha....may I know what is the name of that bossa nova she sang, if you know it?
wait did u say that she singed brazillian? if yes u are so wrong!!!!! There is portuguese from Portugal and from Brazil, and for other African countries!!!!!

Yes I am aware of Portuguese's origins (kinda self-explanatory no?), where it's spoken, and its variants or dialetcs such as Angolan Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Guinean Portuguese, and even its influences on other languages. The reason why I referred to her Portuguese as "Brazilian" because I'm referring to her accent, and song choice/genre which is Bossa Nova that originates from Rio in Brazil.
Her Portuguese is very good. She (to me) is the best Latvian voice from Disney
Wow! Her spanish is really good :O. I actually knew that she wasn't Rapunzel hehe I remember hearing Zanes Rapunzel and saying WTF is this! Because Tiana had a deeper tone to it, so it was Ieva after all! Shes so talented :D
haha, tbh Ieva and Zane do have some similarities in their tonal qualities, they can easily fool someone by voice-twinning this way lol. (I mean, they did voice Tiana together afterall, so Disney's team also felt the same thing I guess)
But since the day I got to know that Zane is not Tiana's singing voice, I have started to notice more and more differences in their voices myself. :)
Her Russian sounds very smooth. I believe she traveled to the neighboring country or even learned the Russian at school (that was a usual practice in USSR) so I'd bet her pronunciation is good w/o even hearing the song :)
Every latvian hes a russian voice and shes a latvien by her name you can hear it sorry lol

I'm mixed with her role as Tiana and I like her as Gothel. I'm surprised that she could sing in Sanskrit. It could be that Latvian and Sanskrit are in the same language family.
Yes, they are in different sub-families of the Indo European language family.
@@rishabhrox1 All of the languages shown here are part of the Indo-European language family: Latvian, Russian and Ukrainian are Balto-Slavic (Latvian is Baltic, Russian and Ukrainian are Slavic), English is Germanic, Portuguese and Spanish are Romance and Sanskrit is Indo-Aryan.
