yeah like the other comments have said, simon was upset that everyone was celebrating wille and felice but when it came out that wille and simon messed around everyone just stared and whispered about them and it had to be a secret. BUT i also think he was jealous as well...i love that he's jealous it makes complete sense for him to be jealous and hypocritical and MESSY he's a SIXTEEN years old like they should be hypocritical just like any other teen would. i loved it. also wille was crying in the mirror bc he was becoming the image of a Traditional Prince that he never wanted to be, it's so sad.

Interesting facts: Edvin shared that one of the most emotional scenes for him was the one of Wille putting the wig on and realizing he is becoming the image of a prince (That's why he was crying). And Edvin heard Simon's song for the first time recording that last scene. Beautiful! And watch out for the parallels with S1, guys! There are sooo many!
I don't feel like Marcus was trying to be nice going to the ball with Simon after all, but more controlling. He tried to make him not go until he learned Simon had to because of the singing, and that's when he figured he rather not let him be with his ex on valentine's. He clings to him all night and pressures him to leave right after Simon was done with his duties, which leaves Simon noticeably uncomfortable. Him not sharing the names of the fish is the first obvious sign he stopped recreating moments with Marcus, as he realized its just not the same.
@@msimpingrid Yes, we are in complete agreement, Ingrid. A lot of controlling behaviour from Markus from the beginning and a lot of public ownership of Simon attempts in this episode. No way was he there because the solo was important to Simon. He was policing an event at which he knew Simon was bound to see Wilhelm. Not telling Markus the names of the fish seemed to me the most important turning point so far, although I think Simon has been uncomfortable about him almost from the start.

Hey, Alex and Josh. It’s been a while! So good to see you guys back and reacting again to my favourite ever show. Yes, Alex, it was a good kiss. ❤ It was THE kiss in that it for me begins a process of Simon and Wilhelm moving towards each other, instead of trying to move apart in episodes 1-3. I think we’ve all been holding our breath waiting for this turning point. Simon not sharing the names of the fish with Markus says everything about how he’s consciously realising now that he is never going to allow him any closer, although in my opinion, he’s been unconsciously realising that for a while but using it as a way of running away from the pain of Wilhelm’s betrayal at the end of season 1. If you thought this episode was tense, I hope you’re feeling strong when you watch the last two episodes…🙃🫣
Nils seeming like he's 40 is more like what I expect of a person who has great wealth, even if he's young. Also he is a bit older, as a third year, this character is 18 or 19.
There you are! Already missed you! I think Simon needed this experience to see Wille moving on, as its the one thing to step away from something for now, or to see the gates get closed for you. The acting was so brilliant though, from them both, so many emotions in their little gestures and facial expressions. I somewhere read Edvin heard the song for the first time on that scene being sang, so his reaction was pretty genuine.

I think the whole thing about Simon leaving the room after finding out about Wilhelm and felice wasn’t about them being together, but the fact that it was ‘celebrated’, but him and wilhelm being together would never get that sort of reaction

I do think that heartbreak still is one of the things that hurts the most. it's not the same with every break up but with my first real love it exactly felt like I was gonna die. I kinda don't like when people say its just a heartbreak and laugh about it. I think Edvin is playing it amazing ❤️

How wonderful that you are back, we all have been waiting for this video for a long time, even if I found maybe you a little less inside the story, perhaps due to the time that has elapsed since the previous episode. Also, I am sure that now you will return to the roller coaster mood where you were before. This episode is full of tension and pain. Topical moments were, in my opinion, many. First of all, I think that the stupid "Wille on the table" moment triggered in Simon an unconscious willing to punish Wilhelm. In an interview I've read that at that moment Simon's anger was triggered by the evidence that Wille was resuming a heteronormative path, as the family and everyone expected from him, definitively betraying the last bond between them. Another absolutely painful moment was their chat in the locker room, where Simon dealt the first blow to Wille, declaring that he could not accept him for what he was, while he was already meditating on preparing the next hit (using Marcus, wich was so manipulative and controlling since the fist time, that I enjoyed everything happened to him). At that moment Simon has definitely lost control of himself, what up to that moment he had kept with all his might. However, crises are often necessary to go beyond the edges of oneself and change everything. The explosion happened at prom, with that panic of missing each other finally becoming a really real prospect for both of them. I believe that up until that moment, especially for Simon, this abyss had never proved so evident and terrifying. When all of this finally dissolved in that kiss (which, for me, enters the history of the most beautiful, passionate and intense kisses ever seen) we witnessed the relief of both; first with Wille's sigh between tears and smiles, then with Simon's, amid applause, when he's finished singing (and declaring) his song for Wilhelm in front of him and the world. it was wonderful, a pain, but wonderful.

Happy New Year. SKAM Norway season 3 is so good. And SKAM France season 3 too. Great chemistry, interesting issues of mental health, coming out etc. And Eliot in SKAM France is gorgeous, not that I noticed.
This wasn't the big celebration, that's for the school's 120 years Jubilee and the Queen will be there as a former student, that celebration is in the finale. This episode's 17th century costume party was for Valentine's day with a first performance of the new school song that Simon wrote for the Jubilee. Though it's actually a love song for Wille, in which the music teacher asked him to include the school's name.
This is so strange but I have noticed that the English subtitles are different in the US and the UK. There are things I read when watching your reactions that I know were different when I watched the episodes originally. They don't make that big of a difference but sometimes the translation makes a little more sense on yours than mine. For instance in this episode, your subtitles said "Felice was in my room but we were watching a movie..." where mine said "Felice and I watched a movie in my room." It is basically the same premise but yours makes just a little bit more sense for the context of the scene. I noticed it a few times in the last season too. EDIT: Just noticed something else and it actually changes the context of the sentence a lot I think. Your subtitles read from Felice "I think I was in love with you.. just because you're a prince." Mine said "I think I was partly in love with you... for being a prince." That seems very different to me, so it's just super interesting that it's being translated into the same language in different ways...

Or to Atypical, which has a great lesbian storyline from the beginning of season 2.
About Simon leaving the lunch angry, they explained it is because he is frustrated that it would have never happened if it was with Simon. It is the hetero celebration of it which makes him angry. Wille cries preparing his prince costume, because it makes it too real, his status I mean. i thought the same. It was a good second start, the episode 4. Because the constant waiting / fight are in the 3 fist episodes. It won't be sweet either later, you know the bitter sweetness of the serie but this episode is definitively a turning point.
Insulting people is not a sign of smartness from your part and very unecessary. The head writer of the series explained Simon reaction in the lunch scene. So if you know better than the series writer, good for you. And please try to respect people a little more it won't kill you.

Generally it hurts less if the partner cheats/moves on with the opposite gender. I think it hurts less because you don`t compare yourself as much with the next partner/affair partner as you would if it`s the same gender. You could even go sor far as to think "Welll maybe they prefer being with somebody of the other gender" so the breakup/cheating isn`t personal to you at all. So basically you "only" miss the time with the person, but your ego isn`t hurt like it`s often with breakups/cheating. That`s only what I know from hetero people though, it might be different if both are bisexual. A lot of hetero people don`t even see it as cheating when their partner kisses somebody of the opposite sex, that`s how much of a difference it makes.

"The boys in the band" (on Netflix) is a film I loved that is based on a play (not much action but great dialogue)

All seasons are good but especially season 3 because of the intense and beautiful love story between Isak and Even. You can watch that season as a stand alone since all seasons focus on 1 of the shows characters.

It still hurts even if Simon has been hanging out with Marcus. Simon in Swedish is pronounced more like See-mon/Sea-mon and yes it might sound a lot like another eng word. ^^ When I watch you always first I think you are talking about a woman when you say Simon because you don't pronounce it like Simon in eng or in Swe but like the name Simone. This wasn't the big celebration, that's for the school's 120 years Jubilee and the Queen will be there as a former student, that celebration is in the finale. This episode's 17th century costume party was for Valentine's day with a first performance of the new school song that Simon wrote for the Jubilee. Though it's actually a love song for Wille, in which the music teacher asked him to include the school's name.
This is so strange but I have noticed that the English subtitles are different in the US and the UK. There are things I read when watching your reactions that I know were different when I watched the episodes originally. They don't make that big of a difference but sometimes the translation makes a little more sense on yours than mine. For instance in this episode, your subtitles said "Felice was in my room but we were watching a movie..." where mine said "Felice and I watched a movie in my room." It is basically the same premise but yours makes just a little bit more sense for the context of the scene. I noticed it a few times in the last season too.
EDIT: Just noticed something else and it actually changes the context of the sentence a lot I think. Your subtitles read from Felice "I think I was in love with you.. just because you're a prince." Mine said "I think I was partly in love with you... for being a prince." That seems very different to me, so it's just super interesting that it's being translated into the same language in different ways...

About Simon leaving the lunch angry, they explained it is because he is frustrated that it would have never happened if it was with Simon. It is the hetero celebration of it which makes him angry.

i thought the same. It was a good second start, the episode 4. Because the constant waiting / fight are in the 3 fist episodes. It won't be sweet either later, you know the bitter sweetness of the serie but this episode is definitively a turning point.
Insulting people is not a sign of smartness from your part and very unecessary.
The head writer of the series explained Simon reaction in the lunch scene. So if you know better than the series writer, good for you.
And please try to respect people a little more it won't kill you.

Generally it hurts less if the partner cheats/moves on with the opposite gender. I think it hurts less because you don`t compare yourself as much with the next partner/affair partner as you would if it`s the same gender. You could even go sor far as to think "Welll maybe they prefer being with somebody of the other gender" so the breakup/cheating isn`t personal to you at all. So basically you "only" miss the time with the person, but your ego isn`t hurt like it`s often with breakups/cheating.
That`s only what I know from hetero people though, it might be different if both are bisexual.
A lot of hetero people don`t even see it as cheating when their partner kisses somebody of the opposite sex, that`s how much of a difference it makes.

The kiss at the end of this episode...the first flicker of hope after at least 2 months (between Christmas and Valentine's Day) during which we had no happy interaction between Wilhem and Simon 😍
My little recommendations:
Sense8 (on Netflix) is a show with a lot of queer representation and one whose pitch I loved.
"The boys in the band" (on Netflix) is a film I loved that is based on a play (not much action but great dialogue)
you can tell they still love each other and they both hurting each other because they dont know what to do because of what has been going on in there lives they need to sit down and talk things out of what they both want.

All seasons are good but especially season 3 because of the intense and beautiful love story between Isak and Even. You can watch that season as a stand alone since all seasons focus on 1 of the shows characters.

6:25 Simon knows that he’s not in love with Marcus, so to him, he doesn’t see the double standard of his feelings/actions. He was caught off guard that Wille was with someone else. It still hurts even if Simon has been hanging out with Marcus. Allegedly, the writer mentioned that Simon was upset that he and Wille were never “celebrated” (???) with this stand on a chair thing as a same-sex couple, but now that Wille made out with Felice, that was celebrated. The hetero love is lifted up (literally) while the same-sex love isn’t. I haven’t found that interview with the writer but another commenter had mentioned it.
Simon in Swedish is pronounced more like See-mon/Sea-mon and yes it might sound a lot like another eng word. ^^
When I watch you always first I think you are talking about a woman when you say Simon because you don't pronounce it like Simon in eng or in Swe but like the name Simone.
BUT do not take this as me saying you are doing something bad/wrong, say it however you want. I just thought it might be nice to know and that maybe you hadn't really thought about how they pronounce it (8:57).
