West Virginia is a great place to visit if you want to see the changing colors of the trees. You can literally stand atop one mountain and look down on another with every color of tree you can imagine it’s breathtaking!!!
You did a terrific solo reaction Millie!!!!! And the foliage in New England is incredible. I live in Rhode Island and I make sure to take a day off and drive through the countryside north to enjoy the leaves. It never gets old every year that goes by.
The beauty of the autumn colors in the US is absolutely gorgeous! Hopefully one day you'll get to experience it. Great job Millie! I think a Millie channel would be awesome! 😊

It's funny how Americans are perceived. After having traveled abroad, I kind of agree that Americans (including Canadians and Mexicans) are friendlier than Europeans and Asians. Once, after finishing graduate school, I moved to the Silicon Valley for a job. I drove to San Francisco for a work meeting. I was on the corner of King and the Embarcadero (next to the Bay and the baseball stadium) when I saw someone waving at me. Thinking that they knew me, I waved back. When I stopped at the traffic light where they were standing, they proceeded to get into my SUV. Within a moment or two, they realized that I wasn't a taxi. They were embarrassed and immediately apologized. I laughed and asked them where they were going; and, they told me that they were going to the tourist area known at Pier 39. I told them to stay in and I just drove them to it. They were older people and tourists visiting the city for the first time. They offered to pay me; but, I just laughed and thanked them for the experience and a tale to tell others. I told them to keep their money and buy something nice at the international candy shop on Pier 39 (just off the bay). They were surprised that a complete stranger would simply drive them a couple of miles down the road. However, I've lived all over America. I've traveled in Mexico and Canada too. I think that you'll always find kind people like that. Once, as a child, our family was caught in a blizzard in Delaware (when traveling from my grandmother's home in Pennsylvania back to Virginia Beach). The police were shutting down the highway. We didn't know what to do. However, a woman came and knocked on my dad's car window. He rolled it down and she invited us to spend the night at her home. They were complete strangers too. They fed us dinner that evening and breakfast in the morning. The next day, they refused any money that my dad offered.
Autumn/Fall is gorgeous when the leaves first begin to turn, but sadly it's over with already. Leaves have been coming down like crazy meaning you have to rake them all up and bag them unless you want them there all winter long under the snow (which will then make the grass harder to grow in the spring time). It's an annoying chore because as soon as you clear out the yard then more come down. And congrats on the solo vid, Millie. You have definitely grown a lot more confident than when you first started.
Very nice first solo flight! I've met a lot of Europeans who feel a bit of disdain for or social superiority over Americans, until they get here and meet us. And see the places and landscapes and national parks and drive across states that are the size of European countries. And then they tend to fall in love with the US. It's a horribly messed up place, but it's also one-of-a-kind wonderful and amazing at the same time.
Millie, not only are there national parks (Point #2), but around 20+ classifications of National Park Service units that total just over 400. In addition, all 50 states have state parks as well.

From the people I have watched like yourself, Laurence and Sean, I think you would be great to have as friends. Hi Millie! I've lived here for many years, and I have only seen a fraction of the US. I'm originally from Louisiana and I actually have, on several occasions, taken off my clothes and jumped in the Mississippi river. It gets hot down here!
Re: National Parks. Glacier National Park, (Montana), and Waterton Lakes Provencial Park (Alberta Canada) combined to make the first international peace park. They are managed together as they are each part of the larger area and are very intertwined. There is a border crossing directly inside the two parks.
Great idea for a video, Lawrence looks so young. One thing I love about the Midwest is that we have full-on 4 seasons. I also really love our parks of all sorts that we have, Milwaukee which is where I live we have a lots of parks with plenty of paths to make it easier to navigate your way around. I have been to many large parks which change all the time depending on the weather and season. I do love Chicago which I will be going to so I can see the Christmas decorations. Also, I have been made aware how social I am when passing people on the street. I say hello and/or comment on the weather. People find it offense if you don't say at least hello.
Great solo video Millie! You and James are going to be surprised when little Archie starts speaking and he will have an American accent from listening to all the reaction videos in the background. 😄 LOL I noticed you recently did a reaction video to a song and wanted to suggest "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers - would love to see you react to that! Hope you, James and baby Archie can come visit the states again soon!! Love your channel!!
I’m from upstate ny and suger maples that’s what those trees are called the ones with all the colors there all over and it’s beautiful because there’s some places that’s got hills and all the trees and it’s one my favorite things about my home
Am I the only one who got the impression that after 9 months of no dinking, Millie figured she would have a drink or two and unwind on her own...? Good for her!!!!
Nota Bene: best fall foliage is September to October in northern New England. Then you drive south daily to “follow” the leaves’ changing all the way to CT, NY or NJ/PA But New England has the most brilliant colors for sure. Better than the photo in the video. The reds, oranges and yellows are deep, bright and stunning on a good year. A good year means ample summer rain and then chilly nights in sept/oct.
I loved this solo video. Little pauses and no not off the topic conversations. Don't get me wrong, I love the normal style videos, but this was a breath of fresh air. Great job.
IF you and James were to move here, it would be far easier for you to get a jumbo sized American refrigerator, with screens, and LED lighting, and an ice dispenser..
I enjoy a walk through a city park more than the immensity of a National Park. Lovely landscaping with walkways and benches is so soothing. In places like Washington DC, the squirrels are used to people and will come take food from your hand.
Always happy to see Ms. Millie's smiling face! Great reaction video! I split my week between living in the comparative flatlands of north central South Carolina and then in serious hill country within sight of the Appalachian Mountain range of East Tennessee, right near the most visited/most accessible National Park, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. So I see a wide variety of terrain in my back and forth trips, and the fall leaves colors in the mountains I have to cross on my weekly travels have been beautiful. I still love looking at them and I've lived most of my life in East Tennessee, so you'd think that they were old hat to me now, but they still draw my eyes. I spent 6 1/2 years as a Boy Scout and we were hiking and/or camping in the National Park at least once a month, plus my trips there through my active twenties before I had to focus more on work and such so I've only been there infrequently since. In all those trips I still have seen less than half and maybe not even a quarter of the National Park. It's so filled with history and beauty and everything wonderful. And occasionally there are bears. Avoid the fricking bears at all costs. There are still locals who don't follow that simple rule. Sheesh. Both states have beautiful vistas across valleys and forests, wonderful rivers and lakes, and South Carolina has the oceanfront too. There's lots of interesting history all around, as we tend to want to know where we've been (at least people from the old fogey generation like me, and I'm 55) and what has happened around us. There's so much interesting stuff to see and do, and so many preserved historical sites to visit. Someday make a trip to Knoxville, TN (as it is the closest 'big' airport) and from there you can make many forays into the wild wooded, hilly, and mountainous regions of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. 🙂
Not on are there National Parks (maintained by the US government) but each state have their own State Parks that are maintain by the state that they're in. Lets keep going, within each state you have many counties which of course is maintained by the county (usually sport complex, ie, swimming pools and sports fields). Is that enough? No! Some of our larger cities have city parks. The US loves our open areas.
Amazing video and great job Millie. I love seeing all of your videos either with James, your mom or one of you solo. More videos the better in my opinion. The leaves are changing here in New Jersey right now, most are different colors while some are holding on to their green lol
Old Larry boy is pretty observant. I traveled to about 22 states east of the Mississippi. The landscape is different in each one. One thing that I noticed living in Illinois and traveling through Missouri. In Illinois the land is so flat you can see 10+ miles ahead of you. Once you cross the Mississippi River and drive through St Louis visibility reduces to about a thousand yards because of all of the hills and curves.
I would like to suggest something different than the Golden Gate Bridge. Yes, we made sure to see it the one time we went to California, but it is, after all, (just) a very large suspension bridge. If you want an experience that makes you think you're about to meet your maker I would like to suggest the bridge/tunnel that crosses the Chesapeake in Delaware. You feel as though you are on the open ocean on a very short causeway, which appears in the distance to dip down INTO the ocean. Just disappears. It was worth every penny and was more thrilling than any amusement park ride.
Great video. I enjoy everything you, James, and your mom check out. I've been busy lately and I have a few videos to catch up on. Sorry I missed your recent live stream
WAY TO GO MILLIE11 I loved the solo reaction. You did a fabulous job. . .different from when you and James are doing it together, or even from doing it with your Mum, but very engaging and entertainin. You are such a natural, if feels like we're just sitting here having a chat. Please do more. --Allen
Well done on the solo hosting, by the way. One thing I hear a lot about is the relatively smaller percentage of Americans who have passports than people in other parts of the world. And yes, that is sad. But there are a couple of reasons for that, I think. First, as someone who longs to tour parts of Europe, I must say that the distance I would have to travel makes travel costs fairly high. It costs far less to travel from the UK to Norway, Austria or Italy than it does from the US. But that brings me to the second reason. The US is so large and has such diversity, a person could spend a lifetime traveling the US and still not see everything. I'm not saying the US has everything anyone would want to see (I myself would love to see churches and towns that are a thousand years old or more), but that is a LOT to be seen within our own borders. Anyway, good job Millie.
Good job on the solo video and congratulations on your new baby! I just want to say how much I appreciate all the kind words both the Beasleys and Lawrence have for the United States. Sometimes it feels like we are viewed as fat and "less-than" over here but I find us to be mostly friendly and helpful so an outsider's positive view is comforting. Southern Oregon has gone through the "red" phase of autumn and is now into the "yellow" phase of autumn which will immediately be changed into "well thank goodness we have pine trees or it would be totally brown all winter"! It is always lovely here.
I recently found out that there is a town in the state of Texas, called London. Also a town called Paris. They are further apart than the "originals". So I checked the distance from San Diego, California to Caribou Maine. That's about the furthest you can drive in the USA(without going out of your way). Road distance, not as the crow fly's. 5446km(3384 miles) From Gibraltar, Spain to moscow 4709km (2926miles). Just to demonstrate how big the USA is.
Mammoth Cave National Park in west central Kentucky is just a few hours drive from Chicago. When talking National Parks people often forget there's a whole Underground National Park, longest single (*) cave system in the known world (the heavy forest, with the Green River running through it, around the cave system is part of the Park, it's fun just to walk in a Old Growth Hardwood Forest, you can get lost in there though), Kentucky has almost as much land underground as it does on top (*)- single cave system as in you can literally get into the cave at any entrance and traverse the entire cave system, that is if you've got a few years to kill, and they are finding new connections all the time.
Millie confidence on camera has gotten so great at first she was shy and timid no more.
agreed - she's doing great. I know it will be hard with baby Archie, but I wish they'd show some footage from the "island life".

What a star, Millie. You've become much more of a natural in front of the camera. Keep on doing this.
Millie you did awesome. No problem doing some on your own. Perfect. Much love for the effort!
Yep the leaves in the Smokey mountains Blue Ridge parkway in October September fall time best place to see the colours change

Omg this was so much fun. Thank you Millie.
Who needs James? Well done, Millie!! The fall foliage especially in New England (Vermont and New Hampshire especially) is truly remarkable.
Millie great reaction. You did a great job on your own.
You go Millie.
Thanks. He does look much younger here.

Great video. I enjoy everything you, James, and your mom check out. I've been busy lately and I have a few videos to catch up on. Sorry I missed your recent live stream
I truly miss living in the North when the leaves change colors..so pretty
One more thing, I signed on to your vlog and there were 13 viewers, when I finished watching you had 177. Well done!
WAY TO GO MILLIE11 I loved the solo reaction. You did a fabulous job. . .different from when you and James are doing it together, or even from doing it with your Mum, but very engaging and entertainin. You are such a natural, if feels like we're just sitting here having a chat. Please do more.

Millie, love the name, it was my mother's name. would love to see you give us a little tour around Jersey!!!
I love that hes enjoying america, especially chicago where im from.
Great job Millie!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
You did an awesome job on this reaction!
Vermont in autumn is incredible Millie.

Millie you did a great job…and seeing your smile…and hearing your laugh…added to the enjoyment of this video!! 👍🏻
Good for you, Millie!! Congrats on the baby ❤️💕❣️
Hey.. YOU’RE lovely… 😘😋😆
