  • This week seems to have brought more colour into the garden as the spring bulbs start to bloom! I show you a few new purchases, along with purchases I forgot! Since filming this video, I showed Catherine what I'd bought her, so the secret is out!
We're so close to spring, I can feel it! Is there anything starting to bloom in your garden? And are you in any way surprised I bought seeds and forgot about them?!

I'm not certain it's the same, but I relate to your seed passion. For me it's garden pots; never met one I didn't love. Every time I bring a new one home, my husband and neighbors tell me I might have a problem. I always humbly agree and promise this is the last one, BUT I just love a new pot, sigh...Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden AND your seed collection!

Purchasing seeds/bulbs and plants can be addictive. Only now that I'm older, I have decided to only get what I am able to care for. Last year, things were unmanageable towards the end. A beautiful or edible plant is to be enjoyed, not to become overwhelming. Have a lovely week. Thank you for posting.

I am so envious of your weather. We still have snow! No pots of bulbs outdoors here. Yours are so inspiring, yes spring is coming! please. My husband put one of those clear bird feeders on a window in our home. The bird traffic was quiet at first, but now very busy. He also has several bird feeders hanging from our trees which draw a lot of birds and squirrels and chipmunks. The window feeder is cool, if you move very slowly the birds won't fly away at your approach and it is so lovely to see their beautiful colors and shadings up close. Plus, birdy feet, how cute. Thanks for your hint of spring video today - Laurie

I have my top dresser drawer FILLED with seeds and bulbs. Lol. Also this drawer is 30 1/4" long X 8 1/2" deep X 16" wide. And it's full......like FULL. I harvest seeds though every August, so I have those plus the seeds I buy. And don't forget bulbs. All the bulbs. Like 5 different flowers of bulbs. It's a lot. I do not care though. One day I'd love to fill an entire dresser!

You're well! Collecting seeds is a harmless addiction, so don't feel badly. Of course, I have to justify it because I have two big boxes 😂
But it's fun, and I am growing a lot from seed - but could never grow ALL of the seeds I've collected unless I moved to farm 🙄

Girl I'm not well either. I have 3, yes three, containers, like the new plastic one Catherine has, full of seeds, and I've ordered so many more seeds; flowers, veggies, and herbs lol. I. Can't. Stop. : ) At this point I need another seed storage container, and I'm ok with that. I call it investing in the future. I love the books!

I cannot wait to get Anya's book and I'm with you about pre-order anything. It's a little future treat for yourself. My window feeder thingy refused to play ball!!! It if wasn't collapsing backwards and falling onto the ground, it was doing a sucky slidy thing on its suckers down the window pane. I gave up on it.

The only problem is when it rains it fills up with water. The drainage holes aren't big enough, but too big and the food will fall through!. Loved the video as always x

Just an idea…..write or print a list of what flower seeds you have and stick it inside the lid of your seed box. Do the same for the edibles on the other side. When you want to buy more seeds, you’ll be able to see at a glance what you already have. Cheers from Australia 👍🦘

I sorted my seeds into sections for the months that they can be sowed - I know some can be sowed more often so will move them along into the following month I want to reseed - I just ordered 2 of these bird feeders this afternoon 🐦🐦 my grandson will love watching them - im also on the east coast (of England) in Whitby so get lots of seagulls 🥴🙄 I have a robin a couple of pigeons and lots of blackbirds and smaller birds all competing 🐦🐦‍⬛🪿 - there was a squirrel last year but not seen him since November 🐿️ my bulbs are finally pushing up too 🪻 hyacinth 🌷tulips and daffodils 🌼

Oh I’m definitely interested in what seed you have. Well I went seed and bulb shopping on Thursday. I couldn’t help but think of you as I was grabbing every seed pack of flowers that I remember you and Catherine plant. I’m surprised I remembered. lol I went a little seed crazy. Thankfully I have a walk-in greenhouse this year, yet to be put together but I have a good environment in which to plant and grow them for my planters. I’d love to see you do a beginner’s seed video showing how you plant seeds, care for and plant them in your garden or planters…including how you fertilize if you do. I love organic so any advice would be greatly appreciated…
I’m really looking forward to planting season with you this year. Oh and when do you start planting. It might be another video but I’d also like advice on what to plants you can put together. Thank you so much. Sherry, in the U.S.
