man i love the comment section under a dilla craft. everyone respectful and sharing positive thoughts. kinda feels like a family. appreciate everyone of you.
Im a producer in NW GA...its like me and one other person in the area that are nuts bout Dilla tracks...shit is weak...if it aint migos or drake nobody cares about it...truely sad
Dilla mastered the art of kick and snare separation as well as EQ'ng when needed. He has a bounce about his beats no one will ever do. Sometimes, listening to his stuff will Jack up my whole psyche and I can't make a beat or two until hours later. That's the gift of 4ever influence he has unlike any other
This is exactly how i have been feeling since i discovered him. Im stuck in the universe of his sound. Always a special place for me, especially when the world is too much.
You're speaking factsss!! & The fact you came back to comment & appreciate this art!! :) You're a man of culture bro much love homie honored to be the 100th like ahaha 💯✨💫 also is ur profile pic steezy af? I love the Lo-Fi channels on here
@@nolem5417He passed a little less than a year before I was born, but I’m so glad that I found out about his music. He’s the reason why I started making beats
Theres something about Dilla beats. I can identify the various elements and aspects of the beat but for some reason no one can replicate it. What's even crazier is Dilla's shit is often very simple, but for some inexplicable reason it sounds fucking incredible
Because it’s all instruments he did it all himself to machines except to record and get the flow he played the drums the keys did the vocals it was all real it wasn’t just a beat machine that’s why it’s so real and different
Got J Dilla on my recommended, clicking on his beats like I haven't heard almost all of his discography and won't come across a rare undiscovered gem. Though his essence compels me to anyway, and in doing so, I've found another amazing instrumental to bop too. Thanks Jay, the title's very fitting. Vibes of a versatile variety.
I swear there is not a month that goes by where I think Ive heard every JD track and then a new mind blowing one comes my way pure chance. This is a game I hope never ends. RIP
i havent seen or heard one dilla track that hasnt been a attack on my creation/dreams. titles mean a lot. dont judge me cos i got a different way of looking at the music.
One of them is a song from The Fatback Band. I don't know the main one tho, the one which is filtered, I've been searching for it as well. I'm pretty sure it must be a Singers Unlimited song since they have a lot of acapellas.
Just FYI, I believe the vinyl is ~99bpm @ 33rpm. I have to speed up about 5% to match this, I don't think someone rapped at 105bpm perfectly and clearly. The beat definitely sounds weird at 99bpm, the sped up version you hear here is mind blowing. If you do a custom playback speed of .95x you can kinda hear what it sounds like on vinyl but the audio here is low quality (vinyl is muffled/lowpassed as well but clear.) The discography I downloaded has this sped up version, so I'm wondering if that is where this video got it's audio or vice versa.
What’s crazy about all Dilla Beats is there is only a handful of dislikes, while other beats got wayyy more when they are pretty dope as well. They just not as dope
pac?? cube?? and chuck D? more like Pharcyde or some shit or CL Smooth even Busta but not Cube or Chuck d maybe early early Pac but still wouldnt sound right
Naw not pac, not cube or chuck d that would be weird asf and only pac if he used the flow he did when he made tracks wid digital underground then yea. Pharcyde or cypress hill go crazy on this

Isidro Santa Maria truth. He's a genius I'm always thinking this about his music
sometimes, less is more
i think it's because it was his style man, he influenced so much in modern music its crazy. and like Lifted said, sometimes less is more!
as a wise man once said simplicity is the ultimate sophistication

He was a musical god 🙏🏽

Definitely a fire beat right here, long live J Dilla, King of the Beats.
I love his early 90s beats more then I did his 2000s beats. I know he has a lot we haven’t heard yet
All of his beats are of equal quality and value. You must just learn to appreciate
This that 91’ Pete Rock and CL Smooth vibe.
Natives From Da Underground-Brothas Juss Don't Know
