Any song Lucy sings live is a rare special treat. I love that she has shown us then and showing us now her growth, by re-singing previously released songs. Live is better!👍🌹❤️
I've been following her since she started and was lucky enough to be able to see her live in Manchester. I wanted to know if she could really sing so incredibly wonderfully live. Believe me: she sounds even better in her live performance. I can fully endorse and confirm the conclusion of the reaction video.
Some trolls have said Lucy only sounds good in videos because she's been pitch corrected. Well several people went to her concert in Manchester, and said that "Live" she sounded even better than in her videos. So this is proof that Lucy unlike most singers today doesn't need any electronic manipulation.
This performance was simply STUNNING !!!! Lucy started out in her low register, maybe a little tired, her 17th song, an encore and built from there and she brought it home for us !!! Remembering too a live performance can have variances in them, Lucy can and did make little changes and that is what makes a live performance, and yes it was a more mature performance.....STUNNING !!! Thanks for the react !!!
An amazing performance as always, but to sing this song so beautifully after singing 16 songs before this is testament to Lucy's ability and professional talent.
Hi Maria so glad you got around to reacting to this live performance Lucy´s studio performance has 46million views and was picked for the Dennis Quaid Movie "On A Wing And A Prayer·" and many said is the most beautiful version of the song ever made. But this live version is on another level just fantastic. and I agree with everything you say concerning Lucy´s Abilities she is a super star Born this night at her Manchester concert.Thanks for continuing to support Lucy.

The video version is different because it is more intimate, being face-to-face. As she is singing to an audience, the live version allows Lucy to really go for it and showcase her wonderful talent. And, as you say, her voice has matured so much.
A live performance is just that as the singer decides how to sing a song !! !
The studio version was when she was 16. In the mean time she developed her low register more so now she did one hallelujah in low register (like in the Leonard C version). Lucy live is a sensation. If you had any doubt that she can sing...

It is interesting to see her use of the microphone, moving it away from her to moving it close up which is done deliberately as explained by another reactor in another of her stage performances. It explains some of her head movement with relation to the mic as well. This was a top notch professional performance better than the studio version about four years ago.

I was there! This was Lucy’s encore after a full two hour, 16 song concert before this, every song performed to perfection, the other 14 are on their way! I prefer Lucys live performances in pretty much every case, I’ve found 50+ so far!
When she was 16, she did "all by myself" and a year later she and her little sister did " the prayer". Both are incredible.
She did the studio version at 16. I heard that this song was an encore song after 17 songs in the concert.
Love her new lower register. Smooth, silky & sultry.

Hi Maria, Lucy just realised new video from Lucy's concert in Manchester At last.
A great performance and pleased that you enjoyed it. I have heard another reactor question if Lucy changes the lyrics. I don’t think she does. I think she sings the words so clearly that people are hearing the words that they maybe weren’t hearing before, which makes them think she has changed it.
She hasn’t changed the lyrics from her video 4 years ago and I believe follows the Alexandra Burke version. The more commonly sung version has an additional (excluding Leonard Cohen’s own multi verse song) verse which has more sexual connotations and is seemingly left out mostly these days. I believe the song benefits from being that bit shorter.
This stage performance was better. I attended. Lucy is so good at taking a song ,then wrapping her soul and warmth around it, then delivering to you exquistely. She is amazing believe me.

Lucy just turned 20 and Martha is 5 years younger. There is also a video with Lucy, Martha and their Mother. I heard the Grandmother also sings.
Hello Marie, I agree with you Lucy sings much better live, her concert in Manchester last month proved this, I know she will be having another live concert in Tokio in Selptember, then she must prepare herself for the musical "Rosie" which will be in the fall. Take care Barbara.

Yes, you are right. Lucy's studio performance was tremendous. But Lucy's live performance was nothing short of spectacular!
Lucy's voice has matured. Her voice is fuller and richer now.
Please, please, please continue being a regular reactor to Lucy (and her younger sister Martha).
Please do not hesitate to play and react to some of Lucy's earlier performances at ages 14 and 15.

The studio version may have been pitch corrected & maybe didn't show the real Lucy!,this live performance shows how great a vocalist Lucy is,there's no hiding on stage!,the last # of 17 & pitch perfect without anyone fiddling with it!😊
It most certainly could have been fiddled with before being released to RUclips. Personally I hope it wasn’t maybe people who were at the concert can tell if this is an unadulterated version. I love this rendition, perfection.

The reason this live performance sounds so good is because unlike the studio version, there’s no pitch correction or autotune involved. So many times a live performance will be pitch corrected before it’s released on RUclips, so the audio on the video isn’t the same as it was at the live performance. This performance wasn’t touched, thank God, so we get to hear Lucy’s beautiful natural voice with no technological interference! She needs to make sure she has full artistic control in her next recording contract so she can decide whether or not to use pitch control in her recordings. There are artists who have this written into their contracts, and Lucy is good enough to be one of them.

@@dxuisi How can there be autotune on a LIVE performamce? That would need to be done post-production, and everyone in the audience here can attest tjhat whet is heard here is what they heard live.

@@dxuisi It sounds like you are making an assumptiom and stating it as fact. What evidence is there that autotune was used? One would think that live autotune would ceate some "wobble" in voice here and there.
