Jon’s Descent into Madness Volume 2: Toadette’s Music Room. The Second board of Mario Party DS, starting off with a few connection issues and some heated duels with a surprise return of an old mechanic from the old Mario Parties.
TRG heads over to Toadette's Music Room, which seems to be playing salsa music...of the chunky variety. It seems that Ztars can be found in Hidden Blocks in this game, something that Tim (and Jon) learn the hard way.
The "pay-per Mario" joke was pretty clever. Also, wanna say, great work on these highlights. It's gonna be a blast reliving some of these moments. (Hoping that, in the top ten somewhere, is the bit from the finale where the group thanked Amber. I just thought it was really sweet)
Toadette is the master of timelines. If she wants Jon to suffer in her music room, she will kill everyone and start new timelines until Jon gets his patented 1 dice roll! 36:00 I think we know what Peach's favorite Zero Escape game is!
Here to your left, you can see a skinny purple man slowly having his dreams crushed by a pink princess and her little fungi friend, both empowered by starry blocks. And to the right, you'll see a gluttonous green dino who learned that not all hidden blocks will benefit the one who finds them. It's the standard life of all who play Mario Party.
Chunky Salsa: A condiment either Spicy or Mild enjoyed either on a burrito or dipped in with Chips or A point of low Internet connection when playing with friends
Who let Mario Party DS cook that chunky salsa?? Now then, continuing my analogy of TRG as the McDuck cousins from last video, Proton Don is leading the competition for most of the board, until a very chaotic last turn shifts the lead towards lucky Chuggstone. Angry squawking ensues. And somewhere in the middle of all this, Timethry gets a Ztar out of a Hidden Block, which is somewhat in line with Fethry, as weird things happen to him in the comics pretty often. But Tim is an easygoing guy, and just lets that slide like water off a duck's back.
In chapter two of Salt-on Jon, we learned that Emile wins at the very last second, as usual, while Jon continues whining musically throughout Toadette's room as he gets frustrated from losing to Peach....twice.
Jon talking about the record of stars that were earned in Mario Party during Toadette’s Music Room was interesting, considering the next board that we get to is going to shatter that hard. So, guys, look forward to that next time!
Ah, the most chaotic Mario title, and the one where Jon blew out his voice. Can’t wait for the next board, and Chugga’s mistake of not knowing of the infinite star glitch!
@@WriterRubesthat’s a pretty rare thing to get on the final 5 frenzy so the game just did it to piss off jon cause it knew Emile didn’t know there wasn’t a cap 😂😂
Don't forget to clear your Bowser history before watching this part, to make sure a communication error doesn't occur and you don't get sent back to the title screen
The crew now stumbles into Toadette's Music Room. A place where they get warped by violins, launched by the timpani and where they have the craziest last turn ever! Next time, they'll run into a stone statue of an old monkey friend...
More of Jon's rage coming out, especially on the last turn. No hate for Jon, but he is funny when he gets angry. Just remember Jon, your happy place.........a world where Emile doesn't pun you to insanity.
Two rounds in, Emile is off to his best start since the original Mario Party. Meanwhile, they have to worry about the same problem that cost Tim a Star during the Clockwork Castle match, and at the same time they need to overcome a blonde princess in a long pink dress and matching high heels. Unfortunately for Tim, he finds out that a certain something from the GameCube Parties can be found in an unexpected place, one that combines with a Hex to royally cost Jon later on.
The guys arrive in Toadette's Music Room and after being kicked out by her twice they go for round 2. Jon's anger is still calm aside from some duels but it has yet to come. Jon's anger will come out when they go see Emile's past life preserved in stone.
Communication errors, it begins, lets hope next board doesnt have that… what do you mean It happens twice more to give someone the greatest star record TRG has seen?
With the Mario movie now available for streaming (It came out in April, about a month after Emile's birthday and Mar10 Day.), and Pikmin 4 set to come out on July 21st, I get the feeling we will hear Tim or Emile singing Jack Black Bowser's "Peaches" in a let's play very soon. I am also expecting to hear Emile comment on the Wollywogs and Oatchi (Pikmin's version of Poochy, for all gaming purposes) and the newest Pikmin type, Ice Pikmin! Toadette's Music Room is my favorite board in Mario Party DS. I have a musician background, so the board events, general aesthetics, the background music, and how the board is laid out all resonate well with me. Didn't intend to make a music joke with "resonate", but as Emperor Hans Joseph in "Amadeus" would say, "There it is."
I am just now seeing this clip compilations of the Mario Party DS LP, and I haven't even seen the majority of the actual LP. But I just wanted to say that I am actually in school learning how to give voice lessons (something I'm getting my master's for too) and that Emile would be an interesting student to have. Definitely one of the first things I'd do is teaching him how to match pitch on a piano, and of course we'd work from there. After that, he does have the right idea in that it can only be up from there. Maybe I'm just spouting nonsense, but I wanted to give my 2 cents on the topic of Emile learning to sing. :)
TRG In The Land Of Dainty Sweaters Episode 2 Highlights: We open with a bad pun courtesy of Tim followed fairly shortly by two communication errors followed by another bad pun from Tim, there is out of nowhere discussion on size differences in clothing brands, and Emile has a major surge of good luck at basically the last second.
You can really see the difference between a Normal difficulty CPU and a Hard CPU from this board and the last, Emile is absolutly right about them being cracked at the minigames. The board... not so much
ok 3rd times the charm with the price of stars changing any time the last one has been got who will come on top and how much will jon rage hopefully not as much as the last bord next time: so it looks like you can get more them 5 stars

They call this board "Toadette's Music Room" because the game plays you like a fiddle.

40:12 "I trusted Sticker Star, that was a mistake." Now Jon knows how Emile feels XD.
"Fair Square is still the record for stars!"

It seems that Ztars can be found in Hidden Blocks in this game, something that Tim (and Jon) learn the hard way.
It's also terrifying if you aren't aware that ztars were in previous Mario parties.
Everyone thought Jon getting mad at Tom in Fortune Street was gonna induce a rage black out, this game alone literally did it.
Was this in the Good Egg Galaxy board?

A singing Emile would be too much power for one man.
The only board in the series where the bonus stars had the possibility of mattering at all
And in this one, after many mishaps, they managed to get into the *groove* of thing.
(Did Jon actually, though...?)
I like to think that the reason why the connection kept crashing is because the Mario Party gods were scared Jon would win.
Maybe although it did crash right after Emile got the star 🤔

The second of multiple occurrences that warrant a visceral reaction from Jon: the reveal of hidden block ztars

“I LOVE YOU PEACHES PEACHES PEACHES PEACHES PEACHES!!”
“Now gimme 20 coins”
