  • A really simple time-lapse of ice cubes melting in 4K. I put a candle behind the ice to give off a little more heat and try to make a nice effect, it didn't work, the candle burnt down much faster than the ice melting.
I used the GoPro to make this video using the timewarp setting and sped it up on iMovie by x8. I also added a reverse time-lapse which I think is quite nice to watch.
Music is The Hardest Part by Jeremy Blake.

I love making them and seeing the result. This took a couple of attempts. First time, I did it outside and the battery went dead. Second time, it was totally out of focus because I used a cardboar box for the camera tripod, it got soaked in water as the ice melted and the camera collapsed through the box. I think this one was 3rd time lucky lol

I was going to order some ice skull moulds but think they may be too small. Just an idea that came to mind after I uploaded the video, always the case lol.

As always, you are very welcome and thank you for watching. I have some more ideas but will be out and about with the kids and drone the next week. I pick them up from the mums tomorrow and as it's summer, I will be taking them to a lot of nice places. They love the drone so great excuse to get some nice "from above" videos of Cornwall. I will be doing some slow motion and timelapse videos next week. Also have a telescope, will be hopefully doing a tour of the sky, if we get a clear night and we work out how to line it up. I have some friends staying from next weekend who will be able to help, I hope!

Most unfortunately, this is what happens to the glaciers on top of the nearby Alps, too 😢.

Climate change on a smaller scale. Something to think about. Thanks.
